After absorbing moonlight for about three hours, Ethan's body was completely healed.
He stood up from the ground, marveled by how such severe injuries were cured in just a matter of three hours.
" Amon this is amazing!"
" This is just the tip of the iceberg Ethan, there's much more wonders to come around," Amon said with a proud smile.
Hearing his words, Ethan nodded. There was no denying that the supernatural world was truly something different. I mean it literally has the word super in it's name.
After admiring his completely healed body long enough, Ethan looked at Amon and an expression of ferocity fully etched on to his face.
" I've not known you for very long Ethan, but judging by the ferocious look in your eye, I'd say you want to do something bad," Amon said with a smirk that revealed his sharp fangs.
" I want to kill one," Ethan said menancingly.
" Kill what?" Amon asked, but it seemed like he already knew what Ethan was about to say.
" Hyper...I want to to kill a hyper shadow beast," Ethan said with eyes filled with menance.
It was because of that beast that he was forced into a corner.
It was because of that beast that he almost died.
And it was because of that beat that he felt WEAK!!
" You want to kill a hyper shadow beast. Then you have to be strong enough to even stand in front of it's power," Amon said solemnly.
" Then teach me. Teach me how to fight. How to never cower in fear again. And how to protect those that I love," Ethan said with a determined exppression.
" Then let us begin your journey. This is where your journey truly begins," Amon said with a smile. Now he knew that yes his host used to be weak, but now he was hungry. Hungry for strength, and ready to fight for what and who he loves. The Heavens have truly granted me a worthy host.
" Well then, you know where to go. It's day time so the forest would be shadow free," Amon said. He felt that Ethan might feel a bit afraid of going into the forest again after such a battle.
Ethan smiled and rushed off into the forest.
As they arrived at the forest, Ethan found a clear patching of trees and decided to begin his training here.
" So what now?" He asked. It was time for Amon to become his teacher.
Amon smiled at his students enthusiasm," Don't get so excited. This is going to be hard. And get ready this might be what you would be doing every... single... day,"
With a determined exppression, Ethan nodded, ready for any challenge. He could feel himself changing, but there was nothing he could do about that, maybe this cahnge was good or bad, only time would tell.
" First of all: Try to connect with the blood in your body. Feel it course through your body like water flowing in a stream,"
Listening to Amon's guidance, he began by drawing in the blood flowing through his veins. He concentrated, feeling it shift and swirl within him, a warm, pulsing energy that responded to his call.
" What do I do now?" He asked, trying to keep his bond with the blood.
" Now make it bend to your will. Turn it into something. Like maybe a protective armour around your organs,"
As he heard Amon's words, Ethan began trying to bend the blood to his will. He concentrated on the connection he had to his blood. And with a flick of his will, he commanded the blood to crystallize, shaping it like armor around his organs. It felt strange but comforting, encasing him in a protective layer that made him feel invincible.
Feeling the crystalized blood protecting his organs, Ethan became curious of what else he could achieve.
He opened his mouth slightly and, with a focused effort, let a thin stream of blood trickle forth. It glimmered in the sunlight as he manipulated it, forming it into sharp knives and daggers that hung in the air. He tried to control them but for some reason, they would just stand there in the air.
"Ethan concentrate. Even though they're out of your body, try to make them yours. They are still just blood," Amon said,as he tried to remind Ethan to concentrate.
Hearing his words, Ethan took in a deep breath as he narrowed his eyes in concentration.
One by one, he began launched the blood weapons toward a sturdy oak tree standing sentinel at the edge of the clearing. But time and time again, the daggers would steer off course, harmlessly landing onto the ground or missing the tree entirely, and flying off somewhere.
Frustration began to bubble within him, but he refused to give up, he kept on trying but he would always miss.
" Ethan, stop shooting like you're throwing a dart. These weapons are not in your palms at the moment, their In the air. Meaning you cantrol them through will power. Focus on the trajectory," Amon's voice echoed in his mind. "Picture where you want them to go."
Determination began to brew in his heart, along with the possibility of a future where he wouldn't have to bow anymore. And so with that he continued.
For five hours, he continued this ritual of launching, missing, and adjusting.
Sweat dripped from his brow, but he pressed on, the cool forest air fueling his resolve. Every time each of his attempt failed, he felt his frustration slowly leave. It was being replaced by a growing sense of understanding and comprehensivity.
The relationship between intention and action was delicate, and he was beginning to understand it.
"Just visualize it, Ethan," Amon encouraged, appearing as a shimmering specter beside him. "You're connecting with the blood stream. in you, there is power. Unlock it!"
Ethan took a deep breath and closed his eyes, picturing the daggers soaring through the air, slicing cleanly toward their target.
He felt the energy within him swell up and, with a renewed sense of purpose, he launched another blood dagger.
This time, it flew true, hitting and embedding itself deep into the oak tree.
"Yes!" he shouted, excitment coursing through him. "I did it!"
Amon nodded approvingly. "Now, keep going. Try to control more than one at a time."
Ethan's excitement surged as he summoned several more daggers, launching them all in a flurry. They flew in perfect formation, leaving a trail of glimmering red streaks of light in their wake.
Each strike felt like a victory, a proof of his growing mastery over his abilities.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, Ethan decided to shift his focus to another part of his training.
He made blood flow out of his skin and envisioned a spear forming from the blood he released from his body, feeling the familiar warmth spread through him.
He couldn't understand why, but he preferred the spear to any other type of weapon. He felt like the spear resonates with him the most.
The transformation was seamless though.
He could feel the spear solidify in his grip. He practiced thrusts and jabs for as long as he could.
It was almost like the spear was becoming an extension of himself. After some time, he realized why he preferred the spear to other weapons. it felt powerful and versatile.
"A spear is a weapon of control," he said to himself, practicing its various forms.
Then he suddenly decided to try something else.
He transformed the spear in his hands into a shield. feeling the rush of energy as the blood reshaped itself around his arm, then back into a spear, mastering his skills further.
As night fell and the stars twinkled above, Ethan found himself immersed in his training, the existence of time blurring around him. Half of the day had been spent honing his blood manipulation skills. Now for the remaining half, he would learn.
He decided to dedicate a part of the night to studying blood itself. He had buried himself in books, eager to learn everything he could about the substance that flowed within him and connected him to his powers.
The moon had already risen, casting a silvery glow over the forest, pursuing him to absorb its light.
Ethan stood at the edge of the clearing, feeling the moonlight wash over him, invigorating his spirit. He inhaled deeply, allowing the lunar energy to seep into his very being, replenishing his strength and healing the fatigue that had settled in his bones.
After a while, his energy had been restored, and so he decided to push the limits of his werewolf abilities.
He used his supernatural speed to race back to his house, and without pausing, he jumped unto the rooftop of his house.
Hisheart racing with excitement and trepidation. He had seen others leap from great heights in movies, and he was determined to do the same.
With a deep breath, he jumped off the roof. The world blurring around him as he fell.
Pain shot through him as he landed awkwardly, bones cracking under the impact. But he refused to let it discourage him.
He focused on the healing powers within, absorbing more moonlight until he felt the fractures mend and his body reform.
"Let's try that again," he said, adrenaline pumping through him. This time, he leapt with more confidence, landing gracefully on the ground below, unharmed.
The thrill of success surged through him, igniting a wild sense of freedom. Ethan dashed through the forest, every step fueled by the moonlight coursing through his veins. He was faster than he had ever been, the wind whipping through his hair as he raced between the trees.
The sensation was intoxicating; he felt like a part of the forest itself, a creature of the night. As he ran, he discovered another aspect of his transformation. One he had been looking forward to. The ability to elongate his nails ( make his nails grow longer), creating sharp, claw-like appendages. They were not as long as a regular wolf's, but at least they were better than that of a human's, and besides they felt powerful.
" Shit!"
He realized he couldn't make them go back to normal at will, a detail that worried him a lot.
Sneaking back into the house, he grabbed a nail clipper and wasted five precious minutes carefully trimming his nails. The boring act felt strange, but it was necessary. He couldn't let his parents or anyone discover the new changes he was undergoing.
The night wore on, and Ethan continued his attempts at transforming into a wolf. He focused on the images in his mind, the sensations of fur and power, but each attempt ended in frustration.
Amon tried to guide him but it just wasn't working.
He could feel the beast within him stirring but couldn't quite grasp it. As the hours slipped by, he found himself enraptured in the process, determined to succeed.
With each moment, he felt the connection to his werewolf side strengthening, but the physical transformation eluded him.
But he just couldn't get it right.
An hour before dawn, Ethan returned home, exhausted but exhilirated.
He showered and immediately prepared for school, unaware of the changes that had taken place overnight.
Some strands of his hair on his head had taken changed to red in colour.
His once frail body had changed into a slender, muscular build, making him appear strikingly handsome. As he looked in the mirror, he caught a glimpse of the transformation he had undergone,a mixture of human and beast, a reflection of his journey thus far.
With a determined smile, he stepped out of the house, ready to face whatever challenges awaited him at school, unaware of the storm brewing within and around him.
