Vanessa spun her body towards Dave, raising her dagger to parry his blade and swinging a kick with the momentum from her sprint. By the time her shin reached him, Dave had stepped in and pushed Vanessa into the corner of a building.
Nana grabbed Dave's blade-wielding arm and attempted to slice down his forearm. He brought his arm down without using his free hand and kneed Nana in her lungs. The force of his knee knocked her to his side and disrupted her from stabbing him.
With her grip firm, Nana rose up to stab into his dagger-wielding that she was holding. A quick yank and Dave feely countered her blade with his own.
"How the hell did he break out of my grip so easily?" Nana questioned in thought as she was slammed to face the sky.
