THE ADAPTATION

After the scientist who came in spoke something, he thought about something standing in front of the cages of mice and selected one cage and took out a mouse from it, and placed it on the work table. He then went to the box that was brought in previously and opened it with a lot of struggle and took out a small bottle case, it contained at least 9 bottles. he then took a small injector-like object and sucked the contents of one bottle and got it ready.

when the scientist was busy making the contents ready, all the remaining subjects were very anxious and scared. Shank shouted,

"Calm!the!fuck down!!".

Everyone calmed down and was looking at the mouse on the table with pity. The scientist finished the preparations and then took the mouse into his left hand while he was holding the injector in his right hand. Shank was surprised and said,

"that can't be....".

Karmal wondered what it was and continued to look at the injector, he felt like something was strange about the injector. it felt like it was attracting him and he was in a trance for a second but then he heard a faint calling in Shank's voice saying

"Ka..Karm...Karmal!!".

Karmal came back to his senses because of Shank's shouting and answered him

"Yes..yes! Senior!".

Shank was suspicious for a second but ignored it and said:

"Hey junior that injector.., it seems like that contains something from a latent beast or a dominant beast because I was able to sense some magical force from it".

Karmal was shocked because he felt that he sensed the force too just now but thought it was not a good idea to ask it out now because Shank may or may not be a trustworthy one so he held back from speaking and started watching the mouse.

The scientist injected the contents into the mouse in one single push and placed it back into the cage immediately closed the door took some steps back and continued to watch it with anticipation. A few moments later, there was no reaction in the mouse so the scientist carefully approached the cage and when he was about to open the cage the mouse suddenly started to squeal hard and was trying to escape from the cage. the scientist was startled and almost got a heart attack and he fell back by a few feet with fear. After a series of squealing and biting the cage, the mouse died in just a few seconds. the lab was filled with silence for a few minutes. the scientist then stood up and walked towards the workbench and slammed his hands on the bench. tears rolled down his cheeks and fell on the bench then put on a mask took the dead body of the mouse went into another room and came back after a few minutes. He came back and stood near the workbench and thought for some time and finally moved and came near the mouse cage unit. he then moved his hand in a random way while he had his eyes closed. Karmal understood that the mouse that is present in the cage that his finger points to last is going to be the next one to die. he wished all the gods that were present in that world to not be the next one.

He felt anxious and disappointed when the finger of the scientist pointed at Karmal's cage. He sighed and thought that

"God has his own thoughts, huh?. well, seems like this is the end of my life in this world".

The scientist then took his cage out of the rack and placed his cage on the bench. Shank was shocked to see that the selected one was Karmal. He shouted and moved in the cage vigorously to get the scientist's attention but failed in vain. The scientist then took the injector and made the same mix as the last one then took Karmal into his hand and looked at it. Unlike the mice or any other animals he worked with before, he felt a very different vibe from him. Although the mouse in his hand was in a very depressed state and the eyes seemed full of vigor and spirit, the mouse had a very healthy body. He injected the contents into him just like the previous one but this time he didn't move back. he didn't know why he hadn't moved back but he looked at the mouse with a serious look and a look that was very different from the previous one.

Karmal's body felt a bit cold at first when the contents were injected but it was just for a moment, unlike the last one this time he had the reaction immediately when the cold feeling was gone. He felt excruciating pain from the place where the injector was injected and the pain started to spread across the body and seemed like it is entering every cell of his body. he gave the exact same reaction as the previous one. The scientist felt a bit of sadness more than the feeling he usually gets when an animal or beast dies. He thought that this one was also going to die.

[But unlike what he expected something extraordinary was going to happen, the content that is causing Karmal to feel hell when he is alive was actually being absorbed into his every cell and his strong will had started taking effect and made him gain his first ability as a DOMINANT BEAST. He has the ability to absorb the foreign substances entering his and gain either resistance to it if it is a hazardous or toxic material and if it is something that is from other beasts then his DNA will be formatted and a new gene will be added to his DNA which will be a characteristic of the beast that the content came from.]

The pain he had earlier started to dissipate and he felt something new in his body, he was able to sense the impurities in the air and he was also able to exhale all the unnecessary gases and contents in his body through the respiratory tract, but of course, it is only gaseous materials. He felt his body was light and also he could sense objects and all the things in a particular area around him just by vibrations from them. His pain is now completely gone but when he tried to move he felt dizzy and lost consciousness.
