You are my Master

"Of course I can! If I couldn't read your mind, I wouldn't have told you so!" the girl said.

Aiden's eyes widened in surprise! Ever since he entered this world, he had heard of the only type of mage that could read people's mind: A psychic. Could this little girl really be a psychic? Could she really be stronger than Mr White?

"So does that mean that you are a psychic?" thinking of this, Aiden asked.

"No!" the girl firmly shook her head. "I am not a psychic!"

"But then how can you...." Aiden muttered in confusion. Ever since he entered this world, he has been hearing about psychic mages a lot. In fact that was the type of mage that Ace wanted to become. Due to all this, he had a clear idea about how psychic mages are.

Psychic mages are known for their ability to manipulate the mind and their environment. They can change the environment by moving the things located in the environment with their most basic power Telekinesis!

This was an ability that all psychic mages have —Even those who have just awakened their superpowers. The amount of things they can move though, depends on their mastery over the act.

However, there was a super ability that made psychic very fearsome and that was their ability to manipulate the minds of their victims easily. This ability was what made psychics stand out from other mages!

Yet, from what Aiden knew, he knew that most psychics who had this ability were truly strong. They were even stronger than Mr White who was the second strongest person in the entire city!

From all this, one could easily deduce that all of psychics who had this ability had o be extremely old or at least they must be in their middle ages. This was the reason why Aiden denied any possibility of the girl being a psychic with the ability to control people's mind. After all, how could the little girl around the same age as him be a psychic who had the ability to manipulate people's mind?

There was simply no way. Even if she was to start training from her mother's womb, she wouldn't be able to read people's mind by the age of sixteen or seventeen. Moreover, psychics were the only people who could read people's mind!

This is why Aiden is so confused by what the girl was saying. If she wasn't a psychic then who was she?

"I am not s psychic! I am something different...."

"Something different...." Aiden trailed off. If you aren't a psychic then who are you then? Or could there be another type of mage that could read people's mind?

"I am a summoned spirit!" said the girl.

"A summoned spirit? You're a summoned spirit!" Aiden's eyes widened as he body stiffened. He had heard of the term 'summoned spirit' before. Ace had mentioned this one time when they were on their way to school.

According to Ace, there existed another plane from the human plane. That plane was called the Spirit Plane!

In the Spirit Plane existed summoned spirits. These summoned spirits feed on mana from the spirit plane. They had the ability to make "contracts" with humans in order to come into this world. However, doing this comes with a risk as there is no such thing as a "free lunch" in the world.

The risk these summoned spirits had to take in order to get to the human world is by typically becoming the slave of the human they chose. They lose their freedom to make most decisions by themselves and have to serve the human for the rest of his or her life. Either that or they can only leave if the human allows them.

Most of these summoned spirits were very delighted when they discovered the human world. They planned to co-exist with humans but reality was far more cruel. Instead of coexisting, the relationship between them and humans became that of a master and a servant when humans discovered their abilities.

Soon enough, the summoned spirits also noticed this and they decided to never visit the human world. Due to this summoned spirits are known to be very rare and rarely do people come across or even see them. This was the reason why Aiden was so surprised upon seeing one.

"Does that mean that this..." Aiden asked in surprise as he seemed to have remembered something.

"Yes... it's a spirit space!" the girl said with a smirk.

"Hm..." Aiden nodded his head when he heard the girl's reply. Even though summoned spirits could join the human world, it was still very dangerous for them to stay outside since they tend to rely on a heavy amount of mana to survive.

Because of this, the summoned spirits have a place to stay whilst they accompanied their masters on their journey: The Spirit space! According to what Aiden knew, the spirit space was the place where the core of all mages was located: their power source. Their power source was where every mage gains all his power.

Yet, due to the fact that place had a lot of mana around it, it was the ideal place for summoned spirits to stay. By doing so, they are able to feed on the human's mana whilst also accompaining their masters.

"But.... Isn't this place supposed to be the myriad of magic? Why am I here? And also, where is your master?"

Aiden asked after a period of silence. He clearly remembered Mr White saying that they were going to the myriad of magic and that was where they were going to awaken their superpowers. So how did he end up in someone else's spirit space?

"Oh, this place is surely not the 'myriad of magic' you are talking about. Not that I know..." the girl shrugged, "And as for my master though.... Hmph! That would be you! You better treat me well..."

"You mean your master is here.... Wait, What?"

Aiden was about to say something when he heard the voice of the girl sound in front of him.
