The news of Alec’s adventure in the Abyss has inspired many first-year mages to seek permission to enter the Abyss themselves.
However, most of them were still denied by their Instructors.
When they attempted to protest, their masters issued a challenge to all mages who wanted to enter the Abyss passage without a Tier 3 Mage as their leader.
The task was to retake the entrance test and outperform Alec in the test of the Fighting Pavilion Tower.
If they were successful in clearing it, their masters would have no objections to letting them into the Abyss passage, as it would mean they could take care of themselves .
