The Hydra In The Swamp
A head snapped as though it was going to attack. The rookies jumped back, whimpering in contrast to the sturdy veterans. Hissing held their attention for another head to strike the opposite side.
Nana took the hit, getting pushed towards the formation's center. She stabbed at the head before it could pull back, nearly landing a fatal blow. Another was submerged, staring at her.
"Stay close!" shouted Kiki while directing, "Keep moving! It's trying to slow us down to surround us with its heads"!
Though they remained moving as a singular force, the hydra's scare tactic slowed them down. Only in a few instances did it strike, just to keep them in a state of urgency. It splashed its heads, sending arm-length riffles against them. With their movements disoriented, the players struggled to stay on course.
