In The Hall of Righteousness

At the shores of Ndia ocean, Mueni, a chosen witch was strolling alongside Mboya Ogwang', the one with the book. Since the latter was brought to Hall of Righteousness, the two had unexpectedly become close. This had made Ogwang's training easier for he could agree with almost everything the woman said.

Today, after a long work in the third compartment of the third floor of the Hall of Righteousness, the two had decided to take a ramble at the beach to recuperate and to have time for each other.

"Mboya, how do you feel when you walk knowing that the fate of Keniya partly rests on your shoulders?" Mueni asked looking at Mboya intently.

"What can I say?" Ogwang' chuckled before continuing, "After I almost died because I had to save the Ordainer, honestly I felt like going back to Karachuo and live my life quietly. That was until the Saint Witch said that I was gifted. With the responsibilities a gifted person can have..."

"Mueni! Mboya! I need you within the hall, NOW!"

Mboya was still patiently narrating to this beautiful woman how he felt about the responsibility he shouldered when he was interrupted by an anxious voice that filled the air. They did not have to look around for they knew it was Moraa, their leader. Normally, she would send someone to call them over if she really needed them. For her to cast a spell just to invite them...furthermore to be that anxious, the two knew there was a problem and hurriedly rushed towards the hall.

It must be said that casting a spell was no easy thing. It involved magic and strength, all of which took a toll on one's energy. Unless necessary, no one was willing to cast a spell no matter how easy it was. The two normally roamed around the ocean when they had time, would their leader be dead already if she had to summon them using spells any time she needed them?

Immediately they got to the third compartment, they found Moraa on her knees crying. They had never seen her that way before and this made them panic.

"Ma'am." Mueni ran up to Moraa to help her up but her leader's reaction baffled her.

The woman sat on the floor, removed the cloth covering her head and started wailing like someone who had just lost a beloved one. Mueni and Mboya involuntarily looked at each other and they both saw the looks of bewilderment on their faces.

"Ma'am, I am sure you did not have us leave the beach just to come and see you cry."

Mboya was not a wizard needless to say a chosen one. He therefore was not attached to the Hall of Righteousness as Mueni. Whether it was the head of the hall or even the most powerful wizard in here, he had no reason to revere them like those beneath them. If anything, he was here to help the Ordainer in his quest. No wizard or witch could be foolish enough to harm him lest they wanted to face off the One from above himself. He was already annoyed with this woman for messing his time with that beauty. Seeing her behave that way, he could not help but sarcase.

It is at this time that Moraa wiped her face with the cloth before looking at them with a grim face.

"We have a big problem." She said hesitantly.

"If we have a problem, why don't you point it out to us. Do you think crying like a child can solve the problem?" Mboya glared at her indignantly.

"Mboya, the problem is really...big. I really thought we had succeeded but it seems our enemy is faster than we know he is..."

"Ma'am, please just go straight to the point." Mueni urged. She was also growing impatient.

"Okay... The Ordainer has been abducted." Seeing how the two could not even wait for a second, Moraa hurriedly said.

"What?" The two widened their eyes in shock.

"Yeah, the Ordainer has been abducted...and by the people from the dark world." Moraa nodded, looking at them bitterly.

"What?"

This time, Mboya even jumped unknowingly. He was so shocked that for a long time his mouth remained open for a few minutes.

"I thought with the Saint Witch making a move personally, we would do away with the work of Lord of darkness once and for all, but it seems, not only did we fail, he even succeeded in taking the Ordainer to the dark world. This makes Ochieng' the first Ordainer to go to that world. To make the matter worse, he has gone there because he has been taken away from us by the Lord of Darkness, who is his main enemy." Moraa shook her head in regret.

"What are we going to do now?"

Mboya was quick to recover from his shock. Knowing how serious things were getting, he asked with a solemn face.

"I don't know." Moraa answered blatantly.

This left Mueni and Mboya speechless. They all started pacing within the compartment with both hands akimbo and with heads lowered, sometimes lifted. This was really a heavy news.

After about a minute, they heard a bell ring from the floor just above them.

"Let us go."

Moraa did not even wait for the bell to stop. She beckoned the two before rushing out of the compartment. The fourth floor of the Hall of Righteousness was where all the wizards and witches met their head. This was really a rare occurrence since every person in the hall was always busy in his own way. All was to find a way of leaving a mark on Keniya before dying or even before being promoted to a Saint. Some even wanted to accompany the Ordainer in his quest for that was the greatest honour for a chosen wizard or witch; though many died without succeeding, so few chose this path. After all, only the most dedicated always got the opportunity to be by the Ordainer's side. Al in all, it is understandable that all did not even have time to eat sometimes, needless to say meeting their head all the time.

Nonetheless, the head of the hall was the most powerful wizard living, it was also a source of happiness for all those working in the hall to see him personally. When the bell rang, everyone stopped whatever they were doing and rushed to the fourth floor.

Most of them were in the middle of cantrips. Being summoned ment stopping in the middle. That led to serious consequences, most of which were irrecoverable. This was the main reason why the head of the hall hardly met his colleagues. For him to invite them to the fourth floor, there had to be a serious reason. It was also the main reason no one hesitated upon hearing the sound of the bell.

It did not take long before everyone was in the fourth floor. It was a large hall with almost nothing inside. It had a small platform at the front. That is where the head of the hall stood as he addressed his people. Apart from the entrance door at the back, there was another door at the front but was covered with exquisite curtains. The few nicely crafted windows scattered all over the walls giving light to the hall.

As soon as everyone stood quietly, a man appeared from beyond the curtains in front.
