8. 3 Months Long Training

When the next morning came, Ethan woke up; it was already 10 AM. With a groggy face, he sat up in bed. While looking around, he muttered, "Everything is the same... it was just a dream, huh? Sigh."

Last night, Ethan had seen a beautiful dream where he was living in a villa with dozens of flying cars parked in his front yard and beautiful girls coming and going. But everything was gone when he woke up. "Sigh... when will my dreams come true?"

"Wow! Your eggs aren't hatched yet and you're already counting the chickens," the System replied sarcastically.

"If you don't talk for a while, nobody will think you're mute, OK?" The System ruined his morning with just one sentence.

"What are you going to do today?" the System asked.

Ethan thought about it for a while and then said, "I've thought about it. I'm going into the forest for the next three months to increase my strength. After three months, I'll participate in a competition. I heard that the top 3 in this competition have a chance to take an admission test for the top 5 super colleges, and I want to attend one of them. That's my goal for the next year."

The System was astonished that Ethan had planned his future so meticulously.

"You surprised me, Ethan. When do you want to leave for the forest?"

"First, we have to buy necessary equipment for monster hunting. I'm going to be poor now."

"Hey, don't think about making small change. Just focus on the future."

After leaving his apartment, Ethan had breakfast at a stall. After that, he went to the market area to buy everything he needed for monster hunting and three months' worth of rations.

Even though he didn't have money to buy all these things, now that he was a supernatural being, he could earn money by registering himself at the Super Association.

After walking for 30 minutes, Ethan reached the Super Association building. It was a single-floor building but very large inside, similar in size to a football field. Seeing this, the System spoke up.

"Humans have really come a long way. Can you see this? This kind of space expansion is very difficult to achieve. Only a space-related supernatural being could do it, and only after becoming stronger than a Level A supernatural being. That means in your human race, there is already a powerful supernatural being whose strength is Level S or higher."

"Well, hearing you say that gives me a little relief."

"But it won't be enough; you have to work quite hard." Nodding slightly, Ethan went towards the counter.

After reaching one of the counters, Ethan stood in line and waited for his turn.

After about an hour, it was his turn.

"How may I help you?" the person behind the counter asked in a deadpan voice.

Hearing his voice, Ethan felt uncomfortable but didn't say anything. "I want to register as a supernatural being."

The staff member didn't seem surprised and handed him a form. "Fill this out," he said, then started using his computer professionally. After a while, he asked, "Have you finished?"

"Yeah, take it." Ethan handed back the completed form and waited silently.

"You see, Ethan, people like this are on the verge of madness because they don't have superpowers. They work hard every day just to get by, like robots. I'm telling you this so you understand that strength is everything in this world."

Ethan understood what the System was trying to convey and said, "Don't worry, I understand."

"Here, take this card. With this card, you can buy anything at a discount, but only within the Super Association. And every month, you can come here to withdraw your credit. It will also show you your current credit."

After the apocalypse, all banking systems had closed, and now only credits were in use. Taking the card from the staff, Ethan looked at it.

"Hehe... Maybe you forgot, but you were in a different space. Without staff IDs, no normal human can get inside. That's why the staff didn't ask about your power."

"But what if my powers are useless to the association?"

"It doesn't matter; to them, 3000 credits are just a number, nothing else."

After that, Ethan left the association and started his shopping. First, he bought a nice sword and a tent for sleeping, along with other provisions.

At 5 PM, Ethan completed his purchases and returned to his apartment to rest before training began.

The next morning at 5 AM, Ethan was ready to go, with all his things conveniently stored in his inventory.

After breakfast at the stall, Ethan headed towards the forest. Unbeknownst to him, a person a few meters behind was watching his every move.

Seeing Ethan heading towards the forest alone, the person informed his boss and quietly followed behind him.

When he reached the edge of the forest, System warned him about the stalker, but Ethan didn't take it seriously and marched forward without stopping, soon disappearing into the dense forest.

The person following him stopped and waited for his boss to arrive.

Ten minutes later, Delas, accompanied by his six underlings, arrived and asked about Ethan.

"Boss, he went that way about ten minutes ago."

"Okay, guys, you heard him. Follow me. It's time to teach him a lesson." Delas clenched his fists; he couldn't let go of someone who had embarrassed him in front of everyone, and this would turn out to be his biggest mistake.
