Afterschool Activities

Entering into my room I dropped my bag on bed then went straight into the closet to find the clothes I got the day i went shopping with the girls, I haven't gotten the time to arrange them so they were still in the shopping bag which made them a lot easy to find I brought them out lying them on the bed.

I went back to the closet and random picked out more clothes from the hanger, while dropping them on the bed my phone beeped

"Time to plan for the night"

I said expecting a video call from the girls but saw I had a message from Vera

Vera: Text 1 for I am been held hostage

Text 2 for I just committed murder

Text 3 for I might have run over a guy

I am going to keep typing until I hear from you

Me: 4

Vera: You are fine

Good for you because I was about to go all dark on you

Me: Yes I am fine but barely

I have a lot to tell you

Vera: Okay

Should we move to a call?

Me: oh

I am waiting for a call from the girls

It should come in any second from now I am so sorry

Besides I think it would be better in real life so we can just hold it off till tomorrow

Vera: No problem

Tomorrow is okay it is just nice to know you are still alive and breathing

Me: Thank you so much you are the best

Their call just came in

Pray for me

I said to her before picking the call

Me: Hey guys

Lia: Hey Sam

Lia said popping on my screen

Vina: Hey!!

Vina said popping on the screen

Val: Finally

Val said joining the call last

Val: Where did you put your phone before you almost gave Vina a heart attack

Val: Hey!!!!!

Lia: She kept angrily calling us

I had to leave to the sitting because all that screaming is not good for my granny

Vina: I am not all that bad

Val: Yeah keep telling yourself that

Me: Can we start already guys

I am really tired

I just got in

Lia: You just got in from school?

Lia asked looking very surprised

Me: Yes......

I just did…

I said almost as a whisper quickly realizing that I had no reasonable excuse for been in school that late

I cannot tell that I am Sandros personal trainer

It would not make any sense to them

It barely makes sense to me and I know the whole story

Val: How are just getting home by this time

School closes by 4

I should know my dad is the principal

Val said laughing at her own joke

Vina: Good one

Since when have you been keeping that one?

Last term

Val: You are just a sad person...…

Lia: I totally agree with you with on that but can we please go back to Sam?

Val: Sure fine

Me: It is really not a big deal........

I have always wanted to join an after school activity and I just decided to go for it

I stuttered saying the first believe lie that came to my mind

I hated the fact that I was really getting good at lie at this point but at the same time badly praying that they will believe it

Val: That is really nice but you could have just told us

We have an after school guru with us

Vina: Guys!!!!!!!!!

Lia: Val is right

Vina is in like a bunch of after school activities

Val: More like 11 out of 16

Me: Wow!!!

I said completely surprised and also very relieved that no one seems to suspect anything

Val: She is also the second youngest assistant student president

Me: Go Girl

That is really huge

Lia: Yeah

We don't know why she is a bit secretive about it

Vina: I am too cool to be a nerd

I do not want to spoil my reputation with people finding out I am in that many club

Me: No one that knows you will think that

Trust me

But why so many after school activities?

Vina: I need to fill my school script with enough point to even be considered for Harvard

Me: But isnt a bit too early for that I mean we still have time to...…..

Lia: Vina has had her mind set on Harvard since the 5th grade

That is the only school she plans on applying too

Me: That is the craziest thing I have ever heard

You have balls I tell you

So no backup school like at all

Vina: Yep

Me: I dont mean to be negative or anything but is that not a little risky

We have other prestigious ivy school you can apply to as backup just incase

Vina: There are and they are really good but I want to focus on just one

If I am going to go to college and study some soul crushing course I want to do it in Harvard and if I dont enter I will take a year break and go hiking all over Korea

I have always wanted to that

Me: Hold on for just a minute

So you mean to tell me that you intend to only apply to only Harvard and if you don't enter you will take a year break

Vina: Yes

Sightseeing in the beautiful mountains and landscape of Korea

Me: How am I the only one confused here?

I asked wondering how Val and Lia seem fine with her crazy future plan

Val: Oh no

We are all aware of how insane her plan is

Weve just had more time to process it all

Give or take 9-12 month

Me: I don't have a year to process it so I will just say it incase no one I said it out loud

Vina you are crazy!!!!

I exclaimed still in shock

Vina: Thanks B

You should have my parents reaction when I told

Oh my God

It was priceless

For a whole month my mom kept inviting a paid therapist to our house for dinner

She said in laughter

Lia: David was the only one that seem to take the news well

Just give it time

You will be fine

Me: I am fine

I know i was a bit surprised at first but I refreshing to be different been normal is extremely overrated and has a good friend I support you

Be crazy

Be spontaneous

Val: Where have you been all my life?

Val asked acting all dramatic

Me: In califonia

but how to juggle all the afterschool activities and still have a life outside school?

Vina: Anything is possible with a perfectly well organized planner/calendar

Lia: Vina is the only person we know that handle so many school work and still have time to make sure we all have a social life and also find time to make our life a living hell

We don't know how she does it

But she does

Val: Yeah

She is kinds like our own control freak....

Vina: Enough about me already

Sam you still haven't told us the one you joined?

Vina asked bringing it back to my little lie and I froze

I had no way of knowing which club Vina is in and the one she isn't it

11 out of 16 is a pretty big odd

It was beginning to look like my lie was about to catch up with me

Me: So...…

About that.......

I looked around but I haven't yet decided which one to join

My choices are down to three but until then I am not saying anything

I don't want anybody to try to influence my decision

When I say anyone I mean you Vina

I said staring at her

Vina: Fine

You will not hear a word from me

If someone sees how dramatic you are being they would think you need to make a big life decision but whatever

Val: Guys!!!!!!

We haven't even discussed the main reason for this call

I need to be downstairs very soon dinner is almost ready, I still need to kiss up to my dad till tomorrow just to be on the safe side

Can we please start.....

Val cried out pointing to at the clock in her room

Vina: Sure

So Sam what do you have in mind for tomorrow night?
