Chapter 9 The Darkness and Light

"What should we do about them?"

"My lord, I think we should attack before they can counterattack us."

"You mean the common people."

"Yes, my lord."

"I don't know what you talking but nobody not going to listen to demons."

"My lord, I believe that the demon who fought off some of our men is different."

"How so Volder?"

"I mean I could feel a different presence in them."

"I see. So we need to call upon the sea god, Poseidon."

"I will call him at once."

Volder went to the end of the island and he calls upon the god and he had made his appearance welcoming and he had made a whirlpool.

"Who calls me?"

"It is us. Poseidon."

"You mortals."

"You bring us horses and the great blue sea and now we want to ask for your help."

"What makes you think that I will help you, mortals?"

"We have a devil here."

"What does that have to do with me?"

"You are our great savior."

"You do speak the truth but what do you have to offer me."

"You can have the most beautiful woman on the island."

Volder had shown him Skia.

"Yeah, she is beautiful."

"Yes my lord."

"I will do it. Just tell me when and I will bring the wrath of the seas to them."

"Yes my lord."

Volder smile and then he had gone back to Lord Nick and he was smiling too and then there were three days that pass and it was a silent night before the battle and there was no sound and the water flowing through on the island.

The strong man that ask what they should do had led the army behind him and his name was Will.

The other side of the army was being led by Lord Nick and he was hoping to make the first attack.

"Men, we are going to attack those who are against us and we will show them what will happen when they betray us and attack us. The people that bring them homes."

"You kick us out. For not paying your rent and you burn our families and hurt our friends and we tried of your mistreatment."

"They had been mind control by the evil devils."

"You can say what you want to say but we know who the true the devil is."

"Enough talk and attack!!"

They charge in and they were shooting arrows that could kill the people in the back and they cut off their escape route.

The people had spilled up and they went from behind them and they kill the archers and most of the archers were shooting the common people.

"Take that you devil lover."

The young man was scare of the people that we're fighting them and they see the young man that was shaking in fear.

They kill him and they jump down and they passed the front line of the noble people.

"They pass the front line!"

"No, let them come."

Lord Nick told his men to go and force them toward the common area.

"Hold your ground!" Will said

Another short but kinda muscular young man and his name were Rico and he was one of the archers for the common people and he was making sure that there is no archer firing from above.

"I need more arrows."

He looks and he got some from a falling comrade and he was making sure that there was no archer fire toward him while he getting the arrows that he needed and he had picked up five and he shot three noble soldiers and him back up.

"They forcing us back!"

"I see that."

Rico shot another arrow at the noble soldier that was about to shoot at one of the common people.

"That kid better be right about his plan or else we might not make it."

Two days ago, They were making up the plan and how they were going to win.

"Okay, we need to let them push you guys back and make them think that they got the upper hand and when they let their guard down then we will win this battle without them even seeing what hitting them."

"Not bad Limir, but we need to also make sure that they don't have anything upper their sleeves."

"You right and if the devil can enter into this world."

"Gods can too but we surrounded by the ocean."

"Who they going to make come then?"

"That part Is I don't know."

"Limir, I thought you all-knowing and all-seeing."

"Well, it still some blank in my knowledge base."

"Yeah, let just go with that."

"Then what about the gods of the seas," Devin said

"What?"

"That not a bad idea."

Limir was thinking about the main god of the seas and it was Poseidon and the Titan of the seas.

"It is Poseidon."

"Who?"

"Roki, he is a Greek god and not just any but one of the three that share the piece of the world with his brothers. Zeus and Hades."

"He got the ocean."

"Yes, Roki and also brought horses for the mortals but he wasn't what I call a good person."

"I see."

"Yes, the gods of mythology always tend to have a negative effect on mortals. If it doesn't benefit them then they won't care one bit for you."

"Why? They have so much power and they make people's live horrible if I have that much power then I will help people than hurting people."

"That is life. People in power get more power and the poor always be poor and get killed by those who could be their allies but it just not how the world works."

"I see."

"My suggestion is that you must fight him but when he is coming is a mystery."

"Okay, but how do I defeat an enemy that is stronger than me."

"You just have to make sure that you can move your mind more than your mouth."

"So just go with the flow huh?"

"Correct."

Roki wanted the common people to go in but it won't be easy and the woman must stay back and heal the man and the children will make the bow and arrows.

"We need to make sure that everybody can help out."

"Okay, but we might not have enough firepower," Limir said

"I know but we need to have fate in him or else."

"Or else we going to lose them."

Roki, Limir, and Devin had gotten the plan together and they will brief the people before they go in not knowing what they doing and Roki brief Will and he agree that it was a good plan but it was backlashed in the plan.

"We might have some people dying Roki and that something that will make the people turn against you than for you."

"I know but we all have to make sacrifices to bring peace and there no telling what going to happen but if you worried so much then you can make sure that nobody get kill with your leadership."

"Okay, I improve the plan and I led them and I will make sure that nobody gets kill in this attack."

"Will, just one step at a time."

Back to the present.

Will was push back and they were holding their ground and they were hiding behind the buildings and due to them knowing the common area very well. They could easily negative through the area.

"Dammit."

He was getting shot at by the guns and then they sent in the drones.

"We got drones!"

Rico had started two of them down but it soon shot at him and he had to back up.

"These things don't know how to back up."

Rico shot the main drone and he had soon realized that it was a cloak and then Rico was shot at but he soon dodge it and he shot again at the right one and the drone was trying to use the other and they follow at Rico.

"Dammit, these things don't know how to give up."

Rico jump through the window of one of the shops and the drones shot up the place and Rico was taking cover and he said, "the noble people always got all the good shit."

The common people have fewer advanced weapons but with Devin's help to craft weapons. They are more improve and they can be compared to the advanced weapons.

Rico's bow was more powerful than any other bow in the world and Will's sword was as powerful as any other sword in the world.

"I need to get more arrows."

"Did you forget that you can make arrows with your bow?"

"Oh, yeah I keep forgetting about that when I getting shot at."

"At least you not wrong about that."

Rico had just pulled his string and he had used it to shot two arrows at a time and he shot the archers above.

"Now, that what I talking about."

Will was holding his ground and the noble soldiers were trying to kill him.

"Kill their leader and the rest will flee."

Will didn't have to flee but he could easily reflect their arrows and he could easily slash through their armor.

"This sword is light and it very strong but I need to get out of the opening before they could get behind me."

Will went to an empty shop and he had made a way out of the opening and he was going through the backways and he was showing the younger soldiers to keep moving and do not run off and fought when it is not needed.

"You younger people go hid in the back and wait and then go under the sewers."

"Yes sir."

They went to the closet place and that led to the sewers.

"I better go meet up in the front line but I better cover myself."

Will notice that there was mud in the back ally and he had covered his whole body with the mud and he had gone to the front line.

"I got to stay back but if they don't hurry up and attack from behind then we want to be alive to support them."

Rico was worry but he stays back and he waited on the young soldiers to get to another side of the noble people.

"We need to figure something out before we get to the other side."

The young soldier that said that was Dale. Dale being sixteen and having to fight at his age could be crazy but Dale looks at it as having revenge on the noble people.

"We need to get to the other side and then to do the signal."

"Right, Malcolm."

Malcolm was one of the six groups of young soldiers that went to the other side.

"What we going to do?"

"Well, we figure that out when we get there."

"Okay."

The plan that they were given was to get behind them and attack them when they have them surrounded and turn the tide of the battle but they wanted to have a backup plan if it doesn't work.

"We need to figure out what we can do now."

"Yea, and what that?"

Dale wanted to give them hope and he told the others to believe in their strength because people are counted on them to come through and turn the tide of the battle and so they made it and Dale told Jack, Dylan, Vick to wait and go to the noble area. While Dale, Malcolm, and Evan do their things.

They each have bombs and they soon threw some of them and they blew up behind the noble people and the tide of the battle was turned.
