The Real Life Catgirl Is A Beauty!

'Ugh... It seems that I'm unable to understand the writing of this world. Well, since I'm most likely going to be here for a while, I should find some time to learn it. It looks incredibly similar to Japanese, but there are many different variations that resemble some other Earth languages.'

If there was one thing Linkin did not like, it was being unable to understand something that was well within his grasp.

He entered into the inn and what came into sight was a very welcoming and warm lobby. Linkin was a bit surprised when he felt how warm it was inside of the building. There was no fire present and the temperature outside was on the lower end of the spectrum.

Given the level of civilization, he had not expected something along the lines of a heater to had been invented yet.

"Welcome to the Drifting Clouds Inn! My name is Lal'Kita, how can I be of service for you today?" A young woman's voice sounded.

Linkin turned to look towards the source of that charming and welcoming voice. He was surprised when he saw the young woman who greeted him with a lovely blossoming smile.

'It's a real life catgirl!'

Linkin was shocked to find that the young woman who welcomed him was not a human, but rather a catgirl. Her cat ears wiggled in an adorable way on top of her head, her tail swayed happily back and forth behind her back.

Lal'Kita had long and gorgeous flowing purple hair that reached down to the lower end of her back. The sclera inside of her eyes was yellow instead of white, and her pupils were shaped like that of a cat's.

Her appearance would put some of those popular idols and models back on Earth to shame. Lal'Kita was wearing something similar to a maid uniform and had curves in all the right places. She was a woman that men would fight for the chance of spending just one night with.

'What a beauty!'

Linkin had seen and been with his fair share of beauties, but Lal'Kita was unique in her own way. Plus, he had not expected to see a woman of such high beauty standards in a place that resembled the medieval times on Earth.

Lal'Kita blinked a few times and waved her hand in front of Linkin's face to get his attention. When she saw that he wasn't responding, she leaned in close to him to make sure that he was alright.

Linkin soon snapped out of it, and before he knew it, Lal'Kita's face was only centimeters away from his face as he said, "Um... Yes?"

"Dear customer, how may I be of service?" Lal'Kita inquired.

'So close!'

"I'd like one room and something to eat..." Linkin said.

"The room will not be a problem; however, the kitchen is closed at this time, dear customer." Lal'Kita explained.

Linkin stomach growled so loud that it almost sounded like the low roar of a beast. It would not be a lie to say that he was running strictly on pure willpower at this point. Linkin helplessly rubbed the back of his head and gave an awkward chuckle.

Lal'Kita cheeks blushed with a light shade of pink when she heard Linkin's stomach growl. She then returned to her previous distance from Linkin now that she verified that there was nothing wrong and he was most likely simply hungry.

"I... I will see if I can get you some food. The cost will be 5 chisai's per night. That includes the cost of your room and three meals a day." Lal'Kita said.

'Chisai's? Is that the name of this world's official currency?'

Linkin took out five of the coins he won from those guards earlier and held them towards Lal'Kita.

"Will this be enough?" Linkin asked.

Lal'Kita stared at the coins in Linkin's hands. She usually did not receive such a large downpayment from customers. They would always pay by the day unless it was a merchant group in town on business.

"You plan to stay for ten days, dear customer?" Lal'Kita asked for confirmation.

'Eh? So these coins are worth 10 chisai's each. Well, I don't want to stay in this town for too long, however, I do need to gather some information before I leave. As long as I lay low, I shouldn't run into any trouble.'

"Yes, ten days." Linkin replied.

Lal'Kita accepted the coins and held up a bronze colored card made out of some type of metallic material.

"You've given me 5 daisai's for a ten night stay. The number of days is registered onto this magic card. It will allow you access to your room, which will be 10-A. After your time runs out, the magic card will no longer allow you entry into the room. However, if you wish to extend your stay, you may do so by simply adding the necessary funds to the magic card." Lal'Kita explained.

Lal'Kita demonstrated by dropping the five daisai's into the magic card. The coins immediately vanished, however, the once blank card now had the number "10" written at the center.

'Magic!'

Linkin was shocked; this world actually had magic?! The same magic that on Earth was considered to just be some type of fantasy? It seemed that this world was not exactly like medieval Earth as Linkin first thought, but rather a world believed to exist only in fantasies!
