Ch-003 The Fall Of A Planet (2)

Feeling a cooling sensation coming from my body, I opened my eyes to see an expanse of white. I seemed to be in an empty room of white marble with no entry or exit.

I then heard grumbling noises from beside me and saw four other people and realized that they were not locals and looked to be from different ethnicities altogether, one of them was a grown man in a suit who looked to be 30, another was a young man of my age, and a middle man wearing what looked to be a prison jumpsuit which made me mark him as a threat, and the only woman there was a fair-skinned woman who looked to be from a rich background; they were slowly getting up with a disoriented look on their faces and realized that they were not in a place they knew. Due to being a frequent reader of light novels, while I was not frightened, I was still quite surprised to face a situation like this myself.

Then one of the people, a young man around my age, started shouting.

"Hey, what is going on over here? Let us out!!"

I was surprised that I could understand what he was saying as his lips were not syncing with his words; thinking that it should be one of the effects of this place, I then heard a mechanical voice in my head.

[Welcome onboard the Orbis Terrae, a land of opportunities which gives you the chance to become gods]

This voice made all the others frantically look around them.

"Who's there? Where are you speaking from? Come out now!"

[No need to panic; I am your personal system located in your mind. To summon your interface, call out systema in your mind]

Hearing so, I called out the name, after which a holographic window popped up in front of my eyes.

As I tried to understand what these stats meant, One of the people in a suit started to get hysterical.

"HAHAHAHA, this must be a prank, right? Alright, whoever it is, you fooled me, now let me go home; I need to get back in time to have dinner with my wife and my newborn son."

[ I cannot perform such an action, all sentient beings left after the initial energy eruption have been teleported to here.]

I then asked a question.

"What do you mean by initial energy eruption? and what has happened to our planet?"

[The energy eruption is a planet's response when facing a threat to its core, as it can't resist the Orbis Terrae. It has started to self-destruct from its core and will no longer exist in the future.]

Images and video footage then started to enter our minds, showing lava flowing everywhere, cities and skyscrapers slowly submerged under tsunamis, lightning striking the oceans, hurricanes, and tornadoes destroying mountains. The world looked to be in mayhem with no hope of survival.

After seeing this scene, the woman and the man in a suit broke down,

"This, This can't be, my house, my dresses, all of them are gone!"

"My wife, my child!!"

Suddenly the man's lifeless eyes got some energy in them,

"You said all those who are alive have been teleported to this place, so can you send me to my wife and my child."

[I cannot do that]

"WHYYY CANT YOU DOO THATT, I WANT TO GO THERE NOWW."

[I cannot do that]

"Alright, alright, I am sorry for having an outburst. Can you at least tell if they are alive?"

[I cannot do that]

This seemed to be the final blow for him as he could no longer stand and sat down, dispirited holding his head in hand.

and then, as expected, the convict could no longer stop himself and started laughing

"HAHAHAHAHA!This is the best; there are no rules, no laws. ALL of us can have so much fun."

He then looked at the woman and licked his lips.

The woman looked at him with disgust and said

"Stay away, you dirty dog, don't you dare lay your hands on me. Do you know who I am? I am a celebrity; I have 138 million followers."

"Ohh feisty! What a fine specimen; I will have fun making you into my pet."

As he started walking towards the woman, the other young man went and blocked his way.

"Hey, kid! Move out of the way! If you also want a taste of her, wait until I'm done."

"You shouldn't do this; shouldn't you have any humanity? In times of crisis, we all should stick together, and you, sir, get up, don't lose hope your wife and child can still be alive; you must stand up."

He then turned to look at me.

"Why are you looking so calm and indifferent to everything? Aren't you a man? You should defend the wo-."

The burly man suddenly punched the young man in the stomach

"Watched too many movies, huh. Wanting to play the hero, let me show you a basic rule of the world Might makes right."

He started to pummel him with kicks and fists, which resulted in heavy bruising and him starting to sob.

"Stop, please. I am sorry I won't do it again; I just wanted to look cool; please stop hitting me. Do whatever you want with her; please stop."

"Ehh, what happened to your chivalry? Your manliness is it gone in just a few seconds, you kid over there you want some of this?"

I lifted my hands to indicate I wasn't going to do anything as it was something which I had already expected to happen and was not going to gain any benefit even if I helped.

"Yeahh, that's what I thought, don't worry, kid, you seem to have some sense you can work under me from now, anyway that other dude already looks gone in his head."

He then started to walk over to the girl as she started to back up against the wall.'

"Hey hey, you can't be serious, right, don't come near me STOPP!"

As he approached and forcefully held her hand to remove her clothes, another message popped up on the screen.

I saw that two other people hadn't noticed the message yet and opened the inventory.

As I opened it, I saw that there was nothing in it other than a low durability knife; I thought about the main possibilities and why the knife was given and got only one main logical conclusion.

My thoughts were interrupted by the shrill shouting and sobbing of the woman.

"SAVE ME, PLEASE, I WILL DO ANYTHING, PLEASE DON'T HURT ME. I WILL LISTEN TO WHATEVER YOU WANT ME TO DO"

"Oh, no one going to hurt instead, I will make you feel as if you are in heaven."

Confirming my thoughts, I then got up and started approaching the woman.

"Why are you coming here, kid?"

I lifted my hands and smiled,

"I got bored just sitting, so I thought to have some fun myself."

"HAHA, COME; both of us can enjoy her at the same time."

As I looked at the woman, she started to look at me with a pleading look in her eyes.

"Please don't! Save Me!"

I turned back to him and looked at the one behind him, still groaning in pain.

"I'll just go and beat up that guy some more I hate people acting like heroes."

"Sure, why not."

And just as I went behind him, I summoned my knife and stabbed it at the back of his neck, twisting the knife as I pulled it out, causing the blood to spurt on my face. He then started to squeal in pain and fell on his knee as I took the knife and stabbed through his heart, surprised at the sharpness and ease of doing so. The man collapsed on the ground with a shocked look on his face as the blood spilled on the woman's dress.

"Die, you horny piece of shit."

The woman then started screaming.

"You-You-You killed him. You are a Murderer!!"

"You're noisy."

I then turned towards her and stabbed her through her throat

"There, now it's better."

And then I turned my head to look at the man sprawling on the floor as he tried to back up.

"Now there, brother calms down, don't kill me; what benefit would you get from it anyway. How about I became your lackey? You can even treat me like your dog."

"Oh, it looks like our hero has pretty good boot-licking skills, eh! Alright, I will give you a chance; come here and lick my shoes."

As the young man gritted his teeth and crawled towards Karna, he thought

"This bastard thinks he is so clever; even I have seen the knife in the inventory once I get close to him, I will just stab him."

and just as he came close to Karna, a knife was implanted in his head.

"You think I care about having a lackey in this situation? What more can you be other dead weight, and if what i think is true, you must die."

Then I looked over to the final person who seemed to have got some sense back after all this.

"Young man, please don't kill me won't your parents be mad for doing such sins? You wouldn't want to kill me, would you? After all, I have a wife and a child to support."

" Parents? HAHAHA, I don't have any, and do you think these people who killed don't have families of their own? Now die, old man; at least you can be together with your family in the afterlife."

"Please NOOOOO-"

Ahh, I stood up and leaned back looking at the four of them, feeling a set of restrictions and shackles breaking I felt a sense of peace and freedom coming from the depths of my soul and now it should be about time.
