About a week later, after their party ended, Akira was sauntering through the base with his hands in his pockets. Akira had no idea what he wanted to do besides look around and train.
Akira then summoned the stone that Umi gave him while lying down in the field's grass. The stone reflected the sun as he observed the stone while facing the sun.
Rozori then suddenly appeared while giving a friendly wave at Akira.
"Yo, what are you holding there?"
"Oh, it's just a stone. A friend gave it to me and told me to keep it or do whatever I wanted with it." Akira sprang to his feet while showing Rozori the stone.
"Hmm? Woah, this is a sea gem!"
"Sea gem? If I would to remember, sea gems were blue..." From what Akira remembered, when he was rewarded for doing his missions, they gave him 17 sea gems at once. But looking closer at what he was holding, the texture appeared the same as when he felt like touching soap.
"Those are common sea gems. This is a rare sea gem. It could be sold for about 1,000,000 Gols." Rozori revealed its worth.
"It may look like it has an orange color, but it's a gold color. It's very good for refinement or enhancement and could be sold for an enormous amount of money. "
"WHA-" Akira was shocked by the price of the sea gem he was holding.
"So? Are you going to sell it or not? " Rozori knew where to sell it, but he needed to know what Akira's choice was.
Akira was in a thoughtful state about what he should do with the sea gem. Either he sold it or kept it.
Akira sighed and his choice was to keep it. It was Umi's legacy, and he felt that he had no right to sell it, even if she told him that he could use or sell it. Akira held tight to his choices, even if they would make him rich.
Rozori rubbed his head, and he was fine with his choices.
And with that being said, Akira wanted to know how to use the sea gems in his inventory. He wanted to refine his weapons and asked Rozori what he should do.
Rozori gave a nod, and he led Akira outside the base. But first, he had something in mind.
Rozori wanted to go to a mall and asked Akira if it was fine to lend some time for him to go shopping. Akira said yes, and they went to the mall.
The name of the mall was "Valcana Mall."
The mall was filled with many stores and many shops. Akira's eyes widened in awe. He had gone to a store before, but never went to a mall. It was big, it was wide, it was crowded, and more or less, it was very expensive.
Rozori then asked him to do a favor for him, namely, lift the shopping bags. Akira now wondered why he wanted to go to a mall.
"I'm her boyfriend now!" Rozori explained that he was now Erika's boyfriend.
"My reason being here was just a regular shopping." He wanted to shop to give her something precious and of high value.
"Apologies if it's troublesome for you, but as her boyfriend, I can't make a bad impression." Rozori apologized to Akira because he didn't want to be a disgrace in the role of a boyfriend who couldn't entertain his girlfriend.
"Sure, I don't mind. And congratulations!" Akira said it was fine and then they went along.
From there, the whole shop was eye-catching to Akira. His eyes sparkled brightly like stars as he explored the mall.
Rozori gave him a credit card for what he wanted to buy. The credit card held 700,000 Gols.
If Akira wanted to buy something, he could do whatever he wanted to buy. Rozori came from a rich family, so he didn't mind.
Rozori then left Akira and went alone on a shopping spree. He gave him his spare phone to call him on if he was confused or there was an error.
Akira didn't fully understand how a phone worked, so he kept it in his right-hand pocket.
The first thing Akira wanted to buy was some snacks. He had never tasted ice cream before, but it was very good, even in hot weather.
The coldness and the deliciousness made it hard to believe what a genius invention it was that someone had an idea to make this.
He tasted many varieties of ice cream, such as vanilla, red velvet, chocolate, strawberry, green tea, and many more in one scoop. It did give him a brain freeze afterward...
Sometime later, Akira went to the weapon store to buy new weapons. Since he had nothing to worry about being broke after spending a lot. He needed to purchase necessary weapons.
Each weapon had its name tags and price tags.
- Seraph bow (7,000 Gols)
- Liquitin blade ( 9,000 Gols)
- Maikin blade (11,000 Gols)
- Largunta Masrex bow (70,000 Gols)
- Nephastus sword (200,000 Gols)
- Claymore of Arazmis (110,000 Gols)
And many other varieties of weapons...
Akira gasped at the price of these weapons. He had no idea that it would cost this much, he was glad that he got free weapons from the system.
"So, kiddo, you wanna sell or buy?" Asked the owner of the store.
"I want that bow, the Largunta one!"
"Wise choice! Here you go!" The owner grabbed the bow and handed it over to him.
Though Akira never had experience with using a bow, he picked the expensive one. He was all over-curious about how to use it and wanted to try and practice someday.
Though he picked the expensive one for one reason too, it was very cool.
The Largunta Masrex bow was the most attractive in terms of appearance. The bow's figure was well made and had an ancient carving on the bow's wood. Its string was durable enough to withstand the beast's strength, much like a bear's grip.
The bow's appearance took the form of menacing red and black strips on each side. The bow was so big that it was the size of a regular table. Akira could lift it easily and could pull its strings with ease.
Compared to his scythe, his scythe had the same appearance but lacked brightness in the red color.
His scythe's blade had a dark red color on the flat surface of the blade; meanwhile, the bottom edge of the blade had a black color while the top of the blade had a very smooth white color. The snath was made of an unknown iron compared to a wooden snath.
Akira then purchased the bow and finally left the store. Akira had nothing in his mind but to be impatient with using the bow he purchased earlier.
Akira then sat on the bench while waiting for Rozori to finish. From there, he looked at the sky while trying to relax. He then felt something odd.
Akira noticed before that he was in the sea dungeon. He realized whenever he fought or killed any monsters, he never saw the system show the monster's ranks or description like it usually did.
Akira shouted "system," but the system didn't respond.
Akira was perplexed and tried again. It made him stand up, as he was relaxing at that time.
Akira shouted three times but got no response. Akira scratched his head while the people looked at him all confused. Akira giggled while rubbing his head and leaving the limelight.
While he was walking, he wanted to test if the system still worked. He stored his new large weapon in the weapon summoning (large). It functioned properly but never responded to his calls. Akira was baffled as to why the system had errors.
He believed that it had never occurred like this before. Unless it was a common thing for a system to be broken.
Akira sighed and continued on the search for Rozori. He then found Rozori carrying shopping bags.
The smell was very fragrant and very strong from those bags he carried, which made Akira stay away. Rozori laughed and explained that it was a perfume.
Akira couldn't understand why he wanted to buy Erika a perfume. He thought it was a mockery of her because she smelled very bad.
Rozori yelled at Akira silently, "NO IT'S NOT!". Rozori explained that it was a very common female thing that he had never understood. Rozori bought perfumes, flowers, food, gems, and other cosmetics.
Rozori was about to call Akira, but he canceled it. He wanted to buy some clothes and dresses for her. But he never asked what dress best suited her taste.
Rozori was finally finished and went to the place where he promised Akira. At first glance, the place was very creepy and filled with mystery. The place was called "The Witches' Shop." Akira went in, and the place was filled with potions, cauldrons, and magical items as well as witches' equipment.
From there, there was a table with magical writings that looked like those in a grimoire. Rozori told Akira to go closer and pick one of his weapons to enhance. Each enhancement would need seven sea gems or more, depending on which category.
Akira chose his scythe, and he was asked to place the scythe on the table. Akira put in nine sea gems, and the gems glowed brightly blue. The gems then fused with the scythe, and finally, the sea gems were gone. Rozori explained that the scythe was now stronger. To put it simply, the scythe strength was 10,000 and now it had increased to 50,000. So, if Akira had 100,000 strengths, Akira's strength after he received the bonus would be 150,000.
Akira looked at his scythe and it was slightly heavy but he still could lift it with ease. He thanked Rozori and now they went to the base after Rozori paid the store owner...
And with that, Akira finally refined his weapon. However, he was still thinking about what happened to his system...
Note: Common sea gems are costed for 10,000 gols.
The rarest sea gems are purple sea gems.
