Somehow, Asmodeus and I managed to get to the palace in the third territory before Callisto. My eyes were still fixed on the blond man's wings that looked more like dragon wings.

"What is it?" he asked me with a raised eyebrow.

"Nothing" I spoke sketching a small smile "I'm just thinking that your wings are pretty."

He smiled, a debauched smile.

"I know they are. I am an albino dragon after all."

He was right, that ironically made a lot of difference.

Dragons were rare, but albino dragons were like one in a million. A divine answer, like a blessing given by ancient beings, and Asmodeus was the last albino dragon known to exist at the present time.

"Right, right..." I grumbled "but we still need to get down."

I had barely finished speaking and someone knocked on the door. Once and then twice.

"Miss?" A familiar voice called out to me and I grunted as Asmodeus snapped his fingers and undid the spell that existed over us.

"Yes?" I replied pulling on one of my sweaters and tossing the clothes that were in the air.

The demon laughed as he picked up the piece of brown cloth and threw it into a black hole.

"Need some help there?" he joked as he sat down on my bed, but all he got in response was a fleeting glance.

"This is no time to joke" I grumbled as the maid said.

"The king wishes to see you."

Asmodeus laughed softly.

"Of course he does."

I sighed.

"Tell the king that... I will come soon" I spoke as I released my hair from the messy braid that Asmodeus had pinned it into, but the sound of the door opening took me totally by surprise.

"No need," Callisto's voice startled me and I jumped in front of the mirror, turning my face to face him.

There he was, standing in front of the door with his arms crossed over his chest as he looked at Asmodeus - lying on my bed wearing only baggy pants and completely disheveled blond hair.

"Hello, your majesty" the demon hissed and I could see something in his quartz eyes sparkle.

Was that irritation?

No, I must have been misunderstanding.

"Your majesty" I spoke as I bowed briefly "what has brought you here?"

Callisto stared at me, his lips frowning.

"I heard that... there was trouble in Lucifer's territory" he said as if he had been thinking about that answer for a long time, but that wasn't good.

After all the only reason he knew about it was Elaine... so how? Had things gone faster this time? It would be months before she had this conversation with Callisto. So how the hell had he found out?

I bit my lip hard.

"And..." he turned his attention back to the demon on my bed "could you tell me why the prince of the ninth territory is here?"

Asmodeus smiled, a wide, debauched smile.

A smile that was irritating to anyone who didn't like him.

"Ué" he briefly raised his head "isn't the answer obvious?"

I felt something encircle my hip, a small oriental dragon that entwined my waist like it was its favorite place in the whole world and as it rested its small head on my thigh it growled in the king's direction.

Callisto drew his eyebrows together and after a short moment of silence, Asmodeus purred.

"Asra asked me for a favor, so I granted it."

The king stared at me as if expecting me to deny such a fact. As if he expected that something was terribly wrong.

But what did he expect? That Asmodeus had kidnapped me? Frankly, that was too ridiculous even for the theater that existed between him and Asra.

I smiled.

"It's true. I knew there was trouble in Lucifer's territory" I spoke shrugging "but I also knew I couldn't handle it all by myself, so..."

"So she called me" the blonde demon whispered teasingly.

It was almost as if it was shouting at the king "she called me and not you".

It was like a playground of spoiled children seeking attention.

I sighed.

"Well, we will investigate gradually, but... since we just arrived, we only had time to rest and were thinking of getting ready and going out later."

Callisto approached, his steps wide enough to reach me in less than 7 seconds.

"And by any chance are there any rooms missing in Lucifer's castle?" he asked looking cornered at Asmodeus who insisted on staying in my bed, but the blond just laughed and answered before me.

"Actually, no, but I confess that I like to sleep with the smell of Asra, it's so... cozy" the prince purred like a sly cat and before Callisto could stare at him or start something stupid I held his arm and smiled.

"He was tired and came to help me."

The king stared at me in disbelief, but in the end I didn't expect him to believe me, I just needed him not to fuck up my roll.

"Then go" Callisto said without looking at the prince and I saw Asmodeus raise one of his eyebrows in total disbelief.

He wouldn't leave except in case I told him to go, so I nodded.

"See you later..." I spoke and gently stroked the dragon on my hip "and you'd better take the little one, I can't take care of him alone."

"Really" the king murmured "better you take... this thing."

The prince sighed and with some trepidation rose from the bed and walked towards me.

"See you later, little devil" Asmodeus murmured kissing my forehead and flicking his eyes at Callisto before leaving.

"Good night, Asmodeus" I replied with a smile before he walked out the door.

"Well?" I heard Calisto murmur and now, he was looking at me intently, almost as if he was searching me for any hurt. Any sign of change.

I sighed.

"I'm fine" I said sitting up in bed "I told you I wouldn't be sitting up."

He leaned back against the wall.

"I know..."

I nodded.

"Then come back."

He raised one of his eyebrows.

"How's that?"

"Come home, you have a child to take care of and I can handle this on my own, well..." I smiled "with Asmodeus."

He stared at me, his lips curled.

"Don't worry about my son and I'm not going anywhere."

He was annoyed, but what had I done to make him like this? It was getting more and more complicated to understand that damn demon.
