Chapter 9: Escape

Inside the Dying Land, in a particular place.

A beautiful woman can be seen walking in a leisure way, unbothered by any possible danger that might come through her way.

"Mother said that in every ancient ground, the treasure and beast will mostly occur after ten days it opened. So that is to say, I should not be wasting my energy before the time comes." Sofia said as she walks happily while eating the fruits in her hand.

The fruits were colored in violet and has a hexagon shape. The fruit has a sweet and sour taste that make Sofia loved it. She found it in coincidence while walking through the forest.

"Well, let's just explore this ancient ground before I get treasure in 10 days." Sofia said as she let her mind set a goal.

Sofia walks the forest with enthusiasm as she already picked a lot of various fruits with special effects. Her spatial ring was almost filled with fruits and herbs she picked that she passed through.

After a day of same routine, coincidentally, she reach a certain tree that looks magnificent.

The tree was super tall and so big. Its leaves have different colors and shapes. On its surface, there can be found numerous patterns that looks mysterious. The tree also exudes a faint green light and peculiar aura.

The tree only have a fruit and was placed on its top. The fruit is in decagon shape with colorful peel.

"Woah!! That.. that fruit is amazing! I want to have it!" Sofia, who's munching on the fruit in her hands halt for a moment before being mesmerized with the 'Sky Multi-Colored Divine Fruit'.

Sofia was about to touch the tree when a sudden invisible wave pushed her for a few meters.

"Dare to get this fruit? You must die!" An angry voice bellowed as Sofia become startled. The voice has a strong suppresion effects that makes Sofia lost her interest in getting the fruit.

She can fight for it, but it's only three days, so better not waste her energy and if possible, she can just go back at it.

"No. I don't dare. Sorry for disturbance." Sofia said as she walk away from the tree.

"What?.. Wait! Do.. Don't my fruit not attractive to you?" The voice was surprised since it didn't meet this kind of person for thousand of years.

Every person who should see ots fruit would be mesmerized and want to get it, but this girl, just after hearing its voice lost her interest. Though the tree spirit can't see, but it can detect the emotion in a person's heart. The excitement from before instantly vanished and was replaced by disappointment.

The tree spirit was shocked that it can't accept it! How dare that woman not want its fruit!

"Well, yeah. I don't want to waste my breath at this early." Sofia said perfunctorily.

"You! But my fruit is valuable as a god level herbs!" The tree spirit tempted Sofia.

"Then the more not want to get it. Too strong is not beneficial for my body. Although opportunity must not let go, but one must also know their own capabilities. With my current state, would you think I be able to eat your fruit? No! It would only create trouble for me since I would be the strong one's target. So you're a no for me." Sofia said may words in a breath that attack the tree spirit.

It seems that the girl was too smart for it to be tricked. The tree spirit were never amazed before as it was now.

"Well, do you dare to have me?" The tree spirit never seen a person like this and like Sofia very much. Not only because Sofia is smart, but the kindness and good-will in her jeart was pure and untainted. Her virtuous is too much that almost reach the heavens.

"Eh? But.. why? I never seen a treasure to want get captured on its will." Spfia was really surprised by that.

"And I never seen a person like you." The tree spirit retorted.

"But I can't have you when you're this big." Sofia said with a problematic face. She would dare to bring the tree but she can't bring a thing that was much bigger than her.

"Well, wait a second." The tree spirit said before a sudden light covered a certain large area.

After a moment, a dazzling seed with a fist-size float before Sofia. The seed was mysterious like how the heavenly man wants it to be and exudes a more concentrated aura and refreshments.

"Now, you can have me in your spatial ring." The tree spirit said in a joyous tone.

"Well, okay." Spfia said as she happily placed the seed in her spatial ring.

"What the! So.. so many fruits!" Sofia can heard the tree spirit's voice inside her ring.

After the Sky Multi-Colored Divine Tree was gone, the forest suddenly become dull, thus the reason why Sofia leave the place.

"Wait.. little lady. It seems you have been lucky to get a treasure, ah!" A seductive voice echoed amd after that, a coupled appeared from behind the tree.

Sofia was startled by that and look at the source of the voice.

She saw a man and a woman walking intimately in an elegance manner. Judging from the appearance of the two, although they present themselves as ordinary as they can be, but they won't fool Sofia. In truth the two must be a strong sword user and a mage. And from their walking, it seems they don't touch the ground as no footprints remained, so they must be a saint level. The couple was none other than Michelle and Jacob.

"Hehehe, I'm indeed quite fortunate to find this treasure, so goodbye. God's Mercy!" Sofia didn't further communicate with the two since if she did that, she would be killed for sure.

Using the opportunity while the two was still away, Sofia use her divine skill to get a double amount of her powers. Green light glows brightly as thousand bead of green light entered her body, giving additional strength.

Swish!

With every jump, Sofia seems to be teleporting or blinking in a distance, greatly distancing herself from the two.

"Oh ho! It seems that that girl is smart. Leaving huh? No way!" Jacob said as he let a smirk on his face.

"Sonic Dash!" Jacob yelled as he throw his dagger in Sofia's direction.

"Heavenly Protection!" Sofia yelled without stopping in her escape.

Boom! The dagger create an explosion from the impact with the green shield. The holy protection were shattered but the dagger still goes on but become much slower. Despite being slower, it still hold the same power that can insta kill Sofia.

Through the explosion, Sofia use that as a force to push her body to a definite distance while still advancing. Jumping on a side, Sofia manage to dodge the dagger and make the distance even farther.

"Damnit! It seems that the saying, Strong can be outwit, is true! Michelle, cast a teleportation spell. Teleport us towards the dagger." Jacob said to Michelle as the both of them revealed a smile.

"Okay. God's Arrangement!" Michelle yelled as the heaven becomes bright and shot a light ray towards the two and the dagger.

Tink!

In a second, the position of the dagger and the two were swapped but the two become puzzled because why is there distance still far away from Sofia?

In fact, Sofia knew their movement and cast a fireball spell.

The fireball move like a sound and an instant reach a thousand meters. Not wasting any time, Sofia cast the same teleportation as Michelle and in an instant got swapped and distance herself even more. The fireball even landed on the two who didn't stop chasing her. The two, although want to avoid it, but they were careless and moves so fast.

Boom!

The explosion have no impact but it manage to anger the two.

"Damn that girl!! Why is she so swift! Michelle, do something!" Jacob yelled as he was really angry now.

"Ultimate Speed!" Michelle yelled as invisible light seeped inside their feet, making their movement hasty.

"Immortal's Speed!" Sofia used a more advance speed spell so that she can't be chased by the two.

Swish!

A battle of speed occured inside the forest that greatly bring joy to the heavenly man.

"Hahaha! Sofia, that girl!! So smart! She outsmart that tree I created for a week and even save her strength from fighting the two. But if she continues, she would be at a disadvantage due to the gap in state. And also she was reaching her limit now for overusing her body. To create such a large distance with Divine State away from two Saint State, she was using all her energy to move away. She can't let a single stop or else she will be chased." The heavenly man analyzed what happened beneath him.

"I am feeling fatigue. What do I do?" Sofia said in worry but suddenly she felt a familiar aura.

"Eh? Carl?" Sofia was surprised and followed her instinct.

In just a second, she reached a certain cave and look at its inside cautiously. From the inside, she can hear laughing voices and their munching. She also smell that delicious aroma.

"Hahaha, so have you finally given up?" Michelle let a loud laugh as she look at Sofia with much anger.

"Wait! There's another aura inside the cave. It seems that this girl wants to ask for help." Jacob said as he throw his dagger immediately, not letting Sofia escape.

"Lightning Shield!" A sudden strike of lightning appeared before Sofia, as a shield form a silver dome with lightning flickering on it.

Bang!

An explosion echoed that create a large smokescreen.

"Eh? Seems like you manage to survive this time. If you let us find you alone, we will kill you!" Jacob was suddenly alarmed since he detect that the dagger he throw was suddenly in his back before continuing its attack. If not for his familiarity with his dagger, he would be slashed by his own attack. Frightening.

The two then leave, leaving Sofia in front of the cave.
