Lance Hart

All the normal people lost all hope when Bryan raised his hand.

"Ask your question!", Mr James said to Bryan.

"Sir, I wanted to know the teacher who was going to supervise the magic selection ceremony?", Bryan stood up and asked.

Bryan was a tall handsome boy around the age of sixteen. He had black, short hair tight in a ponytail revealing a thin, menacing face. Heavy amber eyes, set charmingly within their sockets.

His handsome and eloquent hair tends to attract members of the opposite sex. However, one thing no one liked about him was his arrogant attitude. An attitude most royals have. They look down on normal humans.

"I will supervise the ceremony myself. Mrs Rose isn't going to supervise the ceremony anymore. I am going to take her role. Do you have any problem?", Mr James asked Bryan.

"I have no problem. I just wanted to know.", Bryan said loudly as he sat down.

All the normal students then heaved a huge sigh of relief, believing that their problems are solved until,

"Sir, I have a question.", a handsome boy sitting in the front seat said. The boy had red fur hair that made him stand out in the masses. Also, he was very handsome. So handsome, that he could be considered to be on par with Bryan!

This is the face of Lance Hart, the boy who raised his hand and also one of the best students in the class. He was only second to Bryan and he was also royalty.

He was from the Hart Family. A first-class family that used to rule over Frozen lake city.

"Go on!", Mr James said to Lance with a smile.

"Em, Don't you think allowing the normal people to participate in the ceremony will waste a lot of time? What if none of these guys are late developers?", Lance asked with a cheeky smile on his face. His red hair fluttered through the air as it blew silently into the classroom.

"Sigh!, Listen. We should allow everyone to participate in the ceremony and not identify any late developer than to miss a late developer.", Mr James said to Lance.

"But sir, I don't think this is very important. Can't you do that another time?", Lance, still stubborn about the decision complained.

'Damn it! This guy is trying to destroy our chance! My chance to show my new power! I can't let that happen!", Travis thought as he raised his hand.

"Huh? do you have any questions?", Mr James asked Travis when he saw his hand up.

"No, I would like to talk to Lance about something."

"Go on!", Mr James said.

Travis then turned to lance and said to him,

"I don't even know what kind of problem you have Mr James' decision. But the more you do this, the more the chance given to us by Mr James slips away. Don't act like a stupid fool! Be smart! What if we find a late developer? Think deeper and stop thinking so shallowly. Why are you, even so, self-centred?", Travis dropped the bombshell.

"When did a puny ant start to talk to me like this?! Am I losing my standing in this class? Remember your place! What audacity do you have to speak to me? you imbecile!", Lance, hearing what Travis said naturally couldn't accept it and therefore retaliated with his barrage of insults.

"Huh? Were you speaking? I am sorry but I don't understand goats!", Travis said in a nonchalant manner as he sat down.

"You dare call me a fool? We will see about that! Mr James will leave! Hmph!", Lance looked at Mr James' face and said before sitting down.

He didn't attack Travis because Mr James was around.

"Well, did Travis just rebuke Lance? He is dead for sure!"

"No! Lance is too self-centred! How can you treat your fellow student like that? He likes to discriminate too much! Serves him right!"

"You think so too? I also think he deserves it! He always treats us like we are not worth his time. He always insults us by calling us trash! I think Travis had the bravery that none of us~ the normal humans~ have. I like him now!"

The class went into complete chaos after the brief dialogue between Travis and Lance. Most of the normal people thought that what Travis did was right! As for the ones with superpowers they weren't talking. Why? because they were shocked by Travis' bravery. They didn't understand it. Maybe he was sure of his strength or he was just stupid.

"So It's decided. The normal ones will partake in the ceremony.", Mr James said as he exited the room.

"I am going to visit the washroom.", seeing Mr James exit the class Travis said to Jim as he stood up and run out.

"Where the hell do you think you are going?! Have a duel with me now!", Lance said loudly when he saw Travis exiting the room right after Mr James.

"Huh?! Were you talking to me? Sorry but I don't duel with goats! Hahaha", Travis let out a wicked laugh as he exited the class.

"You bastard!", Lance roared in anger.

The city of the Frozen lake was built in the shadow of an enormous mountain and is truly a fully modernized marvel. Built after the first appearance of the cursed, Its wonder is matched by the backdrop of gentle hills which have helped shape the city into what it is today.

The climate these hills brought were of great importance, but they were also influential when it came to architectural designs as the vast majority of buildings have been built in various round shapes and sizes, which mimics the playfulness of the hills around them.

The skyline is growing with luxurious skyscrapers and they have aspects which represent their past, present and future. Parks and gardens are flourishing in Frozen lake and it has attracted a lot of attention.

However, a meeting, a very important one, one that could change the lives of about three hundred thousand people, was currently taking place in the City's centre.
