By the time she finished, she had already broken down in tears. I let her be so that she could gather herself.

When she did, I asked her,

"So now, you're looking for information on who killed her. "

She shook her head positive.

"I need to find out who killed my sister. That way, my parents can stop hating me and they'll call off the marriage. Well, that's not going to happen since Arnold hates me now. I hate myself for what happened to my sister. If I hadn't taken her out of the palace..... " She didn't complete the statement as she broke down in tears again.

I didn't know what to do. I wanted to comfort her but I didn't know if she would be comfortable with it. I summoned up courage and put my hand around her shoulder. She put her head on my shoulder and kept sobbing.

After a few moments , she lifted her head up and wiped her face with a tissue.

"Sorry about that." She said, referring to the big puddle of tears on my shirt .

"You should go to bed. I've kept you up for too long" She said, as she stood up from the edge of the bed and went to lie down properly.

I stood up and walked to the door. I wouldn't mind helping her. It's obvious she's remorseful towards what happened. Besides, the idiots that thought it wise to kidnap and kill a little child need to be dealt with.

I held the door handle and then I turned back to her. Making a decision, I said,

"I'll help you. I'll help you bring those bastards down they deserve to pay for what they did."

She turned around and gave me a small smile. I walked out the room and went back to bed.

Very early the next morning, my parents called me to their room.

"Good morning." I said and bowed my head.

"Good morning." My Father replied.

My mother just acted like she didn't hear me and continued brushing her hair.

"Well, we decided that you need to get acquainted with your future husband. So we've decided that you are going over to Glacia to spend time with your husband to be. Get to know him, spend time with him. " My father said.

"But Father....I can't...." I tried to tell my father that I couldn't go there.

"Its been agreed already. They're expecting you. You don't expect me to cancel the plans now. You leave tomorrow. Get ready."

Tears gathered in my eyes, but I just walked out of their room. I walked back to my room and fell on my bed. I kept crying, really hating my parents for treating me this way.

I heard a knock on my door and I ignored it. Then the door opened. I turned around and saw Adrian walking towards me..

"Whats wrong, my princess?"

"My parents have sent me to Glacia to spend time with Arthur."

He furrowed his brows and looked away .

"I don't want to marry him. I don't want to go."I said to Adrian like he could help the situation.

"I'll be there with you, My Princess, don't worry. Besides, it's not exactly the worst thing that could happen at this point." He said.

I looked up at him and he continued,

"Remember Arnold said the man who took Anita was from Glacia. We could use this as an opportunity to go sourcing for information."

What he said finally began to make sense.

"But how would we get out of the palace?"

He smirked and stepped closer to me. He came down to eye level with me since he was taller than me. His eyes went from my eyes and ran down my face. They rested on my lips and he licked his lips.

They came back to my eyes.

"I want to believe your sneaking skills are still in check."

My parents weren't there to bid me farewell the next morning. My father had let me bring Adrian along. So that made me happy.

In the carriage, Adrian sat across me and he was very quiet. It wasn't weird for him to be quiet. It was just weird for him to be quiet and not have complained about the bumpy road, as the carriage had basically been bouncing all throughout the trip.

"What's wrong, Adrian?" I said

He looked up at me and sighed.

"Its nothing." He said shortly.

It was obvious something was on his mind. He wore a scowl and had his eyes trained on a particular spot. He was breathing heavily and his fists were balled up.

"You know you can talk to me right?" I said softly while placing my hand on his balled up fists and looking at his face.

The moment my hands touched his, his face softened and he released his fists. He placed one of his hands on mine and gave a little smile.

"It's nothing. It's just, I was thinking about how unfair it was that you didn't have a day in your life anymore just because if what happened. I mean, I get it! You made a mistake. Why do they keep treating you like you weren't their child too?"

I sighed and took my hand back and placed them on my laps. I started down at them.

"I've accepted my fate. It's the price I have to pay for bring careless. I'm used to being treated this way to be honest."

It was like that triggered something in him. He immediately placed his hand in mine and he moved closer.

"Look at me." I did. "No one should be treated that way. Especially not you. You should be allowed to marry who you want to. And I'm very sure that guy would treasure and love you. Not that ass of a prince."

At this point, we were sitting so close and he was staring deeply into my eyes. Our faces were getting really close. Suddenly, the carriage stopped.

"Everyone, get down!" We heard a voice say.
