Volume eighty Four

Nord is at least three months away from Daragain with a carriage. Seeing how we are going to be on foot, it's going to be even longer. I doubt that will be able to get a carriage from someone in Daragain. I picked up Marcus from the ground, his body his heavier for some reason. I haven't seen him eat at all. So how can he gain any weight, regardless of that. We don't have any food, nor do we have the time to hunt for some. " Hey Autumn I know this is asking for a lot, I can carry Marcus to Nord. I'm the mean time can you hunt down some food!.". Autumn patted me on the back, once she left Marcus side his weight doubled. It's like carrying two sacks of potatoes. The path to Nord is a lost one for me, it's been a decade since I've visited Nord. Back then they were just like Daragain. Filled with corruption. I've saved some people over there as well, I wonder if those people are still alive. I don't know for sure if Autumn will be safe on her own hunting for food. I'm not saying that she is capable of doing so. My problem is that she is use to doing it for herself, now she has to double to the amount of food. That can take a toll on someone who hasn't done it before. While walking down the path leading to Nord, we took one look at Daragain. Hearing the screams of the townspeople, those screams will probably be the last things I hear from Daragain. Autumn looked at me, " are you sure you want to do this?!, we can always turn back around. Forget about what we saw!". I walked past her, I can't believe that's she thinks that we can go back to normal. " Autumn we can't go back, even if we go back then we are died for sure. We are doing this for Adamsin that is all!". The path is covered with rocks, each rock I stepped on throw off my balance. All most causing me to drop Marcus. I'm hopeful that he awakes before we arrive at Nord, how should I explain to him what type of town is Nord. It's nothing like Daragain well at least that's I what I think it is. It's been a long time since my last visit. That's the least of my worries, we are still very close to Daragain so the guards coming be on our tails. It would be the best time for them to attack us seeing how I'm by myself for right now. The sun slowly set under the mountainside, that mountainside should be where Nord is. Well I hope that is where it's at. Honestly I have no clue where Nord is now after the destruction of Adamsin. He changed everything about the world, how the world tilts, shape of mountains, the air density. All cause of the death do his family, I knew that something bad would happen loving someone from another kingdom. Hours passed the sun fades away, the night appeared. Night time istb the best for us right now. The beast of this world are more active during the night so the possibility of us being attacked is very high. I see nothing but trees in front of us. I can't head into the woods without knowing where Autumn is. She left hours ago to hunt food for us, the sound of my stomach made me paranoid. Marcus must be starving he hasn't had nothing to eat every since I met him. That was weeks ago, a boy his size must need a lot of food just to keep him alive. While making the journey to Nord I haven't heard a sound out of Marcus. Nothing at all, whatever happened to him must have really drained him. There was a small house at the edge of the woods. I don't trust people that live in the woods, but I don't have a lot of options out here. I walked over to the house. The house was made out of bricks and wood, I placed Marcus on the right side of the house. There was a pile of wood, for their fireplace. So I decided that Marcus would enjoy taking a nap on top of the stack of wood. I knocked on the door, hearing a man and a woman inside laughing. Footsteps we're coming closer to the door. The footsteps had some depth to them, who ever was approaching the door had some weight on them. The door swing opened stood before me was a man about the same size as Autumn. Well not exactly the same size this man was more chubbier than her, " What can I do for you Jim?!". How can this person I haven't seen before know who I am?!, " um sir I was wondering if you have any place for us to stay the night. I can pay you if you want money!.". I reached into my pockets playing around with the change that was inside of my pockets. The man tapped me on the shoulder, " Jim we would love you to stay with us.". I'm glad that I've met so nice people, I thanked the man. I went to the right side to the house, struggling to pick Marcus up. The man saw me struggling from the inside for the house, we came around the corner and helped me. We placed Marcus on their couch, he was still sound asleep. The woman placed a blanket over his body to keep him warm, these people are a elderly couple. I guess in their sixty, " it's must be hard on a boy his age, so how along has he been fighting for?!". I don't understand what she was talking about, she pushed him over onto his stomach. Pulled his shirt up, seeing the scars of his past. She pulled him back the shirt still lifted up, we were all stunned when we say a Brand on his chest. The Brand was the Number Five!.
