Why Choose?

Taking a ship to England wasn't bad at all. Then again, Hope and Newt rarely left the bedroom, or the bed for that matter.

By the time they had traveled through London and hitched a ride on the train, all seemed relatively back to normal. Hope was in high spirits from the blood content- and the sex, of course - leaving her back to being her playful personality.

As Newt left for the bathroom, Hope looked over at Albus, who seemed content to sit and watch the floor. She moved a little closer.

"You…look wrecked, and I mean that in the most affectionate way possible." She pursed her lips, watching him look over at her. "When was the last time you slept?"

Albus smiled crookedly, tilting his head to rest it against the compartment wall. "Does my lack of sleep trouble you?"

"I wouldn't say troubled," she shrugged, biting her lip, "more like- highly concerned."

He laughed now, the deep soothing laugh that always made her stomach flutter. Perhaps she shouldn't feel that way, but how could something that felt so good be so wrong?

It could be worse, couldn't it?

"Your mind never stops, does it?" Albus murmured, making her glance up to see he was watching her with interest.

Shrugging, she leaned against the seat and sighed softly. "Would you like to know what I'm thinking of?"

Hope could have sworn his eyes flitted to her lips momentarily, but it was so fast she couldn't be sure.

"What might that be?"

"I think you can guess…"

They shared a silence before he slowly shook his head. "It's complicated, Hope."

"Then uncomplicate it."

He chuckled again. "If only it were that easy."

"It can be," she smiled crookedly, "if it's something you want enough."

"You and Newt have a relationship, and I will not be the one to stand in the way of that, given how happy you make each other," he started, though it was clear he was running a bit out of steam with the conversation as if he were tired of fighting his argument, "the ship ride over was an obvious indicator of that…"

"So you did hear us." Hope couldn't help but grin, watching him with intrigue as a blush crept up his neck.

"I…" he trailed off, looking over at her. "The walls were very thin." He swallowed hard.

Hope bit her lip and leaned closer still. "The real question is," she eyed him till his blue gaze met hers, "did you like what you heard?"

Albus' jaw clenched just as Newt opened the sliding door with a smile. "I'm a bit hungry. Would you both like anything?"

Looking up, Hope smiled. "I love sandwiches," she stole a glance at Albus, who was watching her intently, something new glittering in his eyes, "with extra pickles."

Newt nodded and looked to Albus, who didn't tear his eyes away from Hope, and she started to get the feeling that maybe she'd bitten off more than she could chew.

"Same for me." He finally said, and Newt closed the door.

Hope waited, eyeing him carefully.

"I think you'll quickly find I'm not very tolerant of attitudes."

She opened her mouth to retort something quickly, but he cut her off.

"Inside my chambers, that is."

Mouth suddenly parching, she found it difficult to swallow just as a thrill rushed through her. Making her pussy quiver with anticipation.

Yup, she was right. It was confirmed.

Hope had most certainly bitten off more than she could chew, and she knew later she'd be choking on it.

The rest of the train ride was agitated, but Newt was utterly oblivious. He pointed out pictures to her from one of his many books, but she'd occasionally steal a glance at Albus, who was always either staring at her with a glint of mischief in his eyes or at Newt with a glimmer of adoration.

Needless to say, Hope was soaked by the time they reached Hogsmeade station, and walking off the train was horrible as her panties rubbed against her. It was almost like Albus knew because he smirked every time she pulled at her pants.

Arriving back at Hogwarts was sweeter than Hope imagined, like hugging a friend she'd not seen for a decade. Holiday break still had another few days, and she couldn't have been happier.

Hope needed to release the pent-up sexual frustration built over the train ride, and poor Newt had no idea how hard she was about to ride him.

She and Newt parted from Albus on the ground floor, but she couldn't take her eyes off his frame until he was firmly out of sight.

They entered Newt's room first to put away his belongings. "Would you like to stay here or-"

Hope's lips snatched his in a frenzy, her fingers gripping his shirt firmly and pulling him closer.

Panting against her mouth, his hands grazed her hips. "Are you alright?"

She nodded, threading her fingers into his hair and tugged harshly at the roots- earning a moan from him.

"I need relief." She panted.

Newt nodded and yanked her hips closer, letting his body writhe with hers, but something felt out of place.

She pulled away with a gasp and took a few steps back. Chest heaving- her eyes a wild gold. "I'm sorry, that's not right of me. I can't- I can't this out on you."

Newt's brows rose. "You can take it out on me…" he nodded quickly. "I have zero qualms with it."

Hope looked at him now and laughed, quickly covering her mouth. "That's not quite what I mean," she sighed, "but it is nice to know you like it rough."

A flush of scarlet graced his freckles as he slowly sat on the couch. "So, then what do you mean by that isn't what you mean?

Lowering herself to the other cushion of the couch, she brought her legs into herself and rested her chin on her knees. "It's kind of complicated…" She trailed off.

Newt bit his lip, nodding slowly. "Is it because you like Albus?" He asked, his voice as soft as his eyes.

Her heart stuttered, and she could only stare at him in bewilderment. Did he know? How could he know?!

"Hope?" His voice distracted her from her internal meltdown. "It's- it's okay."

Hope's lashes fluttered. First, he knew. Second, he says it's okay.

"Are we talking about the same thing here?" She asked, watching him for any sign of misunderstanding."

He nodded slowly. "I believe so. You care for each other deeply. I noticed a while ago," he admitted sheepishly, "but I didn't want to ask if it was only my misunderstanding."

It was as if it started raining chocolate frogs outside. A happy feeling that didn't make sense.

"Wait," she started, holding her hand up, "so you're telling me I want you. You want me. I want Albus. Albus wants me. Albus wants you. Do you want Albus?"

"Yes, that's what I'm saying." Then the realization clicked of what she'd just said and asked. His brows rose higher than before. "You just said…Albus wants me?"

Hope cringed, biting both her lips now. "Oh, yeah. Yes, I did say that, and it is absolutely true. Yup, can't take that back now." She ran her fingers through her hair. "So then, do you…feel for him as well?" She asked, moving closer.

His scorched skin said it all.

"Oh…my…"

"Hope," Newt sighed softly, taking her hands, "he can't know. I shouldn't even know about his interests, either. He's my friend, but he's also the headmaster now. If we were both teachers, it may be different, but…"

"But what?"

"Just please don't tell him, not about me," Newt swallowed hard and rubbed the back of her hand with his thumb, "it's not something I can face yet." He whispered.

Hope took a slow deep breath and nodded, taking his cheek in her hand and stroking his bottom lip. "I understand."

He glanced up at her now. "But you care for him, yeah?"

Cringing, Hope sighed and finally nodded. "I care for both of you."

They sat in a moment of silence before Newt asked. "Does he make you happy?"

She looked at him now, meeting his eyes, and slowly nodded. She wouldn't have expected what he said next in a thousand years.

Yet he said it.

"Then why choose?"
