Shirohi opened the door with a small frown on his face, Tsuande tilted her head to look at him "What's wrong?" Shirohi shook his head, "It seems we will have company for dinner tonight, I'll help cook extra servings," Tsunade gave a soft smile as she nodded "Okay, how about you start cleaning the meat… How many guests will we have?"
"Two," Shirohi pulled a few slabs of meat from a scroll, "I'll clean these then clean up the room a bit, I used jutsu in front of them but I believe Shizune covered for me." Tsunade didn't look up from the pan "Alright, make sure there aren't any scrolls in sight. It may not seem like it but they are fairly expensive."
"I know," setting the clean meat on a cutting board he went off and began picking up the various kunai, shuriken and sebon laying around. Although he'd hate to admit it Shirohi is far from organized, despite knowing exactly where everything is to the eyes of others it's seems like pure chaos… Keeping a few kunai on his belt he hid all the others, just as he finished a knock sounded at the door before it opened. The detection seal he placed near the door picked up three people so he wasn't surprised, Tsuande quickly removed the apron she was wearing and went to greet the guests, dragging Shirohi with her as she whispered "You should have cleaned up, look how dirty you are," turning towards the guests she gained a welcoming smile as she gestured towards the table "Welcome, I'm Tsubaki and it seems you've already meet my two children, This cold faced child is Shirohi don't let his expression fool you he's excited to have company over he doesn't make many friends," she sent a playful gaze towards Shirohi as she continued "as for my daughter I expect she had already introduced herself?"
Askel's father was stuck with his mouth slightly agape, the woman in front of him was beyond beautiful. Tsunade giggled as she heard Shirohi grinding his teeth rousing the man from his own little world, "Ah, I'm Isoza and this is my boy Askel, it's a pleasure to meet you Miss Tsubaki and you as well Shirohi, I heard from Askel that you practice the art of Shinobi?"
Shirohi nodded "Yes, mother was lucky enough to find a few Jutsu Scrolls in the market and gifted them to me for my birthday." Askel beamed "Woah really?! Can I see?" Shirohi was about to refuse when Tsuande nudged him, he grunted "I'll see if I can find them, it's been awhile since I've looked at it… I wouldn't be surprised if it got lost during our move."
Askel's excitement fell as he let out a quiet "Oh," Shizune glared at Shirohi and he internally raged 'What am I supposed to do?! Show him my hidden stash?!' Isoza spoke "Don't worry about it, he's just a little excited it's his dream to become a Shinobi," Shirohi silently groaned as he went towards his bed lifting up the mattress revealed a small scroll of paper with jutsu he was attempting to modify, the majority are useless and the one's that aren't either are too difficult to attempt or just don't work. "Here," Askel took the small scroll with excitement he nearly ripped it opened but Isoza placed his hand on his shoulder "Where's my manners, here take this it isn't much but it's the best bread in the Village ."
He took the bag off his back and handed it to Tsunade who took it with a smile "Oh my, best bread in the village you say?" Gesturing towards the table she spoke "Take a seat, I'll bring the food out in a moment," Shizune hurriedly ran to her side "I'll help!" Shirohi watched as Askel's eyes followed Shizune disappear into the kitchen, Isoza was watching Tsunade but his eyes weren't like the others he wasn't looking at her like she was an object he wanted to possess…
Soon plates of food found it's way to the table, Askel eyed the food with large eyes. Isoza was surprised to see such a large amount of food on the table, he probably couldn't afford a meal like this if he worked himself to death. Tsunade gave an awkward chuckle "It isn't much so you'll have to forgive me," Isoza waved his hands "No we don't mind, this is actually more than I expected," Tsunade's expression softened "Then it seems I worried for nothing."
The meal was fairly quiet, Shizune sat next to Askel, while Shirohi sat in between Isoza and Tsunade. Picking up a thinly sliced piece of meat with his chopsticks he laid it on his plate, grabbing a slice of bread he dipped it into the grease from the beef.
Askel mimicked his movements, folding the piece of bread around the meat the duo took a bite Askel felt a wave of warmth lass over him that he didn't get when eating the rice and scrap pieces of meat they eat at home. It was indescribable but it was a pleasant feeling. He had to stop himself from eating like a savage and mimicking Shirohi made that easy, Isoza saw that 'Tsubaki', Shizune, and Shirohi's table manners weren't something a civilian would have but kept it to himself, if they were some sort of nobility he didn't want to ruin the meal by bringing it up.
Tsunade watched as Askel and Shizune talked between themselves, her eyes betraying a softness as she realized how much Shizune had grown. She's even found a boy she liked, sadly they wouldn't be staying in the village for long… Shirohi wouldn't allow it, while she loves him and all he does for them his paranoia is on a whole nother level.
"Tsubaki, if you don't mind me asking what do you do for a living," Tsunade wiped her mouth with a clean cloth, "I actually don't work, Shirohi usually does some work for merchants while Shizune sells the produce she grows." Isoza was surprised, his eyes turned to Shirohi "How old are you?"
"Almost my 7th name day," Isoza's mouth went wide "and you're already earning enough to afford a room in this Inn let alone this food?!"
Shirohi snapped "Aren't you overstepping yourself here? It'd be a shame if you tripped…" Shizune and Tsuande sent him a glare, Shizune going far enough to kick his shin, Tsunade spoke "Sorry about him, he is quite protective of us since his father passed… he feels the need to take everything upon himself…"
At the mention of that man, Shirohi shot to his feet his palms slamming against the table hard enough to send cracks through a small section "That Bastard isn't my father!" The venom in his voice was clear to everyone at the table and they could only watch as he stormed out of the room. Tsunade watched him with sad eyes while Isoza felt horrible, he ruined a good meal with his curiosity, "Sorry, it seems I overstepped…"
Tsunade shook her head "No, it's fine he will calm down eventually…" her eyes landed on her plate hiding the tears pooling in her eyes, she only wanted to have a peaceful dinner with her family but she went and ruined it without thinking. Shizune noticing her grabbed her hand "Mom, it's okay it's not your fault we both know how Shirohi is,"
