Notes: I know my first 2 chapters are confusing. I literally give the first 65 chapters free. My story has a "Do now, explain later" rhythm to it. The characters you read on in the first two chapters get fleshed out in the next two chapters. So give it a chance. Also, this is not your typical trash Isekai. There is no boy getting hit by a truck. No heavy romance. No high dive online nonsense. No harem. No sex jokes thrown every chapter nor bouncing tits. No truck-kun. No getting trapped in the game. No matrix or any other corny stuff. My concept is not original. But I literally cannot think of 1 story out there that has it. ".........///////////" indicates a transition in scene or time. My story gets hectic. This will help a lot. Instagram Page: the_isekai_game follow for more info regarding The Isekai Game. Artist: Serah Fletcher aka gr0vey.art on Instagram

School's Out (May)

On the last day of school, within Vanessa and Jaivva's homeroom, Mr. Baptiste was sweating, "Now listen. This very serious," His Haitian accent was thicker than ever, "College is no joke. So make sure you take notes. And make sure you cheat. I cannot stress this enough. You need to cheat," his class laughed.

Jaivva rose her hand, "Mr. Baptiste, we're smart. We don't need to cheat".

"No!" he pointed at her, "You and your little white girlfriend here are smart. You two are fine," He shook his head, "The rest of you, no. I'm not your parents. I won't lie to you. Most of you here are dumb".

Vanessa smirked as she listened to his farewell speech. It was funny. And his accent made it funnier. However, the main thing on her mind was finally graduating and making it to the pro leagues.

A student rose his hand, "Mr. Baptiste, you know I was online reading a book and there was a teacher just like you? I think one of your students wrote about you".

"Oh really?" he took off his glasses and stared her in the eye, "What they said about me"?

She thought for a moment, "Something about your wife beating you I think".

He looked away, "All true things there," he pointed at the door, "Alright, everybody can leave," the students were storming out, "I need to find who writes about me".

In the hallway, Jaivva ran up on Vanessa, "Next stop, the June Event! And then"!

They both shouted, "The Pro Leagues"!

Vanessa held up a finger, "But first, May event and graduation".

"Which reminds me," Jaivva pulled a packet of papers from her backpack, "Did you read this"?

Vanessa's eyes widened, "Yes. Is scary," she pulled out a stack of papers from her bag, "It says we must consent to be hit by nerve agents".

"Are they going to gas us or something?" she was shaking her head, "Why are we having to consent to being gassed".

Vanessa began shouting, "And is a lot. Is too much these ones. Not super".

Jaivva shook her head, "Definitely not super. Let's skip out on graduation and get to the next scene so we can knock out the May theme".

Vanessa nodded, "Mhm".

Outside the Isekai Stadium during this last week of May, Logan held up a thick set of papers, "Why do I always get a bigger stack of papers to be signed. And why do they still ask for my mom's signature".

Dani held up her stack nearly as big as Logans, "I think it's to warn us about the gas and what not to do with it".

"In know that's what mines are about," Hakken raised a stack of papers nearly as big as Dani's.

Logan's eyes were wide and blinking, "You actually read these"?

Jaivva chuckled, "I think we all did Logan".

Andres shrugged, "Nope".

Faith shook her head, "I glanced through it".

Dani pouted, "I handed it over to I think Ms. Katz. Or somebody. It's signed though".

"I signed it," Logan smiled with his arms out.

"Congratulations Logan," Dani shook her head, "You want an ice pop"?

Jeff stood in front of his entire team, "Alright alright. Calm down. We'll turn these in when collecting our gear. So let's just get in there and beat this game. We have the strength and talents. We just need to push ourselves and not go down like a bunch of bitches. So think about that when you go in there. Think about life now and life later in the pro leagues. We're going to make it. It just takes a little bit more work from us before we're there," there was a radiance being emitted from his smile, "So let's do this".

From Logan who was smiling to Vanessa who kept looking down, they were all clapping and cheering. It was exciting for them to know they were walking into this theme as a team and beating it together. And with it being a community gun theme, they were sure to beat out the competition.

Andres stepped up with a big smile, "Before we go in," it withered away just a slight, "We all need to drop the beef. I'm serious. I've known Hakim and Logan for a while now. We have had our lows. But we always came together. Same with Jeff and Dani. This is it, guys," his arms were wide open, "We can't do this alone. We need each other. So let's squash it. No matter what it is. And let's finish this. it'll be fun. Loads of fun. Gun and musket themes are always fun. I know Logan has already taught you guys that it's during gun themes that players return to their roots in warfighting. Reason being is that you're less focused on these crazy magical attacks that all kill the enemy in a different way and more centered on the tactics behind actually killing the enemy," they felt the sincerity in his eyes, "So we'll take it slow, stick together, and knock this out of the park. When it's all done, we do want to start preparing for the June event. It will be an alchemy theme. So be prepared, because we are going to the pro leagues".

The cheers were louder. There was something in Andres' voice that the team felt. What bugged Vanessa though, was that Hakken didn't seem as ecstatic about it all. It made her wonder if there may be a problem with Hakken or Andres.

Logan smacked clapped louder than anyone, "I know that fat guy! I know him"!

Jeff smiled at his gun-ho team and led them through the front doors. They grabbed their gear which consisted of a mere suit. Their doors to enter the game area were all the same. After changing, they all walked down the halls as a team. Vanessa couldn't get over how thin her outfit was. It was similar to the November theme.

And with a deep breath at the door, Andres opened it up.
