The Hunt Begins

As the Goblin Lord was leading the path to the invaders, Allen became curious to know more about the creatures of these dungeon.

"It must be a difficult task? Living inside the dungeon, leading the Goblins and protecting the dungeon"

"No My Lord! This Dungeon is my Home, it's my honour to protect it. But I am not so great as you think so. The previous Goblin Lord ruled this dungeon, commanded the goblin troops and protected the dungeon. But he was slain by the adventures in the year before this. For many months there was no lord to command us thus everyone became restless and the morals dropped drastically."

The Goblin Lord paused for a moment while answering Allen's questions, then he continued..

"Recently I evolved by gaining experience and became the New Goblin Lord. But the creatures residing here don't acknowledge me because I am a failure. I am not as strong as the previous Goblin Lord nor do I have powers like him. I am much more interested in building things. "

While the Goblin Lord was explaining everything, Allen noticed his own image on the Goblin Lord. The Goblin Lord was different from others and was trying to get acknowledge by everyone for his work but was getting rejection, just like Allen in his previous life.

" There My lord this is the maze where the adventurers are currently fighting my fellow brothers."

As the Goblin Lord pointed his finger towards the maze, Allen saw the exit to a labyrinth made up of stone walls. It touched the ceiling thus blocking the swift abilities.

"What is your name goblin?"

"I don't have any My Lord."

Listening to the reply of the Goblin Lord, Allen felt weird that the Goblin Lord don't have a name. He cannot just call him Goblin Lord, it was like racist.

"Ok! From now on you shall be called Hector."

"Than...."

Receiving a name, the Goblin Lord was trying to say something but Allen interrupting him and continued.

"Now Hector go gather every denizens of this dungeon. Bring them here. If they don't listen, tell them that the new Dungeon Master have summoned them."

Receiving the command Hector bows and leave immediately and within second he vanished into the darkness.

Meanwhile Allen enters into the Labyrinth. He had some spells in his mind which were active in his current level. He was eager to try it on those Adventurers who were like lab rats for him. But before that he must prepare himself. As the phrase says, prevention is better than cure.

"Activate Authority of the Dungeon Master"[ Phantom Body]

The spell Phantom Body was one among few spell which didn't cost any mana because it came under {Authority of the Dungeon Master} a privilege given only to the dungeon Master. It helps the user to travel anywhere inside the dungeon ignoring the terrain.

Here with this spell Allen was able to move through the Labyrinth walls.

Following the sound of the ongoing battle Allen tracks the adventurers down. Ten adventurers were fighting against some goblins and they were easily defeating them because the Goblins movement were unorganized and had no cooperation among themselves.

Hiding inside the walls Allen was watching over them. May be they were low level adventurers because non of them were able to detect him.

[ Appraisal ]

With the spell the stats of every adventures popped up before him.

After analysing the information Allen felt uneasy. He starts to doubt himself. All the adventurers were way more higher in level than him. There was no telling what kind of skills they were hiding in their sleeves.

But is was not the time for his doubts. His dungeon was in danger and as the new dungeon master his foremost task was to protect it. As an experienced gamer he had his own ways to deal with the adventures, if not with power than with intelligence.

Moving ahead of the adventurers Allen started setting up his traps.

1st tier spell [ Illusion ]

" Activate Authority of the Dungeon Master"

[ Delay Distance Teleportation]

As the words escaped from Allen's mouth several magic circle formed in the middle of the Labyrinth's path.

While Illusion was a simple spell which plays tricks on the mind, Delay Distance teleportation was a trap spell which transports the victims into some predestined place when activated.

Arrayed with each other it was a perfect spell for divide and rule policy which crumbled even the strongest powers houses.

Allen waited patiently for the adventurers, like a tiger waiting for its prey, hiding within the walls of maze.

As the adventurers stepped into the trap the 1st plain came in motion. The illusion spell activated and started to play with it's victims mind.

The adventurers came into formation, the mage of level 2, Kim, activated his spell.

[ Water Jet]

Within seconds Kim's staff started glowing and out of no where water droplets gathered around Kim's staff and launched itself to the incoming fireball.

But the fire ball didn't extinguish there. In order to protect the themselves the most experienced adventurer, the witch named Rin starts her incantation.

[ Anti Elemental Barrier]

The protection spell made by Rin created a dome shape barrier encircling every adventurers. Rin smiled as the barrier successfully protected everyone by absorbing the incoming fireball.

But soon Rin screamed with everyone else as the Ceiling of the Labyrinth started to collapses. The spell "Anti Elemental Barrier" was not meant to protect everyone from physical projectiles and there was not enough time to caste any other spell.

Out of desperation Rin with all other adventurers dispersed into different direction and unknowingly they activated the 2nd trap spell of Allen.

Everything was happening according to Allen's plan. As a team it was impossible for Allen to deal with the intruders. But now without any proper guidance and leadership these adventurers were fragile. In time Allen was ready to eliminate every adventurers, one by one.

"What where am I?"

"Did I came here before?"

Confused, the level 2 tank, Allester Rockwood starts to find his fellow companions. He was heavily equipped for a beginner level adventurer because he came from a noble family.

Meanwhile Allen was watching over him. Allester was his 1st target.

Allen sub class was that of a summoner. His summoning skill was also linked to his game. Among many monsters, a boss level monster was a Dyraid. A monster who commanded flora itself. Allen was not powerful enough to summon her but her low level minions were approachable.

Summon 1st tier [ Giant Venus Fly Trap]

As the words escaped from Allen's mouth a giant circle illuminated the Labyrinth's floor and from there rose a level 2 botanical monster.

" Hello, sister Rin, are u there?"

As Allester's voice echoed through the empty Labyrinth he suddenly felt goosebumps. He felt like something sinister was watching him.

"Who's there? Co...."

Interrupted by something , Allester moves his eyes toward his legs. One of his leg was entangled by some kind of weird vines.

Trying to free himself he slice the vines with his short sword but the vines kept on coming. His shield's skill on which he had his faith on was ineffective to protect him from these vines yet he was fighting .

"What the hell is this?"

As Allester fell down, the vines completely entangles him and dragged him to its source.

"Noooooo.....leave me....noooo"

Allester started to scream as he saw the horror before him.

In front of Allester was a humongous plant with multiple giant mouth which were covered with numerous spiky teeth. It's serpentine vines were dragging Allester to devour him as it opened it's mouth wide open.

....AaAaAaAaAaAaAaAaAa....

"Good Girl"

As Allen patted the Monstrous plant, it spited the equipment worn by Allester as the digestion process already begun. It also smiled receiving the praise from it's master, or so did Allen think.
