"But I'm not playing around this time," Zhihao shrugged, "I really like her. I'm serious about her, and I'm going to prove it to her."

The wedding reception was in full swing, with laughter and music filling the air as guests mingled and enjoyed the festivities. Lai found herself at the small mini-bar, reaching for a glass of champagne, her fingers lightly tracing the delicate stem as she lifted it to her lips.
She took a sip, savouring the effervescence as it danced across her tongue, momentarily lost in the bubbles and the soft hum of conversation around her.
