Teamwork!

Akira and Volts agreed to work as a team and faced off against the metamorians that could now regenerate. Volts touched Akira's back, and Akira inquired what was wrong.

[ELECTRICITY MAGIC: SHOCK BOOST]

Volts provided him with his electricity magic and completely empowered him. Akira's strength and speed increased while his body became as light as a feather.

"Don't disappoint me for I have given you my trust. Don't get me wrong, I only accept this teamwork so we can defeat those hideous creatures. You hear me?" Volts believed in Akira and gave him a spark of his powers.

"Heh, you betcha! Glad you can cooperate." Akira smiled with delight after seeing Volts giving him a slight of trust.

Volts' mana was dwindling, but he still had some. He devised a strategy, one of which was to depart the area. Akira didn't inquire further and continued on with his plans.

[ELECTRICITY MAGIC: SHOCK SPEED: 50%]

Volts was granted 12 seconds to maintain this form, as he stated. He then informed Akira of his remaining endurance. With a nod, Akira flashed out of the place.

The Metamorians pursued them, and each of them was pursued by five Metamorians. Akira and Volts ran at the same speed, which was sufficient to outrun the Metamorians. They then split off to pursue them in different directions.

Akira slowed them down with his blood slash. It worked, but they then regenerated. Volts, on the other hand, accelerated rapidly until abruptly stopping.

He was finally apprehended by the Metamorians. They swung their fists towards Volts, raising their hands in the air. They smashed the ground as their fist was ready to land, but Volts vanished.

[100,000 VOLTS]

The tables have turned. He lured them into his trap and stunned them with 100K volts of electricity. He used the electricity from a big transformer that he had sensed before. He could now use electricity with a voltage greater than 80 kilovolts. As he absorbed every ounce of the energy, his mana was totally refilled, and he was floating with an electric aura all over his body.

The metamorians were burned but healed themselves right after. They then proceeded to attack Volts. Volts teleported and spammed his 20K volts. He was aware that these creatures could regenerate, so he lowered the amount of use and bought some time, knowing the limits of what this power generator could give him. He also believed that they were also called humans, so they would still need mana to regenerate. 

Akira and Volts then regrouped with each other and worked together. They stood up and fought by spamming their magic.

[BLOOD MAGIC X ELECTRICITY MAGIC: FRENZY BLOOD SLASH X ELECTROCUMULYTS]

The Volts and Akira combined their attacks by shocking the Metamorians and immobilizing them as Akira slashed diagonally right and left repeatedly. The more damage they received, the more mana they would use. 

Akira and Volts stepped away as they were cautiously aware of their annoying regenerative ability.  The man came to them and applauded them for staying alive.

"Bravo! Bravo! You actually managed to stay alive. But how unfortunate that you will die right here and now. Don't worry after your demise, I'll make use of you by turning into a Morian and will forever be my puppets" The man grinned.

Akira and Volts held their ground to fight against them.

The man facepalmed while laughing that It was futile to fight against them.

Akira and Volts didn't give up but continued to attack the metamorians again.

Akira launched another blood slash and swung his scythe as he chopped them down. Volts struck them with high voltage output and electrocuted them all. Volts ran out of time as his mana was about to run out.

Akira ordered Volts to flee from this area. Volts agreed and fled alongside Akira.

Akira jumped from building to building alongside Volts. Volts started chatting and questioned him about the past events.

"You! Can you tell me another reason why? You trusted me." Volts questioned.

"What do you mean?" Akira was confused by the sudden question.

"Why did you save me? And when we fought, you were holding back against me."

"As I said, you already deserved it. The fact that you're still alive was because they cared about you, and also, I don't want to hurt you." Akira answered with his reasons. He still didn't understand why Volts was being awkward about not trusting good deeds.

"I understood that but why? After I tried to kill you, and you still trust me?"

"Now you're acting strange. I don't care what you did, we're friends. In fact, I'm still alive. So there's no need to be pessimistic about something and blame it all on yourself." Akira answered and stated that they were friends.

"Friends?" Volts's eyes widened.

"You don't know, huh? For once, I thought that you might be smarter, but I guess you are an idiot too. Then let me enlighten you! Friends save each other, protect each other, and help each other. So I thought of you as a friend, and so let's focus on this first. We'll chat later!" Akira stopped the conversation.

Right after they were just finished talking, the Metamorians fired their blast and hit Volts. The boost that Volts gave to him disappeared, and Volts was injured which made him fall to the rooftop. Seconds as he crashed, Akira launched himself at Volts. Volts's back was damaged and burned.

[BLOOD MAGIC: HEALING]

Volts grumbled, and his back was healed as Akira used his blood magic on him. His body began to tremble violently when Akira healed him, and he felt weak. Akira appeared to be out of mana. because he was abusing his abilities from the recent fights and missions. Akira's body started to break down, and he knelt. He knelt down and told Volts to get out of here. However, Volts disobeyed.

When the man realized Akira was out of mana, he chuckled. Volts fought with himself and charged his electricity. The metamorians were then ordered to kill them by the man. The metamorians' upper bodies disintegrated when a huge laser beam was fired straight at them

"Sorry for the long wait!" Rozori came to their aid.

Rozori floated In the air with a green aura around his body and his palm glowed brightly while facing straight.

"You!?" The man gritted his teeth with frustration after he saw Rozori.

"A commander huh... this will be interesting." The man finally grinned as he was intrigued to know the fights of a metamorians and a commander.

"Hate to interrupt your fights but, I won't forgive those who hurt my juniors!" Rozori glared.

Volts lifted Akira upon his shoulder and dragged him further away.

"Let me show you how a commander fights. Watch closely, you both." Rozori smirked, voiced a tone of pride in his abilities.

"You won't be cocky until you meet your demise. A-21 to A-26, engage!" The man ordered to kill him at once.

Rozori didn't flinch and blasted off a blast twice their size (240cm).

The man was flabbergasted and started to command all of them.

"A-21 to A-37, engage!" He commanded all of them at once to fight Rozori.

Volts and Akira were about to witness Rozori's true power as they rested.
