Surprise Date (I)

"Doing sweet stuff for me. Is it because you hurt me or… do you still want me to be part of your life?"

His gaze is still focused on my eyes yet I can't read what's in his mind by how he blankly looks at me. He sighs and switches his position, crouches beside me. Then, he grabs my hands and grasps them around them. My heart pounds when his lips curve into a smile, knowing that his smile is my weakness. 

"I thought I made that clear. Mia, I'm doing this because I… I like you and I want to be part of your life, again but this time, it's different. I want to ask you out." 

My eyes wide at his sudden confession. I can't believe that he straightforwardly responded. But at some point, it gives me an idea from his action and he wants to make up with me... No, more than that…

He wants to date me… 

"After your duty, I'll take you to my hometown."

"Hometown? I thought this is your hometown?"
