As I made my way downstairs, I could hear my mom talking with Charles Xavier about me.
"So, what do you want with Jean? She's not in trouble, is she?" Elaine Grey asked.
"Oh no, Mrs. Grey, she's not in trouble. I would just like for her to join my school, is all," Charles said, just as I entered the living room.
"Oh, Jean, this is Charles Xavier. He runs a school for special kids," my mom introduced.
"Oh, cool, I guess," I said with a shrug.
I noticed that the professor looked like Patrick Stewart, so the new timeline movies probably won't play out in this world. There is a chance that the very first three movies might play out in a way, but I'll worry about that later.
I also noticed something floating above his head.
Professor X Lvl 47
"Well, I'll let you two discuss the school and everything. I'll be in the kitchen if you need anything," Elaine said, getting up out of her chair.
Once my mom left for the kitchen, I sat down in the chair that she vacated and stared at the professor and tried to use Telepathy to read his mind, but it seemed like I hit a wall or I didn't use my power right.
I quickly brought up my stat page to see if my mp dropped or anything.

Huh, so I did use up a bit of mp while using Telepathy, but why didn't it work.
"It's very rude, you know, to read my thoughts," Charles Xavier said to me with an intrigued look in his eyes. "You see Jean, I'm a mutant just like you."
Recalling what the original Jean did in the opening of The Last Stand, I decided to use that scene as inspiration to impress Xavier.
"Really? I doubt that," I said as I used the rest of my mp into Telekinesis, and made all the cars in the neighborhood float, along with Xavier's car that I just noticed had Wolverine in the driver seat, before they all settled down once my mana was caput.
"You have great power, my dear, but seem to lack some control," Charles said, impressed by my display of power.
"So, this school would be able to help me?" I asked him.
"That and more, my child," he said.
"Ok, fine, I'll go to your school," I said, hoping this would count as me taking his offer for the quest. "When should my mom and I check out the school?"
[Ping!]
"You both can come by tomorrow, I should have everything set up for you by then," Charles said.
"Ok. Mom!! We're done," I called out to my mom.
"Oh, that's was quick, so what did you decide dear?" Elaine asked as she came out of the kitchen.
"I decided I'm going to Mr. Xavier's school," I said.
"That's wonderful, dear," Elaine said, smiling.
"Well, I must be off," Xavier said as he rolled his wheelchair to the door.
"Oh, let me get the door for you," mom said, going to the door and opening it up for the professor.
The professor thanked my mother and rolled out.

After the professor left, I went to my room and checked the system.
[Quest Completed!]

So it seems my hp and mp go up by 50 each time I level up along with gaining 5 stat points, too. Hmm, I wonder if I should distribute them now or wait until I have more.
"Hey, system, is there a shop that I could look through?" I asked one of the questions I've been curious about for a while.
[The shop function isn't available until the host has reached level 10]
"Ok, that's a bummer," I said.
[Host has not checked their inventory. There is a gift from Death and Eternity]
"Ok, uhh. Inventory," I said.

I'm ending it here until I can think what needs to be in the gift.
