Chapter 8:A Price To Pay

A massive bloodlust has been released by someone, the can feel a chill on their spine although they're at tree house.

"HAHAHAHA found you so today is my luuuuucky day" Zed go out to check what's going on and his eye frowned after seeing a figure that appeared in his sight.

Even the voice inside Ray's head felt the bloodlust and immediately warn Ray to stay away from that bloodlust.

"Kid did you feel it?" "yeah and it's a massive one" "Then you shou-" before the voice finished talking an attack has been launched at the tree house.

Fortunately in a nicked time they manage to landed safely on the ground.

"So you're the zombie that attack my subordinates how dare you" Zed and Ryo eye widened and looked at Ray with a furious expression.

"Ray what did you do you better tell us what's going on here" "I'm sorry Zed but I also had no idea of this situation."

The air are getting tensed "So you don't remember Fradz come here" another figure appeared from the shadow.

Ray's eye widened he can't believed that the figure appeared in front of him are the thugs that he knocked out few weeks ago.

"So did you remember boy?" "It's not my fault by the way, your subordinates bothered my kin so I have to protect her."

The figure suddenly laugh, "have your mother taught you to mind your own business?" that sentence changed Ray's expression from a normal looking zombie to a furious beast.

"Don't you dare talk about my mother" with his cold tone Ryo and Zed also shocked they never seen Ray become so furious.

"HAHAHA or what? Tell your moth-" without finishing his sentence the figure suddenly flying in the sky "Not bad for a zom-"

Ray once again strike the figure's back and send him to the ground the impact of that crash was big and even shake the tree around them.

"Don't mention my mother" he saying staring down his opponent, Fradz also shocked by that blow how can a zombie become this strong.

The figure slowly standing and spitting a blood "How fierce well first I'm sorry to mention your mother, but you should end my life when you had the chance, time for payback kid."

He then opened up his cloak and reveal his identity but this time only Zed and Ryo are shocked because they are messing with a vampire kin.

His body are full of scar, "Since I haven't introduce myself sorry for that my name is Hartz I'm a gang leader of the vampire kin."

Zed seems know Hartz, "I know that guy Ray we shouldn't mess with him" but it seems Ray ignored him completely. Ryo stop every attempt that Zed try to stop Ray.

With a single whistle from Hartz his subordinates emerge from the shadow. "It won't be an easy fight kid, since your friends is here it will be nice to wipeout all witnesses HAHAHA."

"Guys! Get ready to fight this will be a bloody fight make sure you give your best." Both of them can only nod.

They can't refuse Ray because of his vibe has changed a vibe that a king possessed. "Kid don't let rage consume you my other side will emerge if you fall for it."

But Ray also ignored him completely, 'huh guess I'll just wait for the right chance to take over his body' the voice thought.

Silent suddenly break after Ray and Hartz are going on full brawl, Hartz body are more muscular than Ray so it will be advantage for him since Ray's body is just a normal build zombie.

Hartz subordinates also charged towards Ryo and Zed. "How many enemy can you take on Ryo?" "I can take all of them by myself if you want."

"Hahaha stop messing around and let's finish this quick and help Ray" and so they go head on with Hartz subordinates.

But the most intensed battle are of course Ray with Hartz, their vibe are completely different from Ryo and Zed. They have been striking and dodging and none of them have seen any opening.

'This kid his vibe has changed since I mention his mother then should I break him mentally HAHAHA' Hartz thought.

He started to provoked Ray by mentioning about his mother over and over again, Ray's rage getting stronger and stronger. But as the rage getting stronger, his mind going blank and started to showing some opening to Hartz.

'An opening!' without any second to waste Hartz clenched his fist and strike Ray's guts. Ray already prepared to counter that strike with with his uppercuts towards Hartz chin.

They both struggling to stand on their feet, Hartz strike sure deal a lot of damage since it's targeting Ray's guts. Ray's uppercut may seems deal less damage but its effectiveness are the one that make his counter sting.

Ryo and Zed seems out of breath after beating Hartz subordinates, but it's strange because Ryo detected one more enemy but it seems the enemy is hiding somewhere. "There's one enemy left" "Ah come on."

Seeing Zed complaining like that Ryo suggest that they should rest first before they help Ray. It's already late night and the battle still occurred between Ray and Hartz.

The battle started on the evening, it's an unexpected event for them because they just want to spent their time on the holiday but it suddenly changed.

The flow of the battle suddenly changed because Hartz are equipping his weapon blood trident a red coloured trident and has known as one of the mythical weapon.

But Ray rage has prevent him from thinking rationally, he just rushed without knowing anything about the blood trident. Ryo and Zed finally reached Ray but their eye widened after seeing the blood trident.

"Ray don't fight recklessly, that trident is dangerous!" Zed shouted but it seems Ray rage also preventing him from listening to other. "Argh what should we do Ryo!?" "hey calm down we can't just barge in and strike Hartz blindly."

Zed finally calm, it seems Hartz also notice their presence and he smirked for a second. He's thinking about hurting Ray's friend too. "don't let your guard down old man" with a cold voice, Ray landed a devastating kick to Hartz face.

But it seems as Hartz planned he will lure Ray's friends by lower his guard down, Ryo and Zed saw the chance and immediately jump into the battleground.

But they didn't expect, this was a trap set by Hartz just to lure them out, "Gotcha" he then swing his trident at full force. But Ray also prepared for this he jump towards his friends and push them away.

A blood spurted from Ray's body "uwargh" once the blood trident injured your body it can't stop bleeding until someone with a high level of healing, healed you.

"Ray!!" Ryo shouted as loud as possible, but the most shocked one is Zed he should expect that was a trap but he didn't. "Oi Zed get a grip!" Zed still can't believe his friend is injured because of him.

"it's also my fault but we should help Ray right get a grip will you?" meanwhile Ray is now struggling on his feet his wound won't stop bleeding he have no idea how to deal with Hartz anymore.

'This kid won't last long with this wound I should take over his body' the voice thoughts, he will take control of Ray's body once again to end this battle.

"I'm sorry kid" "No wait!" his consciousness fade, Hartz didn't know what's happening with Ray but he also don't want this battle to last longer and started to charge towards Ray.

"This is the end!" he thrust his trident towards Ray's body but Ray easily dodge that with a simple side step. "Ah it's nice to be young again, so are you ready?" Hartz confused "Huh ready for what?" "Ready to lose."

The voice inside Ray's head already take control over Ray's body, without any second to waste he dash with the full speed towards Hartz and started to strike also in a full speed.

'Wait this kid suddenly gotten faster I can't dodge his strike' Hartz know he can't deal with Ray full speed right now.

"This is the end hardened fist hiyaaa!" that powerful punch explode Hartz head 'Sorry kid but I won't let my other side control you.'

A few day has passed Ray still unconscious, because he lost so many blood, thankfully the academy has a high level healer that can heal the blood trident curse.

The blood trident has been retrieve by the vampire kin and as for Hartz death the investigator still searching for his cause of death.

Five days has already passed finally Ray awake, his memory still blury he can't remember what happened to him but then the voice inside his head.
