Chapter 6

"my lady if you need anything just ring the bell and I'll come.

"Liam said bowing at me "thank you. " I said as he straightened up and walked away

I opened the door and got to see a 5-star hotel room and it's almost as good as a Coco Chanel suite maybe even better; a queen-size bed sits atop of a little platform at the left side of the room which was mostly composed of black covers, two intricately designed dressers at the sides of it and two tasteful lamps illuminate the room. Two doors can be found in the room probably leading to a bathroom and the closet, and next to it was a little table below a window that had black curtains— to be honest, the room's theme is mostly black except for the wall which was white making the black pop out more— lastly two glass doors lead to the balcony which had the perfect view of the forest,

I sighed dragging my pitiful self to the bathroom to freshen up and to change clothes. After a few minutes, I wore a black hoodie, skinny jeans, and black converse.

looking at my reflection in the mirror and grimaced; my eyes had dark circles under them: the result of nights of not sleeping well, the wound on my neck from Zero's knife has thankfully, stopped bleeding but I still covered it with bandages from the first aid box just to make sure it doesn't get infected. I plop down in the bed and stared at the ceiling

'I wonder what's happening in the underground society right now' I thought 'probably going haywire, there's a new hunt after all'

chuckling to myself while rolling to the side, face-palming the bed 'if only I had my laptop, I could easily log into my account but sad to say I left it back at the Crimson Red HQ and now it's probably destroyed' I sighed 'all my life worth's research, all hard work wasted' I snuggled into the comforter feeling cozy for once, maybe I'll just stay here for a while; it isn't that bad. I closed my eyes just a little bit and for the first time this week, I fell asleep.

I was woken up by someone knocking on the door

"Yes?" I grunted while rolling to my side

"I'm sorry to intrude miss but you are requested by the madam to join her for dinner." A voice said which probably belonged to Liam

"Do I have to?" I groaned

"Yes ma'am, it's kind of mandatory to say at least." He stated,

I rolled my eyes as I sat up

"Give me five minutes," I said going to the bathroom while rubbing my eyes and yawning, after five minutes I emerged from the bathroom wide awake. I slowly opened the door to see the butler, Liam standing there while looking at his pocket watch

"Shall we go?"

he offered and I nodded while tucking his watch away

"Lead the way."

He led me down a couple of stairs and into another room, there I saw a long table made of dark oak, with ten elegant seats carved to perfection, an expensive chandelier hung atop of it which lighted the whole room.

The 3rd mafia boss was seated at the place of power and on her left was Zero and on her right was Ms. Hanabi, the three of them were ready to eat. Once the brunet saw me she smiled and beckoned me to join them, I bit my lip, hesitating on what to do. Zero could probably see my uneasiness

"You can sit here beside me little bunny." He offered while patting the seat next to him,

I went to him and slowly sat down by his side. Liam served me food which consists of steak, mashed potatoes on its side mixed with veggies while a maid on standby poured me a glass of red wine, I stared down at my food debating if it is poisoned or not.

"Don't be shy dig in." I hear the boss say but I didn't move "it's not poisoned." She reassured,

I slowly grabbed my fork cutting a piece of steak, sniffing it first, when I was sure there was no poison mix in it I took a bite.

"Well I know you have a lot of questions right now but I'll try to answer it all as I can." The boss said as I took another bite "but first the basics; you're already aware of the position I gave you as my informant, I'll be mostly giving you names that you need to track down. Don't worry you won't fight on the field, you'll be mostly working behind the scenes. Second, don't you ever dare escape from this place if you did I'll know right away and my best trackers will hunt you down and kill you on the spot. Lastly, you are forbidden to have any communications with the outside world, if I found out you defied me in any way, I'll punish you personally." She finished, clapping her hands together like a little kid while smiling innocently,

I nodded slowly letting what she said sink in. I put my fork down instantly losing my appetite dreading the punishment she promised, I felt a knot tightening on my stomach making me shudder a little.

"Any questions?" She asked and I thought for a while

"hmmm...this has been bugging me for a while since I got here," I said pausing a little bit

"But if this building is your HQ then where exactly is everybody?" she smirked "Well since you're already done with dinner it's much better to show you rather than to tell."

She stood and beckoned me to follow her, I look at Zero who just nodded while standing up. I stood up also and trailed behind them while looking back at Miss Hanabi who was still eating, showing no interest in coming with us. We left her while we headed to another hallway and stopped in front of an elevator. The doors opened and 3 of us went in, Zero pushed a button that says -1. The doors closed and it began its descend, it took five minutes for it to arrive at its destination
