Reunited

I had made it to the door and was reaching for the handle when I heard footsteps off to my right. Looking over, a man with red skin caught my glance and hurried his pace. I turned the knob when I felt a smack to my left shoulder and went bouncing down the hall. Where I once was, he now stood and slammed the door shut. Walking towards me he hissed, "Whatssssss a human doing back here.". His head leaning to the side and his eyes leaking black that coated his fourhead and the bridge of nose. I sat for a second calculating what I needed to do. As he approached me, a black hand wrapped around his neck and before he could react he was thrown down the opposite end of the hall. Where he once stood was the all to familiar serated rows of teeth curled up into a smile and the blackened tears flowing down from eyes of white. "Still weak." Horde huffed and turned down the hall to where the red demon was beginning to get back on his feet. Seli stepped to the side of him, stepping forward and offering her hand to help me up. "Thanks" I said as I used her arm to balance up onto my feet. "Still getting into trouble." Seli replied before turning back to guard me. Stepping through them, I said "Let me handle this." and Horde scoffed not enthused. I let my wings out and my four original marks. You could see the red man's expression become curious and terrified at the same time. He lunged towards me and I braced to defend myself when a slew of black overcame my vision. Once my brain caught up, a black wall of golden tipped feathers was standing before me and an outstretched arm had the red demon in the air. "How should I punish you?" Lucifer asked the red demon as he coughed not being able to breathe. The demon closed his eyes and Lucifer dropped him. Upon hitting the ground the demon began coughing, black liquid splattering where he landed. He looked up at Lucifer pleading, "I didn't know. Her soul reeks as human.". Lucifer tucked his wings in and leaned down to the demon. I looked back at Seli and Horde where they met my glances, excitement etched into their eyes. I turned back upon hearing Lucifer say, "No more than 5 minutes ago I promised her that no harm would come to her while she was here and here you are throwing her down a hallway.". Lucifer turned and extended a hand to me which I did not take. "I will ensure he receives appropriate punishments for what he did." he said bluntly, his eyes flashing that blood red again before turning to normal. "I didn't mean to offend. Please forgive me." the demon begged hitting the floor and cowering. "Beezlebub, you have no excuses. You should be thanking her. I'll only punish where she would have made sure you met the same fate as Belphegor." Lucifer replied leaning down to grab his arm. "Still the beast" I heard echo in my mind. Right before Lucifer grabbed him, I grabbed his wrist. Lucifer turned and anger oozed from him. His back tightened and he asked through gritted teeth, "What are you doing?". "He didn't know. I'm fine." I quickly replied. I could feel him trying to pull his arm out of my grip but it stayed. A look of bewilderment came over him as he looked at his arm and then to me. He began to speak "Mia," "Don't." I cut him off and his eyes softened for a split second before returning to anger. "I'm fine." I said and released my hold on his wrist. He swiftly turned walking back towards his now golden door calling out, "You better thank the succubus Beezlebub." as he walked through the frame, he slammed the door an audible crash shaking through the hallway. The red demon looked up, a look of terror on his face as I walked towards him. I extended my wings leaning down and whispered to him, "I eat your kind. If you want to keep your life, stay out of my way." and stood up walking over him to get to the voids door. Seli and Horde followed me, Horde making his feelings known as he spit another ball of black landing beside the demon's hand. As I pulled the door open, the demon whispered "Thank you for sparing me." not removing himself from the floor. I motioned Seli and Horde through before me and replied, "Touch any of us, including the angel, and I will end you." I said before walking through and slamming the door behind me. All four faces stared back at us as Seli had a gentle smile on her face. "What just happened?" Mika'il questioned. Seli replied gently, "Oh just Mia, making Beezlebub cower like the dog he is.". "What?!" B called out and I needed to sit down. I began to shake and my adrenaline had worn off. "I need to sit down." I said before flopping to the floor, pulling my wings in as I leaned against the black wall. A light sweat erupted over my skin and I caught Lilith making her way to me. She sat down beside me with a solemn look in her eyes. I caught her eyes, "What is it now?", I asked. "I have been instructed to train you in what I do down here." Lillith replied softly. "OK and?" I asked not really knowing where she was going with it. "We will start training tomorrow. It will only be one on one for a few hours and then you will go with Sathanas for defensive training. You will get some down time in the evenings and if you need to feed, let one of us know so that we can bring it to you." she responded. "Lucifer said I could come and go as I please so I will be going to feed when and where I please. I only eat red strings." I said crossing my arms. I had calmed down and stood up again when Mika'il stepped forward putting his hand on my shoulder and speaking, "Mia, that isn't smart. Heaven will see this as a threat or as you've aligned yourself with Hell.". "Wasn't that one jerk going to hand me over to him anyway?" "That's not the point Mia. They will see you as a threat." Mika'il responded to me. I slumped back down on the floor and watched for what seemed like hours as our group went over scenarios possible with this. Lamia, Horde, and Mika'il were all dead set on joining my defensive training while B and Seli wanted to shadow Lillith's work. I think B was more fangirling over the fact that he finally met Lillith and wanted to stay by her side as much as possible. I grew tired and was almost asleep when a light knock came from the door. Upon it opening, that English accent trickled softly though the air, "It's evening Mia. Please join me." Lucifer said putting his arm out to me as an invitation. I rose without his help and walked to the door where looks of uneasiness sat on mostly every ones face except Hoards. He was smiling. A chill ran up my spine and I shivered walking out the door bypassing Lucifer's arm and making my way down the hallway to the door. I could hear him scoff in defeat as I walked past him. He sped up seeing me reach for the door and opened it before I had a chance to. "After you." He seductively spoke. I passed through the door where the smell of lavender assaulted my senses. I looked at him in confusion and a knowing smile formed on his face. "You only thought I asked Mia about your powers?" he spoke but I was taken back to the night I died and when my beatings started. I felt myself staring through him and not at him as the scenes danced in my head. My side warmed and I knew that I had began to light up. Lucifer approached me but all I could seem to see was Mike's face coming towards me. He stretched out his hand to touch me and I backed away. "No. Don't come closer." I cried out putting my hand up as to stop him. He wasn't phased and still approached me slowly. His finger grazed my hand and a blinding light erupted between us throwing me onto the wall above bed and him into the door. I fell on all fours on the mattress and dust littered the bed. I curled into a ball and laid there tears threatening to fall. My light dimmed and I realized that I hadn't grieved my death, my pain, or my agony of those years trapped with him. Coughing came from where he fell and I peeked out of the side of my eye catching him standing up. It caught me off guard that he didn't begin a full on assault on me. As he brushed the dust off his chest, he whispered as if talking to himself, "Lavender was a bad idea.". I looked up at him as he walked over and sat on the edge of the bed. "I didn't expect that you would have that reaction. I'm sorry Mia. I can be very idiotic sometimes." He said as if scolding himself. He got up as I didn't say anything and went out the door. "Please come with me. There is another bathroom in Lillith's room and you might find it more relaxing there." He articulated carefully. Seeing that I didn't move, he came over and scooped me off the bed. I didn't fight him as I hid my face knowing that tears had began streaming uncontrollably.
