The Magnolia Beauty

Suyin, a modern pediatrician known for her unyielding sense of justice, finds herself catapulted into the past when a lightning strike hits her during a storm. She awakens in the body of Han Suyin, the only daughter of a noble family responsible for educating the royal family of the Long clan (This is inferred she is in her ancestor's past body). Trapped in a society where women, especially female doctors, are looked down upon, Suyin faces severe oppression and control from her parents, who prioritize their fame and fortune above her well-being. Determined to escape her stifling life, Suyin flees to the territory controlled by the Qin clan, who are embroiled in a fierce war with the Long clan. Crossing the border, she encounters Qin Fuhua, the feared Prince of Qin, notorious as the "Devil of Misfortune." After saving his younger sister with her advanced medical knowledge, Suyin is taken hostage by Qin Fuhua, who is both intrigued and suspicious of her unusual skills and knowledge. Within the Qin clan's stronghold, Suyin's resolve and medical expertise begin to challenge the clan's ruthless and merciless reputation. Despite the absence of modern technology and the freedom she once knew, Suyin adapts, using her compassion and intelligence to navigate her precarious situation. A mysterious riddle involving magnolia flowers and a prophecy ties Suyin to Qin Fuhua, drawing him to her despite his initial reservations: "Flowers of magnolia will guide for a better future." The scent of magnolia flowers that seems to follow Suyin hints at a destiny intertwined with the fate of both the Long and Qin clans. As she strives to survive and make a difference in this ancient world, Suyin's presence becomes a beacon of change, challenging old beliefs and forging new paths. Sweet Medicine

Suyin lay in bed, her thoughts consumed with the worry for Qin Fuhua throughout the journey to the campgrounds, overshadowing any concern for her well-being. The weight of her concern manifested as a slight migraine, each throb pulsating through her temples. She raised a hand to her head, hoping to alleviate some of the discomfort.

Qin Fuhua entered the large tent, balancing a wooden tray with a bowl of steaming porridge and a small bowl of medicine. At the doorway, Weizhe peeked in, a broad grin lighting up his face, clearly pleased with himself for seeing the two reunited again.

Qin Fuhua moved with deliberate care, each step measured as he approached Suyin. He gently placed the wooden tray on the table beside her, his movements calm and precise.

Turning his attention fully to Suyin, he immediately noted the way she cradled her head, her expression marred by discomfort.

Concern flashed across his face, and he quickly closed the distance between them, his eyes filled with worry.

"Are you in pain?" he asked softly sitting on the edge of the bed. His gaze was steady, studying her intently, searching for any sign of distress.

Suyin shook her head gently, managing a faint smile despite the pounding in her temples.

"Just a little bit. Maybe it was because I didn't get enough rest," she said, her voice soft as she glanced at the tray and then back at him.

Qin Fuhua rose from his seat and delicately picked up the small wooden bowl filled with a clear, steaming liquid. He returned to her side, sitting close enough for her to feel his warmth.

Carefully, he took a spoon and scooped a small amount of the liquid, holding it out to her.

"Take some medication, and then eat," He urged softly, his intense gaze locked with hers. The usually cold-hearted Prince, known for his piercing eyes and unyielding demeanor, had inexplicably softened in the presence of Han Suyin.

Suyin met his gaze, her eyes reflecting a mix of gratitude and stubbornness. She gently pushed the bowl of medication away, a silent but powerful gesture of resistance.

"I'm feeling okay. I believe I just need to get some rest," Suyin murmured, her voice barely above a whisper.

She was aware of the importance of rest, feeling too exhausted to consume any food or medicine at the moment.

As she began to recline, seeking the comfort of her pillow, Qin Fuhua reached out and tenderly pulled her back to him.

He grabbed the bowl with a firm grip and brought it to his lips, the cool ceramic pressing against his skin. Tilting his head back, he drank deeply, the bitter taste of the medication coating his tongue.

Without hesitation, he leaned toward Suyin, his eyes locking onto hers with an intensity that made her heart skip a beat. Gently, yet decisively, he pressed his lips against hers, creating a connection that felt both startling and intimate. The liquid flowed from his mouth to hers, a surprising act that left her momentarily stunned.

Suyin's eyes widened in shock, her mind reeling from the unexpected gesture. Instinctively, she swallowed, the unpleasant taste of the medicine mingling with the lingering warmth of his kiss.

As Qin Fuhua pulled back, he raised his hand to his mouth, casually wiping away the remnants of the medication from his lips. His gaze remained fixed on her, unwavering filled with a mixture of concern and determination.

"It'll make the medication sweeter," he said softly, his voice a low murmur that seemed to resonate in the silent room.

"Are you still feeling unwell?" He asked, his voice laced with worry.

"N-No!" Suyin stammered, barely able to get the words out as she covered her lips with her right hand. She turned back to him, shy and flustered, unable to look directly at him.

Instead, her eyes drifted to his attire.

Qin Fuhua stood before her in full armor. The dark black metal, accented with hints of white, gleamed in the soft light. His cloak lay draped over the chair by the table, and his shoulder armor pads made him appear even more formidable.

He looked like a knight from the novels she had read as a child or a hero from a movie, his presence both handsome and noble.

Noticing her gaze, Qin Fuhua followed her line of sight and understood. She realized that he had come straight from the battlefield, not even taking the time to change out of his armor because he was concerned for her.

His heart swelled with emotion as he extended his right hand, gently caressing her cheek with his large, calloused fingers.

"I missed you," he murmured, his voice barely audible, laden with emotion. He longed to pull her into an embrace but hesitated, aware of the grime and blood that might still cling to his armor.

As he began to withdraw his hand, Suyin moved swiftly, closing the distance between them. She wrapped her arms around him, holding him tightly. Her voice was soft, almost a whisper, as she spoke into his ear.

"You were always on my mind. No matter how busy it got, I was worried you'd be injured or wounded."

Qin Fuhua returned her embrace, holding her as tightly as he dared. "My dearest," he said, his voice tender, "the winds in the skies have drifted across the mountains and I whispered to them every day with the desire to see you again."

They held each other in silence, the warmth of their embrace offering profound comfort that words could never fully capture. In that moment, the world outside ceased to exist, leaving only the two of them, reunited and secure in each other's arms.
