Aurina smiled sheepishly, "It's not like I don't want to tell you. But I spent too much time to improve my skill, then I forgot."
Alfizar's sight returned to normal; he gathered himself together then took a slow, deep breath. He began to get used to sudden visions. But the more violent ones often caught him off guards and he almost got trapped in them even after the vision ends.
'Aurina is here. She is alive. She is here.' Alfizar could feel himself calming down.
Aurina, Henry, and the rest of his friends all began to talk about the CCTV footage. Except for Dioz, he seemed to be a little out of it. But no one can really blame him, he was probably still dazzled by the unexpected shock.
"I see..." Aurina nodded from behind her work desk. Rachzi just finished briefing her on the situation, and what they need her for. She shut down her laptop after unplugging the small device she had been working on before.
"Let's go to Computer Club. I don't have everything that I need here." Aurina began to pack her things. It's turned out that the Computer Club's room only next to the Tech Club. The room was not big but it looked very different from the messy Tech Club. The Computer Club looked clean and well organized.
Computers of the latest model were neatly arranged in the room. Most of the computers were used by the club members. The monitors were very thin, but it wasn't made of glass because having a transparent monitor wasn't really comfortable to use.
"Cathleen!" Aurina dumped her heavy bag of electronic devices on Alfizar and skipped to a nerdy looking girl. Alfizar stepped back, startled and bumped on Vianzo who was standing right behind him.
The two exchanged pleasantries for a few moments before Aurina gets back to the business.
"The main computer?" Cathleen considered their request. She looked a little conflicted, unable to come up with a decision. Cathleen eyes wandered from Aurina to the rest of them before stopping and looked past Alfizar, then her troubled eyes went back to Aurina.
As if she knew that their request would be probably get rejected by Cathleen, Aurina quickly made a deal with her. Aurina leaned closer to Cathleen's ear and said in a low voice that only those in their group could hear.
"I will make that level 7 firewall cracker device you tried to convince me to make last week."
Cathleen took a few seconds to process what Aurina just said. Her eyes widened in surprise before a gleeful smile broke upon her face.
"Don't take back your words! Here!" She dropped a small silver key on Aurina's waiting palm. Aurina grinned back after she got the key. "No more than an hour!" She warned.
Aurina took them to a separate room, then she unlocked the door with the key she got from Cathleen. The room is small, but no one paid attention to the room's size. This is because all of their eyes were already staring at the 'special' computer. It has a sizeable monitor that is comparable to six monitors arranged into two rows.
In addition, there is another monitor on the side; it's a normal small-sized monitor that looked like an extra. Aurina quickly turned on the weird computer while explaining things about the computer to the 'tech-blind bunch' in her words, proudly as if she had been the one who built it.
According to Aurina, they could only use this computer if they wanted to access the school's database directly. That was one of the reasons why this computer was off limits.
Aurina took a seat in front of the computer. With an excited smile, she connected the computer with her laptop.
"Are you sure about this? We are breaking the school's rules like this." Vianzo's voice was low in concern. His expression looks uncomfortable.
"That's definitely what you expect from the teacher's favorite student. Obeying the rules even if the teacher isn't here," Frans said thoughtlessly. Then, he snickered when Vianzo shoots him an angry look. "Did I said that out loud?" The answer was obvious just by looking at the rest of his friends. "Ah, sorry!" He raised his hands in defense as if expecting a smack from someone.
Alfizar could see it from Vianzo's expression; he suppressed his irritation and probably also the urge to smack Frans's head. Alfizar has an odd feeling again. Was it just him overthinking things or was Frans really targeting Vianzo?
"Don't worry about school's rules." Aurina suddenly said. She was accessing GIPEC's database right now. The monitor displayed a virtual box asking for ID and password. Being the hacker that she was, Aurina knew she shouldn't input anyone's ID.
"We won't get caught unless someone tell on us to the teachers. And look at this." Aurina took out the small phone-like device; it was a bit thicker than a phone and seemed to be also a little heavier. She waved the device around proudly; this is the device that she had been working on when they barged into the Tech club.
"What is that? Isn't that the device you worked on before?" Rachzi asked curiously, he had been curious about it since he saw Aurina working on it earlier on. Aurina nodded happily as she connects the device to her laptop with a short cable.
"That's right, but it's not completed yet. I need to upgrade a few things in it, and have to reprogram it a little. I called it Virtual Hammer." She giggled. The laptop's screen displayed a black screen with series of blue numbers and commands. The boys in the room looked at the display in confusion. Obviously, they didn't understand a single thing in the monitor.
"Virtual Hammer?" Frans wondered out loud. Aurina glanced at him with a bright smile.
"I'm glad you asked! It's named Virtual Hammer because it was like a hammer that will force its way in and break down the wall I want to infiltrate. The CCTV footage wasn't as important as GIPEC's information or students' information, so they didn't put much security wall on it. But I don't recommend anyone to try cracking the wall comma" she said.
"I need to work on it more before I could hack my way into a higher level security wall."
"Aurin, since when did you learn hacking?" Alfizar asked seriously. He knew his sister was clever enough not to do anything dangerous that could possibly lead it back to them. But still, one wrong move, and the more powerful hackers will be able to trace their tracks.
It is dangerous.
Aurina suddenly stopped typing on her laptop; her fingers paused in mid-air, then all her fingers curled into a fist. She looked at Alfizar with determined eyes.
"Brother, I want to talk. Just the two of us, tonight." There's no room to refuse, and Alfizar won't refuse. One look into her eyes, and he knew she is being serious. Plus, it's clear that she doesn't want to talk about it with his friends in here.
Henry, who was standing beside Alfizar felt left out in the sibling's bonding time.
In case you wondered. Yes, Cathleen looked past Alfizar.
*staring at the power stones* (・o・)
Am I really going to get 70 power stones?
Ah, sorry for the late chapter. But don't worry, I will definitely give you 3 chaps per week. Unless something unfortunate happens.
*Thinking about next thank you gift*
