Cipher trying his best to survive just kept climbing, even though he knew he was getting high up he felt if he could just high enough the Beaker may give up. That sadly was not the case as Cipher climb so did the Beaker. Cipher now much closer to the Beaker than he was before could get a good view of the horrible creature. Its face was completely distorted like a piece of gum that got stuck in a blender, and its fur was black matted down with what could be assumed blood. It was safe to assume reasoning with it was out of the question, Cipher realized this must have been one of the "nightmares" the voice spoke about. Getting closer to the top Cipher took a look down to see where the Beaker was, luckily it looked like it slipped "I guess having a body that is 6 feet tall and 4 feet wide doesn't facilitate the best climbing".
Cipher knew at this point he had to kill or be killed the question was how was he supposed to kill the Beaker before it got ahold of him. While Cipher knew he was immortal that didn't mean he couldn't become this creature's food, and while he trusted the voice he didn't want to test out his immortality just yet. What made the situation worse was the only skill Cipher knew was how to clap his hands. Cipher contemplated his options then as if a light bulb had finally been turned on he asked, "As my partner, you're supposed to help me right? So what the ability I used before?".
Ciphers partner gave a light chuckle, "What you used before was called [Amplification Magic], by embuing your thoughts and will into your action you were able to amplify the sound you made. This magic has a multitude of different uses, but for this situation, I will explain how you can use it as a weapon. [Amplification Magic] also known as "APM" can be used to amplify any sound you make, yells, snaps, claps, and whistles are just a few methods utilized". This provides Cipher with all the information he needed and gave him an idea that might help him survive.
Cipher looked at the tree searching for a somewhat thin branch to break off, luckily two branches above him a thin branch that fit his criteria could be seen. Reaching up he attempted snapping it off only to remember the tree was made of metal. Looking down he could see the Beaker getting closer to him, its mouth now open and tongue dangling as if waiting for him to fall in. Cipher looked up and grabbed the branch, this time using his body weight to move the branch back and forth. Finally, after repeating the back and forth action, he was able to snap the branch off, now he needed to brace himself for what he was about to do next.
Cipher wrapping his arm around one branch while clutching the broken branch in the other, making sure both legs were securely fastened around the trunk of the tree. He lifted the stick high thinking about amplifying the sound he was about to produce. He just needed to wait until the Beaker was about to grab hold of the next branch. Cipher looked down towards the Beaker seeing drool slowly dripped off its tongue while it stared up at him with awaiting eyes. Then the moment he had waited for came, as the Beakers claw let go of one branch to grasp another, Cipher brought the branch down slamming it into the tree truck below him. The sound he produced was ear-piercing causing every muscle in his body to tense up and while Cipher had prepared for this outcome the Beaker had not.
The Beaker being completely unprepared to also tense up due to the sound, causing it to lose balance mid-climb. Cipher exhaled watching as the Beaker who had one paw reaching and the other loosened in anticipation of grabbing the next branch slowly fell backward as if it was hit with a taser. As it fell Cipher could see the Beakers eyes wide, that was until it began slamming into the branches below. You could hear each time the Beaker hit a branch its body would make an aweful cracking sound. That all ended as soon as the Beaker came in contact with a lower branch that had smaller ones sticking out of it. Cipher closed his eyes to avoid watching the impact. When he opened them he could see the Beaker impaled and dangling half off the branch, branches through its head, left paw, and upper torso.
Cipher had to fight the urge to throw up less he loses his balance and suffer that same fate. Taking a couple of deep breathes to calm himself, Cipher slowly made his way down the tree being careful not to miss a single branch. Finally placing both feet on the ground he looked up, he hadn't realized it before be he climb at least 30 feet. Looking around he made his way toward the open grass field before promptly falling backward into the grass, still clutching the metal branch he broke off the tree.
Speaking as if someone was right next to him Cipher asked, "Now that I am not in a kill or be killed situation, what should I call you?" Awaiting this moment, a voice promptly answers, "You may call me 'DEM' I am your partner designed to help you utilize and understand the system created for you. There are many functions of the system that we need to discuss and go over, the most important being the [System Display] and [Dream Credits]. It will be easier to understand if you are able to follow along while I explain, all I need you to do is think about the [System Display] and it will show up in your view". Cipher listening to DEM followed the directions given to him and thought [System Display], which caused a screen to come into view.
