Chapter 1Chapter 1

Looming in front of my dull eyes was the building I was hoping to call home, a sanctuary for those with gifted abilities called quirks.

Quirks are like superpowers, what 80% of the population has, an uncanny ability is what other people could call it.

Anyways, I don't have a quirk, but I'm still going to U.A, the number 1 hero school in all of Japan. Being a transfer from America I never really felt welcome among my peers, they've always felt cold and distant towards me, like it's xenophobia or something of that matter, but I won't get into that.

Taking a half step forward, I felt a few raindrops fall from already grey sky, I looked up and saw the clouds hanging above like they were attached to some invisible string, idly sitting there and not bothered by anything, just being themselves...that's why I've always liked clouds, they seem so distant yet so close to me.

I started to walk towards U.A, hoping to not get noticed as I pulled up my hood. My eyes scanned my surroundings and took in the environment, I saw multiple students doing whatever they wanted too at the moment before session started, talking, running around, just...being themselves, it's like they didn't care that they would get wet.

I entered U.A and took in the sight before me, tall pillars stood on either side of the door and numerous long hallways stood on either side of me.

Ruffling through my backpack, I felt around until I could find my schedule, locker number, or whatever else I could need at the moment.

My eyes looked the sheet up and down until I laid them upon lockers 2-1F, my locker, which was on the second floor if I remembered correctly.

Sighing again, I treaded up the stairs, my feet quietly plopping against the stairs. I began to think about why I was here to begin with.

U.A was divided into a few sections based on profession, the hero course, general studies, support, and the supposed quirk-less program, a class where even those without quirks could learn the basics of being a hero, which could help them out in the future, regardless.

I weaved past a group of kids as I approached my locker, running my finger across the metal door.

"Here goes nothing."

I murmured to myself as I punched in the code and opened the door. I heard a monotonous click, followed by the screeching sound of the opening door.

I took my backpack, heaping it over my shoulder before putting it into the locker with a quiet thud, opening my backpack, I took out my books and a few other supplies.

I then reopened my schedule, scanning it until I found my designated classroom. Class 3-A, which was inside U.A's basement, which didn't sound like the best place.

I rolled my eyes, tossing aside the sheet of brown hair that covered my eyes, my eyes were dark and sunken, having not slept the night before.

Closing my locker and walking away, I stared down into the tile floor, ignoring everything until I could reach my classroom and get it over with.

I could feel the looming eyes of people glaring in my direction, along with whispers and indistinct murmurs in my direction.

I sighed again as I finally gathered the courage to look up, and a figure caught my eye. He stood about 5'9, had long indigo hair which came out in tufts, his hair matched his eyes, the same indigo color, which bored into his cellphone. The 3 golden beads in his green shoulder fabric told me he was general studies, I had 4 beads, which indicated I was in the quirk-less program.

I looked at him for a few seconds, his eyes not bothering to leave the screen, his expression all the more indifferent.

I just continued to walk down the hallway and towards my class, taking down another flight of stairs before entering the basement, which its lights seemed more dimly lit than the rest of the building.

I scanned the classroom and saw not that many people in the room with me, the only thing that really caught my attention was the quiet humming of the generator in the back corner of the classroom.

I looked around until I found my seat, taking a seat, staring into the forest green chalkboard which was worn down with chalk marks and scratches.

My ears perked up as I heart heavy footsteps entering the room, they belonged to a tall man with long, black hair.

The man's eyes were dark and red, giving a sinister yet authoritative look, his all black clothing made him appear like a phantom in the dimly lit classroom.

"Hello students."

I could hear the boredom and carelessness radiating off his voice as he spoke, he was definitely disinterested.

"My name is Mr. Aizawa, and I'll be your teacher for the year...just don't screw around and we'll be good"

"...why did they demote me from the hero course teaching damn it."

I heard him mumble after making his introduction, he was demoted from teaching the hero course for some reason, I just don't really care to know.
