Worrying about the future

I go to the kitchen and Lowell is drinking a cup of coffee on the counter "Your cousin is out in the woods, he said you should meet him there.''
I nod as I walk over to the counter and pour myself a cup too. I sit down opposite him, and he looks away from his phone.
"I am glad you are here Tala. I never thought you would step foot in my home again."
I smile even though I know that he wants to talk about Roman and the things that happened.
"Yeah, I have no beef with the shadow pack. Just not the best place for me to be at.'''
He nods in agreement "What happened between you and Walker Fields?" he watches me, and he must take my silence as refusal to talk about it "If you don't mind telling me.''
I know I can't talk about this thing with Walker because I am not ready for everyone to be all up in our business, but I can still talk to someone a little bit. Even if I will have to stretch the truth a bit.
