No Demon

When they get to the Mayor's domain, they could see soldiers there hanging around and people coming in and out of a large building with two small black iron door at the front.

"Is that a storage room for goods." A menber of the demon Hunters wearing hat asked.

"Yes." The Mayor replied. They could see people taken loads into the building through the first door while some were bringing out loads through the second door and putting them on carriages. "Those goods will be delivered to planet Chagi tomorrow." He said.

After looking around, there were taken to the Mayor's office where paper work was being done they could see workers working away and as the Mayor entered they all stood up and greet him with respect, the Mayor entered an empty room and the demon hunters did the same following him behind, he arranged the chair and they all sat down.

"Where and when was this demon sighted." The man who held the two large axe asked, his name is Jeff.

"It was last sighted at the east side of the planet on a mountain." Dean the Mayor replied. "And that was where a group of adventurers went missing." He said.

"When was that." Jeff asked.

"Last week, the sightings of this demons and people missing started last week." Dean replied.

"When was the last time this demon was sighted." The man with hat asked, his name is Kelly.

"Yesterday but nobody had gone missing." Dean replied.

"Okay, we'll use this information for our investigation and we start investigating tonight, we'll not use more than 5 days here even if we were unable to see the demon but I assured you that it will be capture tonight." Jeff said, he is the group leader. "Make sure your men are on the look out and if there's any suspicious movement they're to report back to us immediately and give us the location of where they're, make sure you give your men a communicating crystal so we could communicate." He said.

"Okay, I'll make proper preparations for you, will you need our men to come with you?" The Mayor asked.

"No, just make sure they're on the lookout." Jeff Replied.

"Okay." The Mayor said as he left the room and asked his workers to arrange a room for them to rest. They entered the room sit around a circular table at the centre of the room, they didn't have any luggage with them because they didn't plan to spend up to five days here and even if they had brought luggage with them it will be kept in a magical storage, they all sat down and started planning. Jeff brought out a strange crystalize map from his clothe and drop it on the table for everybody to see, on the map there's a small red dot that shows their location.

"This is the map the Mayor gave me." Jeff said as they all navigate the map.

"The east site is the largest and it's where the demon was spotted." A man named Yuri said, he has an eyepatch covering his left eye and a large scar coming from his chin to his left eyes, looking at him you'll know that he had gone through alot, his head as big as that of a Japanese warrior.

"Yeah, I was thinking that we should separate ourselves to scale the mountain and search through the forest separately." A man sitting next to him said, his name is Chuks, he's the one who can use a teleporting magic.

"No Chuks, you know how our power works so we can't go separately, we just have to extend our time here so we could search everywhere completely." Jeff said.

"I agreed." The man on the last sit said, he hasn't spoken a word since they arrived, he has tattoo covering his two hands.

"Okay, the decision has been made so we scale the mountain and search through the forest together but we won't spend more than five days here so we must be fast at it." Jeff said.

"Agreed." They all said in unison. After some hours of rest and exploring the planet, the sun had set and it was getting darker, they gathered back in the room and prepare themselves.

"Okay let's go." Jeff said and they all move out of the room, they were provided five horses, one for each person, as they got to the street they could see that it had completely gone silent, everyone has gone to their room and only the guards were outside patrolling in groups, they started moving towards east, the map that was given to them was displaying the directions for them, the Mayor's house was located on west while the teleporter station was on south, they continue their journey and as they move they were getting closer. After an hour or so they got to a large mountain where they could see beast roaming around , they decided to ignored them as they notice they're all low level beast, ranged between level 2 to 4, as they got closer to the forest they stopped as they need to make a decision.

"Should we scale the mountain first or we search through the forest." Jeff asked.

"Let's enter the forest." Kelly replied and they all agreed, they tied the horses at the roadside some metres away from the entrance of the forest.

They started walking through the forest in search of the demon, they all have an enhancement crystal covering their two eyes to their ears, the man wearing eyepatch only use it to cover his ears, they were using sight enhancement and hearing enhancement, with that they could see and hear from some miles ahead and all they could see and hear were ruffling of beast throughout the forest, they move from one place to another and they still couldn't find any traces of demon, some beasts had even attack them but with one strike they were killed, a group of level 2 komodo like beast surrounded them, Jeff came forward and swung one of his axes down in a circular motion eliminating them all, it was as if the axe had multiplied attacking them all one by one, the beasts core were useless for them because they are at the low level so they just walk away, they haven't encounter a beast higher than the level of 6, although they've seen a level 6 beast in the forest but it hadn't attack them so they decided to let it be and they continue exploring the forest.

After 3 hours of searching through the forest without finding any valuable thing they stopped and took shelter under a large tree.

"Should we scale the mountain now or tomorrow." Jeff asked.

"I think tomorrow will be better." Chuks replied.

"No, let's do it today, who knows maybe the demon is currently on the mountain now and it will be here in the forest tomorrow." The tattoo man who didn't speaks much said.

"Yes I agreed with that." Kelly said.

"Okay let's move towards the mountain." Jeff said and they continue their journey back to the mountain when they got there, they looked up and drop a big sigh. Scaling the mountain was not really hard for them because they all have an enhancement crystal with them which will strengthen and enhance any of their body part but they all thought of something attacking them while scaling the mountain will be a difficult battle.

They got to the top of the first mountain and search through it but they couldn't find anything, continuing to the mountain they've reached the very last mountain where they could see hundreds or so bug beast nestled around a solid rock and not wanting to disturb them they move back and descend the mountain moving back to the Mayor's domain and when looking at the sky they could see that the night was coming to an end and the morning dew was already falling, they have spent a total of eight hours in search of the demon. The report was given back to the Mayor and they promised him they will continue searching for the next four days.

The sunset the next day and they continue their adventure searching for the demon, scaling the mountain first and searching the forest later and after searching for total of four days they decided to search through the whole planet on their fifth day and after searching from north to west and west to south they were all tired of it.

"I'm tired of all this, are you sure they aren't giving us false information." Yuri complained.

"No need to complain anymore, we are leaving tomorrow morning." Jeff replied. Getting back to the Mayor's domain, they reported back to him and made their decision of leaving saying they have other things to do, the Mayor was saddened but they told him that if any valid information was found he should contact them immediately.

"We'll make sure to be here immediately if there's any trouble." Jeff said as they got on carriage heading to the teleporter station and following behind them was the Mayor in his own carriage. As they got closer to the teleporter station they noticed that the street was silence, the street that's always full of people even in the night it's always lively but to see it this quiet in daylight was strange.

"Do you think something happen here." Chuks asked

"I was about to ask the same question." Jeff replied and the Mayor who was on a carriage behind them was also having the same thought.

'Did the demon appear here?' He thought.

"Let's get outside maybe we could find anything." Yuri said and as they all stood up the carriage had come to a sudden halt and the carriage was losing balance, it was falling.

"What's happening." Kelly asked as they noticed that the carriage was turning upside down, Chuks quickly teleport them outside and the carriage tumbled, the horse that was moving the carriage has lost its legs and the person who was riding it has also lost his head, looking around them they could see an horrific sight in their presence, the soldiers that was following them were all slaughtered, some losing their limbs, their heads and some having their body being turn into pieces, they looked ahead them and could see that the people guarding the teleporter were already dead, the Mayor ran out of his carriage with two guards by his side.

"What happened, they're all dead." The Mayor said as he was shaking. "It's the demon's work but you people said there's no demon." He said looking at the demon hunter members.
