A little later that day, Kiki led her group into town. They blended well with the civilians. Never did anybody suspect them of being escaped prisoners. Dezzy managed to flirt with a few soldiers as though she was one of their own. It caused Nana to send out a thot alert, gaining laughter from players and AIs alike.
Vanessa enjoyed the humor but lost focus when she spotted a homeless girl sitting in the dirt. Her face was covered, but still recognizable.
She stood in front of the girls, staring down at her head, "Angelica"?
The girl rose her head, causing Vanessa to take a knee in front of her ghost. Angelica's face was dirty and bruised with a cut on the neck. Tears were nearly pouring from the poor girl's eyes. It appeared as though she was about to collapse.
Vanessa wiped Angelica's eyes before her own, "What happened"?
