Chapter 3

"You only cared about yourself. You're nothing more than a selfish brat." He said in a distorted and angry voice.

"William, I-" I was stuttering from what I heard when he hushed me.

"You didn't asked if I was okay. If I needed help. Only yourself." William said, slowly walking towards me while looking at me dead in the eye with his hollow-like black eyes.

"William, I never-" I tried talking back, but he swings a punch on me, that I avoided easily.

"You never cared. You're selfish. You're horrible. You're a manipulative user." William said, inching closer.

Tears slowly fell on my face as I looked at William. I wasn't scared, I was just... Sad. I never meant it like that. I was supposed to ask him if he's okay. I wanted to help him. Before I knew it, he dashed towards me, with a punch ready. I only froze from the pure sadness I felt. I deserve being punched by him. I deserved to die, even. I looked at his face one last time as I looked away, closing my eyes, ready to receive my retribution. But- that's odd, I heard a whoosh, and when I looked, William's face was cut clean in half, as his body fell to the ground. Death was slightly behind me, shaking his head. The William that died slowly dissapeared into the fog.

"Oh, you poor child. I would love to lecture you, but we need to get out of-" Death's words got cut-off when more Williams appeared.

The Williams appeared one by one from the fog, slowly walking towards us. Death tapped his scythe to the floor twice and the fog cleared up, revealing atleast 15 or 20 Williams surrounding us.

Death took his stance, ready to fight.

"It seems you're a litte too late, Death. You'll join this child to his grave." The Williams said in unison and monotonous voice, as they grinned at us.

"Hmph. Why don't you try me?" Death said, readying his scythe to swing at them.

The Williams started running one after the other, with their prime target at sight: me. But Death swiftly turns and moves around me, cutting the William's head and hands like a blender. The Williams all dissapeared and disintegrated into smoke as they died. His speed and power was overwhelming for the first 10 Williams, when their strength started to slowly match Death and by the 15th William, their strength was overwhelming Death. Even though Death skillfully dodges their attacks, The Williams overpowered him when he got grabbed by his scythe. The William threw the scythe, and three more Williams got on top of him to pin him down. Death's scythe dropped right in front of me, as I looked to my side and see the last William slowly walking towards me, grinning.

"Now then, which way do you plan on dying, child?" William said in a distorted, almost unrecognizable voice.

I was in a daze, but I didn't think twice. I held the scythe in my hands, and pointed it towards William, when I dropped it out of a sudden pain I felt when I touched the scythe.

"Child, that scythe's only meant for my use! If you use that, your soul might get damaged!" Death said, as he struggled to break free from the Williams pinning him down.

I looked at my hand, now bleeding. I only shrugged it off as I picked up the scythe once more.

"No more running away." I said, enduring the pain that I feel on the scythe.

I took my stance, ready to fight. William only gave me a menacing smile.

"So the hard way it is. Ahh, we forgot how fascinating a human mind is." The William said as he dashed towards me, readying a punch.

Using the scythe like a pole, I somersaulted on William, hitting him on the chin and effectively knocking him down. When he fell back, I swung the scythe to his side and pushed it hard, cutting him in half. The Other Williams that were pinning down Death looked at me, grinning widely.

"It seems you're not to be underestimated, child." The Williams began charging towards me one by one.

I took my stance, ready to fight them.
