75_Finally, She's here

*********************

Later that night, The palace was quiet as usual, Raven roamed around in the shadows without anyone noticing her.

She walked to the lines and then the courtyard, it was as if she missed this place so much that she wanted to get a better view.

Xavier's eyes flew open and he sat up on his bed. "Finally, She's here," He said and vaulted out of bed, grabbing his sword and running outside.

The sound of heavy footsteps in the large hallway woke the others up, Zeke came out, alert and so did The princes and King Aaron.

They unknowingly followed Xavier, they didn't know what was going on, but seeing Xavier with a sword, it instantly registered in their head that their guest was here.

Xavier got out of the palace's entrance, scanning the courtyard carefully.

"What is it Xavier," King Aaron asked as they stood together with their swords held tightly in their hands.

They looked around, also scanning the area for unknown threats.

"She's here," Xavier said.

"Who's here?" Prince Joseph asked.

"He meant the Assassin, try to keep up Dummy," Zeke said, in another case, he would be in huge trouble with those twin princes but right now, they were all scared down to their wits that they didn't take notice of his insulting words.

The clanging of swords was heard, coming from the fields, which drew their attention.

They all ran to where they heard the noise and saw all their soldiers on the floor, Dead.

Now they were standing about twenty feet away from Raven, but face to face with her. Her cloak danced in the night breeze and the stench of blood filled the air. With all the soldiers she killed, there wasn't a single blood stain on her sword.

Which made the King crease his brows, knowing something familiar about that skill.

"Who are you and what do you want?" Ezekiel asked, but the Assassin was silent, just standing there holding her sword and gazing directly at Xavier.

"Could it be she's also deaf?" Zeke asked in a low tone.

"I mean no harm," Raven finally said, standing amid dead bodies.

"You killed my Son, the crown prince Nathan!" King Aaron yelled, awakening the General and Alex, and some other soldiers who came rushing to the scene.

The night breeze was soothing and the atmosphere looked tense, no one dared attack first.

Raven creased her brows after hearing that, "I did no such thing," She said.

"Liar, you killed my brother and killed half of our soldiers and you come here saying you mean no harm?!"Xavier yelled, trembling with anger that his dark aura clouded the air, giving everyone goosebumps, except Raven, she was not scared of anything even death, so she couldn't feel what the others were feeling.

"They attacked me without giving me a chance to explain, you expect I stand still and let them kill me, without defending myself?" Raven asked, tilting her neck.

She felt anger too, that Xavier never thought of looking for her, He was back in Cranes Kingdom and never went to search for her after confessing his love for her.

Too bad, she couldn't feel what she felt for him back then, her heart was as hard as stone ever since the death of her sister. She was a different being, one with no heart called Raven, the sweet Athena was now gone and it'll take a miracle to bring her back.

"And if they attack again, I will kill them all, even you!" She said pointing her sword at Xavier.

"How could you, what did we ever do to you, who are you, and who sent you, why would you eliminate the crown prince!" Xavier yelled again.

Raven sighed, "I told you, I did no such thing, I only just arrived here and know nothing about the death of Nathan," Raven said.

"How did you know his name?" Alex asked but was completely snubbed by the Assassin.

"Then who else could it be, I see you're not only a bloodthirsty murderer but also a lying bitch," Xavier spat.

"But you've crossed the lion's death and you're not going back alive!" He said with clenched jaws and clenched fists. Holding onto his sword tightly.

He charged in on Raven, but she stood still, watching him charge in on her, He swung his sword, aiming for her neck but she dodged effortlessly.

Xavier groaned, swinging his sword again but she disappeared out of sight, dodging his attack again. Her reflexes were so fucking fast that he couldn't even see her.

Xavier was always calculating and smart with his attacks but his rage had clouded his mind and how could he attack calculative when the person he was aiming for was so fast on her feet?

The others wanted to join but the King raised his hands, stopping them from going any further.

"Let him handle this," The King said, standing and observing the assassin closely instead of his son.

Xavier attacked like a madman, swinging his sword listlessly in the air, but no matter how fast he swung, it only cut through nothing but the air, Raven was just too fast, her reflexes and her feet.

She was a pro assassin, he had to admit. And if he kept on with this he'll end up tiring himself out.

"Why aren't you attacking huh, stod dodging my attacks and fight back!" Xavier yelled.

Raven stopped and stood still, and he also stopped moving, panting heavily but the girl didn't even lose her breath.

"Okay," She said, shrugging her shoulders.

Her audacity was fueling the fire in Xavier, he didn't want to do this but he had no choice.

Xavier relaxed his body, his disheveled hair fell on his face and then the strands turned silvery white and it grew longer.

Fangs grew on his teeth and his claws elongated. He dropped the sword, running his fingers through his hair and tearing off his shirt, revealing the serpent tattoo. Zavian rose from the ground, floating in the air as those black wisps of smile circulated him.

The weather changed and rain began to pour as thunder boomed in the sky.

Zavian didn't like shirts. The King and everyone who stood behind stepped back in shock at Xavier's sudden transformation. The face was the same but the features were different.

"That's Zavian," Ezekiel whispered to Alex who had his mouth opened in shock.

Raven also had a shocked countenance, was this the Xavier she once knew? She shrugged off her stupefaction and her blank expression was back on. It seems like she wasn't the only one who changed.

She drew out her sword and it turned into the sword-whip. He wanted her to attack, she was going to do just that.

"You brought this upon yourself, mortal," Zavian said with a distorted voice.

This time, Raven attacked first, she leaped to meet his altitude, and held her sword above her head, going in for a strike, but Zavian outstretched his hand, stopping her in mid-air.

She was immobile, she couldn't move as Dark wisps of smoke circulated her in the air where Zavian held her still.

She struggled but to no avail. Zavian smirked and opened his palm, sending her back down with force, her back collided with the ground sending thick specks of dust to rise.

Zavian floated down and walked to where he had thrown her, a wave of his hand, and then the clouds of dust dissipated.

He creased his brows, seeing no one there, the rain poured harder and then he spotted something where she fell, it was a necklace.

He knelt on one knee and then took the necklace in his hand, it was the butterfly necklace Xavier had given Athena back when he took her out.

What was it doing with...no, no, it couldn't be...Did Raven kill Athena?
