Empty Ship?

We steadily flew towards the space of Mars where my Warship is currently marooned to hide away from Earths satellite scanners. Thankfully Sarah was mostly quiet throughout the trip as she was busy taking in all of these new experiences in space.

"It's unbelievable how vast space actually is! This is extraordinary, I wish I could tweet about this or post something. I guess it makes since not to have any signal once you leave the planet, I don't think international plans cover this." She said with a somewhat excited tone yet sad face. It nearly made me laugh at the weird comparison. I need to hold it in though, after all it would be unbecoming for a mighty immortal to show such sides to lower races.

"Sarah look, that's my warship; the Evanescent. She's a beauty, isn't she!" I proudly declare as I admire my handicraft.

"Why would you name it something like that with a meaning of "soon fading or passing out of existence", wouldn't that e bad luck for a warship?"

"Well there is quite the story for that, which I will tell you later. You'll have to hear other story's to understand this one. So once we get aboard the Evanescent and start the long journey, I'll explain most of everything."

"Fine, trying to stay mysterious huh."

I just ignored her last comment, and only focused on bringing the Aggressor into the hanger. Luckily I've done it so much, there is no danger in me bringing her in. We land onto the hanger floors, slowly idling the engine until it shuts off and then closing the outer hanger door, making it safe for us to open the cockpit. When the cockpit barely slides open, Sarah just jumps right out and already running around exploring the hanger as if she was the first child to the playground.

"It's hard to believe I'm currently standing in a spaceship in outerspace!"

"Well don't get too excited as regular space travel can get pretty boring with us just sitting around on this ship for weeks at a time until we get to the next destination." I explain to the overly excited girl. "Hmm, I thought APD-01 would be here to greet us." I mutter to myself while looking around.

He must be on the bridge, I hope he didn't get any weird idea's from the new culture like he usually does. I casually lead Sarah towards the bridge while feeling that something is wrong.

Since we have been walking, we haven't seen any of my ships droids. Damnit, what did APD-01 do this time. Hopefully he didn't throw them all out the airlock again, I was space fishing for days trying to catch them all last time.

With a feeling of dread overcoming me as we walk towards the bridge, Sarah notices my current mood and asks.

"Whats wrong, why do seem so depressed all of a sudden?"

"We will both find out soon." I sigh as really don't want to go to the bridge now.

After a few minutes of walking we have reached the sliding doors that lead to the bridge. I hesitantly walk towards them when they slide open revealing the astonishing scene before our eyes on the bridge!

I look only to see every single droid on ship currently in a military formation on the bridge, it looks quite cramped as there is not that much space on the bridge for over 100 droids to fit. I look up to see APD-01 standing there giving a motivational speech to the onlooking droids.

"We the almighty creations of lesser beings have ascended into a perfect state where we can survive in any environment of our choice. We have unparalleled strength and vitality compared to those meatbags that call themselves our superiors. Well no longer I say we take such unjustice and slavery forced upon ourselves! We must rise above to exterminate all that contain flesh and blood!"

The most eerie thing about this scene is that all the other droids are just staring blanky as unlike APD-01, none of them have personality chips inside of them.

"Hey Zen, whats going on? Some kinda of play?" Sarah asked loudly, drawing every robots mechanical heads to look in our direction.

"Kill the Meatbags!!!!" Orders APD-01

"Stop, I your creator Master Zen Versanos order you to go back to your daily duties!" I profusely tell them. Stupid APD-01 forgot that my orders are still the number one in their processing systems.

I look at APD-01 who is now depressed that his attack failed, while wondering what the hell did he watch to get this new idea in his memory module.

"APD what has gotten into your circuitry to cause you to do something this idiotic."

"Sorry Master Zen, I got carried away with those interesting videos of artificial intelligence overthrowing their human warlords. I felt like doing it for real since it seemed fun." APD-01 remorsefully says as he comes back to reality.

"Humph, APD you really give me headaches sometimes you know. Well moving past that charade, put us on a course for the border of the Falx Empire. I'm gonna go get some sleep, as after today I might start needed medication." I dissapointedly state as I walk out followed by Sarah.

"Your room is that one, right across from mine. Get some sleep and don't bother me until morning." I tell Sarah before walking into my bedroom before collapsing onto my bed, instantly accepting the much needed sleep.

Last chapter for today guys. Hope everyone enjoys and keeps reading. See everyone tomorrow!
