Since the beast was far too large to be dealt with in just a few hours, Kay told Lau to send another message to the Elder Treant. They needed more workers to come, this time with some soldiers for protection and, if possible, four young soldiers who could help guard the area.
It didn't take long for them to arrive, bringing along some temporary camping gear that Ay had been working on with the village craftsmen. The setup was pretty simple since it was made from wood and large, dried leaves; mostly it wasn't something fancy, but it was practical and easy to carry.
So, they got to work right away, setting up a small camp for Kay, her girls, the soldiers, and the laborers. The newly arrived soldiers were there to make sure the transport teams moving between the camp and the village stayed safe.
