Time flew so fast that Derion was already five years old. He grew up to be a smart child and easily understood his surroundings. Seeing Derion's growth, Ivy was deeply moved. She raised Derion with her own hands and the people around her who were always there for her.
But one attitude that still looked like he didn't care about Derion was Theodoric. He did interact with his stepson. But he taught him things about war and something about weapons of war.
Ivy, with her motherly attitude, must have been upset when she found out Theodoric often taught him about war. Yet it was clear that there had never been a war. To her, Theodoric was simply setting up something useless.
But Ivy never argued or even banned Theodoric when he was with Derion. She even continued to let it go even though her heart was annoyed to see her son had understood the world of war.
