That was the nicest nap I have had in a long time. The bed I had found was so comfy that the minute I got into the sheets I just passed out. I could still here the sounds of battle outside, but I didn't really care about that. They are the Rocks Pirates aren't they? it'd take a lot for them to be on the losing end of the fight. Like A LOT. I had quite the dreamless slumber, it became a norm to me because I stopped dreaming the moment I had the devil fruit. Weird right? yes, but what could I do? talk to the devil to get my dreams back? I don't even know if God exists here to begin with.
Instead I began to use this free time to plan out my goals. In One Piece there were a lot of mysteries that were yet to be solved. Should I fixate on that? Should I just go on a pirating journey to find the One Piece? Should I pull off a Douglas Bullet and aim to be the strongest? Decisions, decisions; so many options, but such little time. I was currently in a perfect scenario, it seems that the battle of God Valley isn't to far off from happening. Moreover, the official plot of One Piece would be starting thirty eight years after the battle. If I wanted to set up a plan to accomplish something. Now was the time, but if I were to be truly honest. I kinda just wanted to watch it all, I mean; since when do you actually get to see anime in real life? Wouldn't it be better just to relive the good and the bad times in person. Naturally, there would be somethings I could try to change. However, not changes that would drastically change the entire plot of the story.
I don't know how long I napped, but when I woke up I found myself behind bars. My first reaction was shock, because frankly, I never thought I'd be able to sleep so hard that I wouldn't notice myself moving. My second reaction was frustration, I mean how unlucky do I have to be to find myself in a marine ship? 'Fuck, I can feel my energy going away because of these goddamn cuffs.' The seastone cuffs attached to my feet drained me of my ability to use my devil fruit. However, it didn't mean I couldn't break them with my bare hands. Just as I was about to reach over to break those damn cuffs. I heard the door open and a couple of footsteps rushing in followed by singular monotonous footsteps. The marines filed themselves into a line and stood at attention as a man wearing a three piece suit with a white cape on his back approached my cell, Garp looked at me before inquiring, "Did you enjoy your nap? The battle is already over, and imagine the shock I had when I heard that there was a pirate sleeping in my bed."
'So this is the hero of the marines, or future hero to be more exact' I thought, Garp had yet to beat Rocks and 'capture' Gol D. Roger, the would-be king of the pirates. I lazily looked at him before asking, "How long....was I out?" Garp grabbed a chair out of the nearby wall and brought it right up to me. It seemed that he wanted to have a long conversation with me. He replied, "A couple of hours, when we cuffed you, the storm receded. Indicating that it was nightime when we had to retreat. Tell me boy, are you the one that caused the storm?" I looked at him stupidly. 'Of course I was the one who caused it!! How else would the storm recede if I wasn't cuffed?' It seems that Luffy's, his grandson, stupidity was derived from this nincompoop in front of me.
I asked back, "Are you....asking for confirmation....or curiosity?" At the question, Garp brought his finger in his nose and began picking it before replying. "Confirmation, Sengoku said that he saw you make the storm, so we know what you're capable of-" His response would be cut short as an explosion would shake the entirety of the ship. A red light flashed in my eyes as I noted the intruder on the ship: Whitebeard. I heard a roar coming from the ship, "GURARARA!! WHERE IS MY SON YOU MARINE BASTARDS?!?!?!?!?!" soon after that I heard smashing and screaming. Garp had already dissapeared from his seat. Probably going up there to confront him, I wasted no time grabbing those damnable seastone cuffs and breaking them. Nothing a little bit of haki and strength couldn't break, the soldiers who were guarding the cell looked at me scared; threatening, "Don't move or I'll shoot!!!" I wasn't fazed of a threat from a man that was clearly shaking in his boots. I simply used a little bit of Conqurer's haki to knock the guards out and pried the cell open with brute strength.
Yawning as I went up, I couldn't hear anything the closer I got to the deck of the ship; and when I got up there I could see a tense standoff between Whitebeard and Garp. The soldiers who were with Garp had all their muzzles pointed at the crew that stood behind Whitebeard. Whitebeard suddenly widens his eyes before looking at me and smiling, "Gurarararara! Brat, are you done napping? You shouldn't be napping in the middle of a battle, you know!! Someone might kill you in your sleep!!" His voice boomed throughout the ship as the marines that had previously pointed their guns at the pirates turned around and aimed their weapons at me. Shrugging, I slowly walked up to Whitebeard's side and said, "We should...get going....see you around...Garp." Garp could only stand by and watch as we left the ship with gritted, I guess he didn't want to take both of us on at the same time with no powerful reinforcements like Sengoku.
When we were sailing once more, away from the marines, Whitebeard looked at me before asking me again, "Hey kid, become my son! And we will adventure the seas with a big family!!" 'Riding with Whitebeard? That doesn't sound too bad. Worst case scenario I'd have to save him during the Summit War, but other than that I could manage. He would be the strongest man in the world after all!' I gazed at whitebeard for a moment before promptly agreeing with his offer. I guess I'm a Whitebeard pirate now.
