Chapter 5: Jacob and Michelle

Inside the mysterious gate, a whole new world can be found with countless life forms within it. These lifeforms are stronger compared to the outside world since the weakest life form in Dying Land have an Immortal State while the strongest life form have a Worldly God state.

The Dying Land was full of thick energy that makes the world inside it green and beautiful. The sceneries were breathtaking except for the beast. The beast varies from each other and have a unique feature that humans would never like. Their appearance is just too much for the eyes and their pressure is too strong.

"Wow! So beautiful!" A girl with a man beside her said, her eyes reflect the Dying Land.

"So thick! This place is good for cultivating!" A man didn't expect for the energy to be so thick.

"So, this is the real ancient ground! So much treasure!" An old man said before disappearing from his position.

"Oh my god! This ancient ground is so beautiful!! There are countless flowers and herbs! There's also those beasts! Truly amazing!" Icy said as she began to run away, leaving Carl who's looking for someone.

"I hope I can stay here forever." A white-haired old woman said as she forced her hand to lift the cane but before she do so, her body began to wither until the last moment of her life.

"Hehehe... What a pity! That genius girl waste her time just because the Dying Land was a beautiful place. Tsk.. tsk.. that's a big mistake for ya!" The heavenly man feels regret for losing a genius individual but also let a smirk for unknown reason.

"So amazing! This unknown fruit can actually increase my energy power!" A man said happily as he munch the fruit on his hand.

"This... this.. herb is.. actually a God level!! Oh my god!! I.. I can be rich with this sprout!! Hahaha!" A man become crazy just for a small green sprout with blue veins on its leaves.

"Holy crap! That's a God level Axe!" A man yelled, catching the attention of the other individuals.

"That's indeed an axe! But... forget about it! Living is important than getting that axe." The man who heard the yell, look at the axe that a certain beast was holding.

The beast have five long claws with three sharp nails each. The beast also have black wings that enable it to fly. The fangs on its mouth were numerous while it eyes amount to five. There is no ears and nose and the shape of its body was bizarre. The beast also have a purple cystal on its forehead, the source of its power. The beast is a God State.

"Oh yeah. Better find a lower level weapon rather than offering my life." Another man said in agreement.

"But that's a God level weapon! We are numerous and there's even two Saint State and a God state.. so we can take it down!" The man who yelled encourage the others.

"Well, I'm out. If you want that weapon then get it on your own." The man who speak earlier said as he turned his back.

"I'm out as well." The man who agreed also left the man who yelled.

"Well, if we indeed take that axe, then who will have it?" A girl said with a meaningful smile. Though the girl speak in a sweet tone, but there was a strong killing intent behind it that pressure the man who yelled.

"Well, the one who contribute the most will get the axe. And besides, not only the axe were the treasure but also its body..." The man explained what's in his mind towards the remaining individuals who looked interested, but before he do so, a diagonal light swiftly passed his body, before blood scattered.

The man who yelled didn't even have time to react and was dead in an instant. The blood that flowed were absorbed by something that makes the remaining individuals pissed their pants. The beast that they were talking about were now leisurely absorbing the man's body while drinking its blood.

The individuals were scared to death because what happened earlier is just too fast! They didn't even detect the aura of the beast nor its movement. The slice of its axe was so fast that it forms a light tail. The pressure were suffocating that they can't or didn't dare to move.

"No..nois-y!" A robotic and stuttered sound echoed from the beast as it continues to eat the flesh.

The woman who were just talking to the man was frightened because she was the closest to what happened earlier. The attack of the beast were like slicing the whole world, making her fell in despair. Despite being a saint state, that power is not definitely her opponent.

"Hahaha... That guy is overestimating his self. Tsk.. tsk.. do you think that I will create a beast that is so weak and easily beaten? Hahaha! What a fool!" The heavenly man relish on what happened to the man.

"That two man made the right decision! Quite impressive." The heavenly man was satisfied with what the two men had done.

"That snake is only an immortal state!" A woman said to the man beside her.

"Yeah, but we can't underestimate it. Although we're a saint level but that snake definitely have something up to its sleeve. It won't be the keeper of that Saint level Whip if it doesn't have the strength to do so." The man placate the woman before taking out his dagger.

The dagger were made of high quality diamonds and have strong damage against beast. The dagger were curved and assembled perfectly. The center blade of it even have a small energy bead that makes it brimming with power.

"I see. Well, you're really brilliant, Jacob." The woman said in a sweet voice that satisfied Jacob.

"You should get ready as well." Jacob said as he throw the dagger toward the snake.

The dagger swiftly charge toward the snake and even split into thousand, but neither one of it strike the snake. The snake disappeared on its position before the dagger reach it.

"Oh crap, that's was a good opportunity." Jacob said in regrets.

The snake who disappeared were actually on the woman's back and was about to bite her legs but Jacob react in time.

"Michelle, be cautious! You must not let your guard down. You almost die!" Jacob said with concern making Michelle felt apologetic.

"I'm sorry. I won't be a burden again." Michelle said before she became serious. It seems that the snake was indeed not ordinary. She almost die without her knowing! So frightening.

"Bride's Gift!" Michelle yelled as a glow emerge on her body. Green beads of spiritual energy escape her body before going towards Jacob.

Upon receiving the gift, Jacob seem to feel the enhancement on all of his stats whether it is about strength, speed and energy. Michelle on the other hand, receive a green shield from her spell so that she can support her gift and prevent someone in dispelling her spell.

Jacob didn't dilly-dally since the snake has already slithered towards Michelle. The snake really move so fast that Jacob find it hard to chase even with the gift.

"Killing Strike!" Jacob yelled as the dagger on his hand teleported toward Michelle before striking the snake at lightning speed.

The snake detect the attack and bend its body to the side but didn't stop gliding towards Michelle.

"Killing Disperse!" Jacob become worried and used another skill again.

The dagger who was struck on the ground float again before splitting into thousands and attack the snake.

"Perfect Shield!" Michelle used another spell alongside the previous spell to double her protection.

A golden shield covers the green shield, doubling the defense of its caster. Michelle, since performing two skill at the same time felt her spiritual energy being consumed quickly.

"Jacob, you better kill the snake already or I'll be run out." Michelle said to Jacob that pressure the latter.

"Okay... I'll try my best!" Jacob said as he began to control his weight into zero, making him move faster.

Jacob also fused all his golden energy into his dagger making his attack more swiftly and powerful. While attacking the snake physically, Jacob also used his spiritual energy to restrict the snake.

"Heaven's Strike!" Jacob, a distance away from the snake, appeared before it in an instant and then swing his dagger.

The dagger glows faintly as its movement tripled. The power it holds also increase.

The snake then stop its charge toward Michelle before shrinking its body until its have the size as an adult's finger.

Jacob was bewildered by that and the skill he used strike nothing but the ground. Strong shockwave cause an earthquake, while a dent were left behind on the ground. A large area of the ground were instantly obliterated, but since the Dying Land has strong regeneration ability, it was of no concern towards the heavenly man who was watching with interest.

"What the!! This snake is definitely not an Immortal State! How can it control its size! That's equivalent to Saint state who can control their weight!" Jacob said seriously.

"What?! So you're indeed right! That snake has really something up to its sleeve!" Michelle felt guilty since if she had known that the snake was this strong, then she wouldn't force Jacob to do this.

"We need to use our strongest attack now!" Jacob said to Michelle.

"Michelle, stop the spell now and use your strongest attack spell, while I'll handle this snake. I'll try to lock it and after I do that, land your spell in an instant, got it?" Jacob said as he explained his plan.

"Yeah, Got it." Michelle agreed without hesitation.

"Mighty Earth, who is the founder, lend me your strength, guide your people, to eliminate evil! Earth's Wrath!" Michelle incant a saint level spell that used all her spiritual energy. Since she also fused all her golden energy, the strength of her saint level spell almost reach the threshold of a God level spell.

The earth starts to vibrate as a strong suction force formed above Michelle's head. A vortex absorb a large amount of land, destroying the forest and diminishing the energy around the surroundings.

The snake felt the threat and tried to escape, but Jacob had also used all his golden energy and spiritual energy just to lock the snake.

"Target Strike!" Jacob, after locking the snake, used all his energy inside his body be it a spiritual energy nor his golden energy and fused it all towards his last skill.

The dagger trembled immensely due to sudden power that was given to it. The dagger were forced to bloat for a few centimeters. The dagger rotate at an incredible speed, making wind pressure add to its power. The saint level skill almost reach the god level skill and instantly charged towards the snake.

The dagger didn't even fly towards the snake but teleport at it within a breath. The snake was greatly alarmed and also used it strongest defense that bounce the dagger. The dagger become dull since Jacob already used up all his energy. Jacob return the dagger on his spiritual ocean which is now dry.

Michelle's attack spell then land after the dagger bounce off. Since the dagger formed a crack on the snake's defense, the brown laser that came from the vortex above her, completely destroyed the defense like a paper before further attacking the snake.

The snake who was defenseless die on the moment of contact with the laser.

Boom!

A loud explosion echoed since the laser hold destructive power. The forest become obliterated into smithereens.

"Wow! That's so fantastic! The cooperation of the two is indeed incredible!" The heavenly man became excited just from watching the battle.

"It seems that the Dying Land would become lively again, ah. Hahaha!" The heavenly man laugh heartily before continuing to watch the flow of events unfolding inside his ancient ground.
