The first step? Let's talk about it tomorrow

"Are you truly serious about staying true to your word?"

"Of course I am. Once I've completed what I came here for, you can rule this kingdom on your own."

"Okay, fine! What's the first step in completing what you came here for."

Hearing her Felix turned silent for a while and pondered about it. Because even though he received the next mission, he still hadn't come up with a perfect idea to do it.

Looking at Felix like this, Amy felt that he was trying very hard to make something up.

"The first step? Let's talk about it tomorrow."

"Why tomorrow? Aren't the both of us free the whole day?"

"Of course not. The two of us are going to be very busy throughout the whole night."

Hearing Felix a weird expression formed in Amy's face as she looked at Felix who was grinning at her.

"Huh...How? "

The second she said those words, Amy instantly regretted it. Because the next moment, Felix who was sitting in front of her, jumped on her.

Pushing Amy's back onto the bed, Felix gently removed the red veil covering her face.

"By doing our duty as husband and wife, of course."

Saying so Felix didn't make a move and looked at Amy's face that was flashing with countless emotions.

"This was never part of the deal! How could having sex with me get you closer to your goal?"

"Indeed it might not get me closer to my goal. However, there's no way, I, Felix, would marry a woman and not have sex with her!"

Speaking in a righteous toke as if he was holding up the law of the whole world, Felix looked at Amy who sighed and nodded her head. 

"Fine. Do what you want, but just don't go back on your words."

Seeing this, Felix began thinking that Amy had a very weird personality.

Just for the chance of ruling this kingdom, she was willing to even put her body on the line. That too when there wasn't any guarantee that she would ever truly obtain what she wants.

"Tell me, what's so great about this kingdom that you're willing to go this far to obtain it?"

Not expecting Felix to care about such a thing, Amy just stared at him for a while before she began saying her story.

"Though this kingdom doesn't have anything great enough for me to lose my mind over, I need to rule this kingdom! Because only through that would I be able to control my own life!"

"Ever since it was found that my sister had more talent than me, everyone stopped caring about what I wanted. And instead started seeing me for what they could obtain by using me."

"Just like with this marriage. I was never even asked if I agree to this marriage. I was just told that they found me a talented husband, and I should serve him well."

"After so many years of having decisions made for me, and not even having my opinion cared for, I figured out that as long as I rule this stupid kingdom, not only would I be in control of my own life. But every single one living in this kingdom."

Despite how ambitious Amy sounded about ruling the kingdom and controlling the lives of everyone, Felix failed to find any such feelings in her eyes.

Instead, he felt that she was a lonely person that just wanted some acknowledgement.

"Amy. You're not alone anymore."

"What...what are you saying?"

Unable to understand why Felix was saying such a thing out of nowhere, Amy's heart skipped a beat. 

"You are not alone anymore. I am right here beside you. Forever."

Hearing Felix, Amy didn't say anything and just looked at him. 

"Really?"

Somehow managing to choke out a single word, Amy looked at Felix with eyes that were filled with hope. While at the same time her face looked fragile and delicate as if she would start crying from one wrong answer.

"Yes."

Once Felix said those words, Amy spread her arms wide and hugged Felix as she started crying her eyes out.

For all these years she just wanted someone to say they notice her, and care for her. Instead of telling her what they want from her.

And now that Felix said those words, Amy felt like she no longer cared about anything.

As for Felix, even he didn't know why he cares so much for Amy. Originally he just wanted to use her and finish the mission fast, but as he heard her story he started feeling sympathy for her. 

Despite being so sure that he was a player who cared for no one other than a few special women, Felix himself couldn't understand why he had suddenly turned like this. 

Was he becoming too sentimental? 

No! 

If that was the case he couldn't be able to bear having sex with so many married woman and mothers last night, without being drowned in guilt. 

So that could only mean that Amy was someone special, and this was why he cared for her as well. 

Maybe it was, because he married her?

Yes, that must be it. Since he married her, Felix cared for her.

For the next hour or so neither of them moved, and Amy kept on hugging Felix while being reluctant to let go. Luckily Felix had changed positions and was on the bottom, due to which he didn't feel too awkward and waited until Amy was ready to move.
