280. End, But Dreams Keep Going

At night after his daughter was born, Jon has a private talk with Jane when everyone is sleeping. He tells her the situation and his worry before asking her if she has a way to contact God.

"Yes, I can contact them. Actually, it seems they have predicted this, so they gave me a way to call them once. They told me you will ask me to contact them, so it seems this is actually their plan."

"If it's their good plan, then I won't need to worry. But if it's a malicious plan or an accident, then they need to prepare themselves because I will do anything to make sure they regret doing it."

"I hope it's a good thing. I want my niece to be healthy and live a good life."

Jane then takes a red paper sheet from her inventory and gives it to Jon.

"They said you need to use Kurama's chakra on this paper to call them."

Jon does as she says and pours Kurama's chakra into the red paper sheet. Then suddenly, the room glows brightly and both of them appear in a flower garden. There is a big tree in the middle and a pair of middle aged man & woman are sitting under the tree.

"You finally come here. Long time no see, boy. It seems you also live a good life as a human now, girl."

"It's all because you have given me a human body and mind, milord."

"Ah, it was my wife who did that, not me. I already used my power to reincarnate that guy, so I wasn't allowed to give life to another. So my wife gave that life to you."

"Ah, so that's how it was. Thank you so much, Madam Goddess."

"Don't mind it, child. I was just granting that boy's wish because he has fulfilled his promise. So, I guess you came here for your daughter, right, Little Jon?"

"So it was really your doing. What did you do to my daughter?"

"Don't worry, it's not a harmful thing, so no need to be that angry. It's actually our last gift for you because you've helped us to get the Nine-Tailed Fox devil fruit that saved our daughter."

"The strange chakra flow in your daughter's eyes is because she will inherit your sharingan."

"WHAT?! I thought my chakra power would be unique to me and no one else will be able to use the chakra like me, not to mention sharingan."

"It will be like that, for those who aren't your descendants. Besides, your daughter's sharingan is different from yours and so are all your future descendants' sharingans. This power doesn't come from your world, so we need to make changes because only a unique individual like you that was created by our power can use this power as it's supposed to be. That means other than you, only Jane can use chakra power, but her body wasn't made to handle it."

"Wait! So that means my daughter's sharingan is not Uchiha's sharingan?"

"It is based on that, but it's not the true Uchiha's sharingan like yours. It will never be Mangekyo Sharingan no matter what they do, so there won't be another susanoo in your world other than yours. No one will also be able to use ninjutsu, genjutsu, or fuinjutsu like you."

"We don't want to break that world's power law, so we make your chakra power to be unique to you and it can't be passed down. Even if someone makes clones of you, those clones won't have your chakra and sharingan at all because they don't have your soul. Your power is bound to your soul."

"So why give my daughter a sharingan if it can't be used like Uchiha's sharingan?"

"I never told you it can't be used like real sharingan at all. It still has the ability of a normal sharingan, which is enhancing one's eyesight to a great degree and allows the users to see chakra. This ability is very useful in your world and it will be much more powerful once they can use Observation Haki."

Certainly just sharingan's basic abilities are already very useful. It can even be said that just basic sharingan is powerful enough to be a devil fruit ability.

"So you say it will be passed down to my descendants? But my genetics will get thinner by each generation, so how long will it last? Also, I'm worried that my descendants will be targeted because of their sharingan."

"Hmm, even we don't know how long it will last because it works like a normal genetic trait. But if your future descendant makes a clan and marries each other, then the genetics will stay strong. But it will still last for at least 20 generations even if your descendants keep marrying people out of your lineage. That's just how strong your genetics are."

"Also, your strong body will be passed down as well. It's just a normal thing in your world because as you know, strong people usually have strong children as well. So the only thing we intervene is passing down your sharingan."

Jon is glad that his children will have a strong ability like sharingan. But he is also worried that some assholes will try to harm them to get that sharingan.

"It seems I need to do my best to protect my kids and make sure they become strong enough to protect themselves. Well, I never intended to let my kids grow as weak people anyway."

For now, Jon is relieved that there's nothing wrong with his daughter. He & Jane want to leave, but then the Gods suddenly give Jane the same type of sharingan as Jon's daughter.

"It will be easier for your descendant to keep their genetics now because Jane's descendants will also have sharingan. I'm sure you want to avoid something like incest to happen among your descendants. It will be easier to avoid that if Jane's descendants also have that. Now your clan members can start marrying each other in maybe the 4th to 5th generation without it being incest because their lineage will be quite far apart already."

It seems the Gods have thought about this problem already. People will question why Jane suddenly also has sharingan. But they can just say that she is a late-bloomer. Besides, her eyesight is always strong, that's why she can become a good sniper although not at Usopp's level.

They leave the God's garden with relieved hearts. Then the next day, Jon & Vivi finally announce their daughter's name.

"Van D. Joy, that will be the name of our daughter because she brings us joy by coming to our lives."

2 years later, Jane also gets married. She marries an Emperor of The Sea, Trafalgar Law, and they have a daughter after a year. They named him Trafalgar D. Water Lami. Law named her after his deceased little sister.

Jon and Vivi also got a son in the same year that they named Van D. Bond because he is the proof of their strong bond as a family. They have another son after 5 more years that they named Van D. Spark because he brings more sparks to their lives.

The kids grow up nicely and Jon makes sure to turn them into strong people. He trains them differently because they have different talents as well. Jon doesn't force them to be ninjas because he wants them to follow their own paths.

But no matter what path they choose, they need to be strong and free. So when they turn 17 years old, Jon sends them to explore the world with whatever method they want. They can be pirates, Marines, bounty hunters, businessmen, anything.

He wants them to experience life and see the world. He doesn't want them to be frogs in the well that only see Alabasta as their world. They are free to return or continue to live outside of Alabasta in the future.

By the time his youngest child starts his journey, the Sand Hidden Village has become a very powerful force. It rivals even Cipher Pol as an intelligence unit and maybe even better at it. Their power rivals a whole Emperor crew, which makes Alabasta's power & scale rival the Marines.

They have men in almost every civilization in the world by now. They have men even in the World Government, Marines, Emperor crews, or even Sky islands. Their men have never been detected while they have detected spies from other organizations in their hidden village including those from Cipher Pol.

That's just how great the ninjas in Sand Hidden Village are. Jon keeps pursuing his dream that seems to never end because he keeps getting new knowledge every day and there seems to be no end to it.

It doesn't really matter to him because he knows what he enjoys is the pursuit of knowledge itself. Besides, his life can be said to be full of happiness now. He has a beautiful and loving wife, cute children, and a lot of good friends. Jon really lives his life to the fullest.
