Familiars and Witches

Dorothy came back to her room with Malvonia food, and theirs on a cart.

"I'm back with your food, Mal." She smiled to see both Almira and Malvonia are sleeping together.

Both of them woke up.

"Oh! Wonderful!" Malvonia walked up to the table, in her human form.

Almira smells the meatballs. "Smells tasty!" Almira used her magic to pull one meatball then cool it down before eating it. "Wow! That's spicy!"

Malvonia starts eating the veggie platter with meatballs. "So delicious! I might want you to be my Master!" She eats her meal.

"Oh, I just followed the instructions, then got help from Mrs. Webster's apprentice."

"Margaret?" Almira sat up.

"Yes. You know her?" Dorothy asked as she's eating the veggies.

Almira walked up and had made a plate for herself. "I worked with her a couple times in the past. Normally for maintenance for her car back in England." Eating veggies.

"You were a better mechanic than a cook." Malvonia said to Almira to irritate her.

"Malvonia!" Almira snarls at her who's laughing at it.

"So do all Witches have a Familiar?" Dorothy asked after she swallowed her meatball.

"Mostly yes. It's a requirement. Familiars are there to aid you whenever you need help, or help in a fight or escape. Most Familiars tend to have teleportation ability." Almira answered.

"Quite so. Even though they're beyond useful for Witches, Humans can drive and even fly, so teleportation isn't much of a requirement for them. For example; I was presented with beauty. Something that most Witches tend to pass to their Familiars due to feeling older or uglier."

"That being said, this was centuries before we figured out that we need a virgin's blood in order to maintain our youthful appearance. So we just imagine our terms of beauty onto our Familiars. Malvonia have a pretty interesting set of magic spells she can cast."

"Such as Seduction. That's a popular trait to lure in poor unfortunate souls for either robbing them or killing them." Malvonia sharpen eyes pierced Dorothy's soul.

"You have killed people before?" Dorothy turned to Almira who didn't seem to be bothered by the question.

"I told you already, I did my fair share of killing Magical Girls. I only kill them as self defense. I rob people to make a living. But should see what Malvonia can do to people. Quite funny." Almira smiled.

"That is...?" Slowly turned to Malvonia who smiled creepily at Dorothy.

"We tend to call it Jinx, but it's a simple transformation spell that's quite reversible. See that plant there." Folk points at it.

Dorothy nods.

Malvonia lets out a small orb towards the plant, which transforms into a plant monster. "We can manipulate things like that. But what these Magical Girls tend to call it, monster of the week. Normally to play around with them. They won't cause harm, unless our Master wishes for it. I would normally prank them whenever we see them. Just to amuse us."

Almira gives out an old Witch's crackle. "I remembered the one down in Spain at one point. Remember the Matador?"

"How can I forget?!" Malvonia laughed with Almira. "A bull that looks like a bullfighter. Imagine what it thought of."

"Why imagine? It spoke in front of the Conquistador Magical Girls at that time. They didn't know what to do till the Pink Conquistador cured it. Such a mess but one hell of a prank!" Almira continues to give out the Witch's crackle.

"If you did kill Magical Girls, did you kill them?" Dorothy asked as she ate the veggies.

"Didn't feel like killing that day. I just need a good laugh, and those brats provide us with entertainment." Almira sat back with a happy look.

"So what else can Mal do?" Dorothy asked.

"Let see; teleportation; jinxes; seduction; strength, that's a simple one, you can carry twice the weight of the Master's mixed with mine; speed, same thing as the weight; transformation; and advanced mathematics." Malvonia answered.

"Advanced mathematics? Like my old friend back from my time period." Dorothy impressed of Malvonia love of math. "So you have an interest in math?"

"Not exactly. It's just that Almira seemed to have an interest in it but got tired of it. So I got a brain of a mathematician." Malvonia writes down a math equation.

Passed it down to Dorothy. Her head started steaming as if her head had over done it. Eyes rolling and feeling dizzy of the equation of five times ten.

Malvonia chuckled as she solved it herself. "It's a simple answer, but this is nothing compared to math that has advanced from your time period. Like this one."

Passed another impossible equation that Dorothy starts to see numbers and letters flying off the page itself and they start mocking her.

"These are the ones that would have made you go crazy." She smiled calmly at her.

"Yeah..." Dorothy is trying to cool down. "I wouldn't have made it through school if I was in this time period, I could barely solve the previous."

"You'll figure it out. So where are you planning on getting a Familiar while you're here? I had seen a couple strays that would love you." Malvonia said to Dorothy, talking about Familiars.

"I was hoping for a dog, but I honestly don't know if I'm ready to move on. So perhaps I could go with a cat. Does it have to be a girl?" Dorothy asked.

"No. It can be either a boy or girl. Even a kitten, but they'll look like an actual child. But perhaps while you're making your Wand, I can look around to find you a Familiar." Malvonia suggested.

"Actually, I'll just find one at Oztown." Dorothy respectfully declines the offer. "I think I already did, when I was having a little tea break with Becky at the cat cafe."

"Alright then." Malvonia nods. "There should be plenty of strays. I might have seen an Irish born cat, and an Aussie. But do you have a name then?"

"Darien."

"Darien?" Malvonia is confused over the name choice. "Please explain why that name?"

Almira thinks more of the name choice then she remembers. "Oh, that's why."

Dorothy smiled at her. "You remember him too, right?"

Malvonia seemed to be lost. "Can you two please explain to me. Because I don't seem to figure it out. Or this inside joke."

"I can't believe you forgot already, Malvonia." Almira poured herself some wine. "Darien, who was the name of my so-called late husband."

"I don't ever recall you being married before, or even at the time period." Malvonia said. "Even before you met me, you never slept or married a Darien."

"It was a name that I had to make an excuse why I lived alone. Back then, women who lived alone were usually accused of being widows. So Darien came up." Almira explained. "So you're picking the name Darien because you're living alone."

"Actually, I picked the name because I kind of liked it. Plus it was the most unique name I had ever heard at the time. So unique names tend to stay in the mind." Dorothy smiled at them. "Thinking of you two, how did you two meet?"

Malvonia looked at the picture. "We met in Ukraine. I was a stray, and down in my death bed."

"She was looking so sick, I had to take her home. We didn't get along at first. Actually, she kept biting me, scratching the crap out of me. And speaking of crap, I tend to take them on my clothes and bedsheets. It was so bad, I kind of wanted to kick her out and let her die out there." Almira remembers the moments with Malvonia.

"So what made you change your mind about that?" Dorothy asked.

Almira looked at a mirror that resembled herself back then, looking like an old hag. Dying and sick. "She reminds me of myself. I too looked like hell, so we work it out together. Till we met a virgin."

"Which I found by accident." Malvonia added.

"And managed to keep myself looking young. So for that, I made her my Familiar. We have been stuck together ever since." Almira said. "We made peace with a little conflict at the side."

"And where did this happen?" Dorothy seems interested in the backstory.

"Where Witches tend to be at their worst." Almira answered. "But you ain't ready to come face-to-face with a Plague Witch."

"Plague Witch?" Dorothy asked.

"You think us Salem Witches are bad. A Plague Witch is much worse." Almira said. "But I'll tell you about them when you're making your Wand." Finished up her meal.

"I'm gonna call it a night." Malvonia transforms into her cat form after she wipes her lips. Going up to her cat tree to sleep.

"Then I'll take these back to the kitchen." Dorothy finished up her meal.

Cleaning up the dishes then exit the room with the cart.

Happy sign over the meal she made for them.

"Not gonna lie, I'm actually quite enjoying life as a Witch. Never thought to see myself in a hundred years of becoming one." Thinking to herself. "What kind of Wand should I make?"

Dorothy walked by till she accidentally shoulder tackled another Witch. "Sorry." Dorothy bowed.

The Witch she tackled doesn't seem to be in a good mood. Tired eyes. Bags. Have a 50's theme. "What did you say?" She talks down on Dorothy. She was around 5'2". Speaks like a Greaser.

"Sorry?" Dorothy replied.

She pushed Dorothy back to the wall. Holding up a switchblade that appears to be her Wand. "Tackle me again, little lady. I will cut your throat like Bitch you really are." Pressing her Wand onto the throat. She backed up. "Now get your stuff out of here!" She kicked the cart down. "Johnny! Come here for a bit!" She calls out a male boy, who also has a greaser look.

"Sorry lady!" Johnny walked up and patted Dorothy on the arm. "Ollie! What do you want me to do?!" He asked Ollie.

"Rough her up a bit!"

Johnny looks at Dorothy. "Sorry."

He punches Dorothy down to her knees.

"Now kick her!" Ollie orders.

Johnny kicks the side of Dorothy's head.

"Stomp her down!" Ollie continues as Johnny is following orders. Walking up to her, pressing her Wand onto Dorothy's throat.

Dorothy grabs the wrist then slowly manages to outpower her till both Ollie and Johnny are forced back.

Behind them, Almira is holding Ollie upwards, while Malvonia has her claws pressed around Johnny's throat. Both ready to kill.

"I believe you were about to go back into your rooms, little lady."

Almira shows off her green skin and black tattoos as her eyes are pitch black as her wand aimed towards her.

Ollie grinds her teeth. "Fine!" Ollie agreed. Both Almira and Malvonia let them go. "Johnny! Let's head back to our room!" Ollie glared down at Dorothy. "You better watch your back, because this Salem Witch ain't gonna be there to save your ass!" They walked away.

Both Almira and Malvonia help Dorothy up then clean up.

"Yeah, you'll have to deal with those kinds of Witches yourself." Almira said. "Anyways, are you alright, Dorothy?"

"I'll be fine." Dorothy cleaned up the mess that both Ollie and Johnny had made. Looking at Almira's skin turned to normal. "Mrs. Green, have you killed Witches before?"

Almira looked up to her. "Yes, I have."

Back at Oztown, both Serena and Becky are at the rooftop of a building.

Becky is looking through the window of her apartment, seeing both Peter and Mary are having an intimate night together.

Groan. "Guess I'm gonna camp outside tonight."

"Know a place?" Serena asked.

"Just down there!" She points at the water tower.

They leap down towards it, with Serena in the hoodie.

"Does this happen?" Serena questioned Becky.

"Whenever he's feeling stressed. And with all those bills, guess he needs something to help him out." Becky sat back on the top. "So what do you think of my performance?"

Serena lays next to her. "You did alright. Got a..." Serena paw pressed her collar to present a sheet of paper to Becky, "Recommendation for the Green Dorm."

Becky looked at it. Looking slightly disappointed. "Don't know why everyone thinks I'm only a Green Magical Girl material?"

"As much as I do like to have a promotion on finding a Pink Magical Girl, but when talent recognizes talent, this might be your only shot as a real Magical Girl."

Becky signed. "I know, but hearing what a Pink Magical Girl can make, my goal is make mine and Pete's life much better."

"Being a Green Magical Girl can help you in doing that."

"But I'm gonna aim high, as my mother used to say; it's either go high for that one shot, or be patient on going low. I'm not a patient person, so I might as well aim high." Becky said to Serena.

"Then you better be prepared for disappointment."

"I'm always disappointed if I'm surrounded by everyone who wants to hold me down. After fighting that Familiar, I'm gonna beat all of the Salem Witches." Becky smiled as she seemed to be happy on facing more.

"Well I'm gonna put these into public places while you get some sleep." Serena leaps down with the SD cards. "In the meanwhile, I'll make some calls since we might need some more help on bringing down Mariel Crimson."

"Then goodnight, Serena." Becky instantly fell asleep then started snoring.

"Goodnight, Ms. Wolfe." Serena carefully goes down the water tower with her Magical abilities.

"Seriously, she would be one of the most powerful Magical Girls if she can see through her delusional dream."
