It's over 9 000!!!

I've never been properly unconscious before, so this is a new feeling. Though, isn't it supposed to be similar to sleeping? Or maybe just feeling nothing at all?

Instead of that, I feel like I'm floating in space, and everything around is just white.

Do I just sit here and wait until I get better, or do I do something?

I don't really care what I'm meant to do, but it's super boring to just sit here doing nothing, so i may as well fly around. Fly is a very loose term I'm using, because really, I just kinda.. move, but without moving. Hmm, It's pretty hard to describe it.

~~~
After some time, and I really don't know how much time has passed, I see something that looks slightly odd, because around it, the white haziness of this place is diluted, like it's fading away.
As I get closer and closer to it, the picture becomes more and more clear, and the white becomes less and less potent, until I finally see the exit.
Huh, so that's the experience of being knocked out in a fantasy world. I finally fly through and into the image, and then I feel my body once again.
So, how long have I been laying on the ground? I guess I should ask.
"Hey-" I stumbled while trying to call out Lime, because my throat was so dry that even speaking hurt, and I tried to shout.
But the "hey" was enough to get her attention, goo thing she didn't walk away to far.
"Could you get me *cough*, something to drink" I whispered, doing my best to not damage my voice.
"Will do, Master." And once again, she called me master. I really need a name, especially if I want to sing up as a hunter.
While Lime has gone to get some water, I want to check my status.
So much stuff has happened in the past 2 days that I completely forgot to see what skills and stats I have.
[?????: Level 1]
[exp to next level: 0/9001]
*Level up or use a status plate to see more information*
Ahaha, what kind of joke is that?
9001 experience to level up?
I have no words, to be frank.
But whats more annoying, is that I can't actually see what kind of stats or abilities I have until I level up, or get status plate. I would like to avoid using a status plate, because it might give away that I'm a hero, and problems will definitely become unavoidable.
Well then, the only other option I have is to level up, isn't it?
"Wha-- *gulp*, *gulp*." I was just thinking about different stuff, and suddenly, a water sack gets stuffed into my mouth.
"Thanks for the water, but you could have warned me about your arrival." I say in a slightly irritated tone, half-joking tone.
There are merchants at the place where the road gets split in two, and they sell overpriced water, food, and bandages, for people who forgot to bring supplies with them, like us, or for those who stayed out there for longer than intended.
Water sacks are pretty cool one-time-use bubbles of water that water mages are able to make. Its basically like water in a shell, and the shell also turns into water when you put it in your mouth.
~~~

I get up and do a bit of a stretch.

"The kobolts didn't escape or anything while I was out, did they?" I ask just to make sure.

The trap we set up was pretty simple, yet very effective against those guys.

After Lime used the [taunt] shield ability, all the kobolts started charging directly at her, ignoring everything that was happening around them, including pain and injuries. With that in mind, we dug all of the broken daggers into the ground, and since they were running on all four feet, couple with the fact that they are short, they cut themselves on the daggers and became very slow. The ones that didn't get trapped can just simply escape, it's not like we miss out on too much experience if 2 or 3 of them don't get caught. Then Lime cut the tendons of the ones that were caught with one of the 2 new dagger I bought, so they can't escape and stay there until I kill them.

I smile at the thought of leveling up and getting stronger, so, unable to wait anymore, I grab a dagger and stab the first one.

{experience gained +25}

"Wait, what?"

If our Main Character wanted to Level Up, he would have to kill 361 kobolts.

Do you have any guesses as to why he needs so much experience?

As always, I hope you enjoyed this chapter.
