After Cipher pulled up his screen DEM began explaining each aspect, "You notice at the top the screen shows your name then your age. Then your role is displayed this will rarely change if it does or is about to I will notify you. The following on the list are the most important to pay attention to. At this time you ranked D class across all categories, it should be noted that this is just slightly higher then what the average human in your previous world start at if they were to come to The Land of Dream and Legends. Also while we are discussing it many of the citizens and creatures that inhabit The Land of Dreams and Legends reference it by using the name "LODAL". Any questions so far?"
Cipher opened his mouth right away, "I understand the classifications, but what are the percentages that show up next to them?" DEM began clapping proudly due to the fact Cipher had been paying attention and observing, "Very good question, those percentages help you understand how close or far away you are from the next classification. The weapons slot will fill in once we have made our way to the Knights of Light Church and picked it or them up. The next one can be a little harder to understand. Learned magic will list all the magic you have learned, and provide percentages on how much you comprehend them. At this time your comprehension of APM is at 10% this will affect the range and strength of your magic. The last item located on the display screen is Dream Credits, you can use your credit to make purchases for any items you can think of. The amount or cost of the item you ask for will depend on its use, abilities, strength, and rarity. If you need something just ask me and I will access the Dream shop for you".
At this point Cipher felt he starting to get a good grasp of everything, it wasn't like the system was all that hard to use and it seemed like an old RPG he played back on earth making it pretty relatable. Thinking about RPG's Cipher remembered that the Voice spoke about a map and directions to the town of Sol. "DEM, I was told that you were supposed to have the coordinates to the town or Sol what are they, also how do I put up the map?".
DEM causing the system screen to disappear and a map to come into view went on to explain, "Yes I have the coordinates for SOL, it is located 2 miles South East of this location you should be able to make it to the Night of Lights Church before the afternoon if you leave soon. The map can be viewed in your head like it is now whenever you want, another feature it has allows me to map a route for you that will show in your view as a red line.
Besides thinking that the map sounded like an updated version of Waze from Earth, Cipher was pretty interested in it. Thinking about it now though he wondered if it would act like some other RPG maps where enemies would show as red dots. DEM responding to his thoughts answered, "The answer to that question is both yes and no. Yes, it can show your enemies as red dots, but this will not be the case for everything only true nightmares or extremely malevolent creatures".
"A prime example is the Shimmer Bear which you promptly named 'Beaker', I would have informed you sooner of the danger had it shown on the screen since it is not a true nightmare or extremely malevolent it did not show up. So on our way to Sol make sure you keep an eye out for any other creatures. My range of view is directly related to yours at this time, so unless you see it I won't be able to inform you if it is dangerous or not. Any other question?".
Cipher did have one more question but feeling a little mischievous commented back, "You can read mind do I really need to ask?" Giving a sigh that only Cipher could hear DEM responded, "Think of me as your sub-conscience or a second inner voice. I will help you in any way helping you progress in your objective. My main objective is to help you acclimate to the system, my growth is based on two factors. The first factor being you, the higher you raise your intelligence the wider the range of information I will be able to access. The second factor is the system itself, while many features available to you right now there are others that can still be unlocked once you earn more Dream Credits".
Excited and ready to go Cipher kick up landing on his feet, "Time to go, which direction DEM?" In response, a red line showed up with a small arrow point in the direction he was to follow. Cipher laughed, "So DEM are you going to tell me when to turn right and left?" Exasperated by the comment DEM responded in turn, "I think you are grown enough to tell the difference between your two hands if you need though I can search the system and give your verbal directions to some warm milk."
With that Cipher started his journey to Sol making sure to follow the path laid out before him. It was nice being able to take in the view of the surrounding forests, DEM had informed him that to his north was the 'The Metalic Forest' and to the south was the 'Laughing Forest' both having a charm and beauty that Cipher had never seen before.
