Chapter 2: Immortal Skills

In a sertain space where there is nothing but only a thousand of scrolls, there seem to be a movement as thousand of specks of light starts to converge and form a mysterious portal.

A moment after the portal was made, a heavenly handsome man stepped from it.

"Let's now begin the selection phase." The heavenly man said as he curl up his lips.

The heavenly man raised his hand and with a flick, a golden gate suddenly appeared followed by millions of children who enter the space.

Millions of children have a face of excitement as they look around at the thousand of scrolls spread around them.

But among them, only a few have distinctive features that attract the heavenly man.

Aside from the previous five, there's also this boy who's incredibly talented but was too lazy and uninterested at cultivating. Despite his laziness he still manage to reach the Special State at the age of 10. This boy named Eldrin, an older brother of Elise. Though Eldrin is not as famous as his sister, but that's only because he doesn't like to show his strength and remained hidden until now. Even his sister doesn't know how strong he is.

There's also a beautiful girl with strong frosty aura around her. Her name is Icy, the little sister of Carl. Icy is also strong but she's been forbidden to fight against stronger enemy for fear that she might have a wound, that's why she haven't had the chance to measure how strong she is.

Icy is a smart girl and create a path for her own cultivation journey. Since she can't fight stronger enemy and won't have any pressure to sped up her cultivation, she secretly ask for help from the Chief Guard of their Kingdom.

Another child is a girl with mysterious aura. The heavenly man doesn't know her true origin maybe it's because he doesn't pay attention to it or she might come from another world. Even so, he was sure that the girl will not affect his world and even if she did, he was strong enough to nullify her. Her name was Heaven.

Heaven was a girl that grew up in the mountain side and fought countless wild beasts resulting for her to be experienced in battle.

Beside her is a boy with girly features. Though he may look weak but he can't be underestimated. He is a strong magic user with an ability to control gravity. His name is Oscar.

There are still a thousand children that is remarkable but unfortunately, the heavenly man had only interest with the five children; Robin, Sofia, Elise, Frank and Carl with the addition of Heaven.

"As you may already know, this space is called the Selection Hall. Selection Hall was built for the purpose of keeping all the immortal skills that the True God had made from the past. And as the 5000th rule he made, All human who have reached the age of ten will have a lucky one chance to pick their desired immortal skill." the heavenly man said as the scrolls began to rotate rapidly.

"Immortal skill is very important for you, humans to have so be wise with choosing. You may choose now." the heavenly man didn't stand on ceremony and let the children to start picking already.

Millions of children became busy with choosing the best immortal skill for them that results to fighting with each other. Due to the limited amount of skills, some children must need to share with the others so everyone can have an immortal skill, but if you want to be the strongest, you must not let the others share that skill or else there would be someone who can defeat you with the same immortal skill.

The heavenly man watch the fun from aside. His crystal-like eyes shine brightly as sparks can be reflected on it.

After a day or two, finally, a boy came to him and introduce the immortal skill he chose.

*Infinite Regeneration: The ability to regenerate energy, power, body composition, and life energy within a second to its full level.

Weakness: The holder can only use it once in a day.*

"Are you sure with this skill?" The heavenly man asked the boy.

"Yes, Sir. Although I want to pick other skill, but I know with myself that I have no affinity with magic so I can't use healing spells. And as for healing pills, I'm afraid I can't take that since I'm allergic with pills." The boy said regretfully.

What the boy said was indeed true and the heavenly man respect that, but there can be many ways for him to heal himself such as by doing the Lightning Sword Dance. This is also an immortal skills destined for sword users and judging from the boy he should be a sword user for having sword on his back. This immortal skill have the capability to outburst and damage the enemies, doubled with how much the holder's strength is while at the same time healing the holder by 20%.

But the boy's chosen immortal skill isn't bad since it can revert you in your weakest peak into your strongest peak.

After the boy chose his immortal skill, the scroll he was holding suddenly glow brightly before seeping inside his body. As the glow faded, the scroll reverts to its original form.

The boy seems satisfied with his chosen immortal skill and went out of space. Other children saw the boy and was also tempted by his immortal skill.

"Sir, I will also chose that. What that boy said is the same as me." another boy said without hesitation. The heavenly man agreed and just like what happened to the previous boy, the other boy also disappeared from the space after getting the immortal skills.

This process goes on for ten days until a thousand children remained.

"Sir, before I chose this skill, may I ask, can it also be used by cultivators?" A beautiful girl asked as she open the scroll in her hands.

*Magic Arrow: the ability to make any pieces into thousands while having the same damage. The damage is related to how strong the holder's magic power is.

Note: The holder can also control the arrow to how he/she wants to attack an enemy.

Weakness: This immortal skill can only be used once per day.*

"Yes, but it is a little weaker compared to the use of magic." the heavenly man said.

"Then, is all the immortal skill revisable?" the girl asked again, making the remaining children look at her.

"Yes, but that's depends on someone's ability." the heavenly man was quite shocked by this girl for being thorough in choosing. It seems that he was still lacking in observation skill.

"Then, I will chose this skill." The girl, named Fria, said to the heavenly man.

Fria, upon obtaining the immortal skills, went out of space.

Robin, hearing what Fria asked, become certain to hat skill he will chose. Despite the other many immortal skills that is useful for him, but Magic Arrow is what suits him the best. And knowing that it can be used by magic and cultivation, it was a bonus. And if he can make magic and cultivation integrated to this immortal skill or if he can combined this immortal skill with his divine skill, how powerful will he become? Thinking this way, Robin didn't hesitate and leave the space upon picking an immortal skill.

The heavenly man was really satisfied with Robin's choice since he also feels that, that immortal skill suits him the best.

"Sir, may I also ask you a question?" Carl asked as he show the scroll in his hand.

*Lightning Sword Dance: the ability to infuse lightning to the holder's sword, dealing triple damage while paralyzing the affected enemy by the impact it brought.

Note: Each successful casting will give the holder's 20% healing.

Weakness: The holder must integrate with his sword first before using this skill. The holder must also filled the sword with half of skill each time to perform the attack.*

"What is it?" the heavenly man asked while already knowing Carl's intention.

"Can I use this skill even I can't cultivate?" Carl asked a serious question. He really like this skill since it is what he already pictured in his mind when he will chose an immortal skill.

"Yes. You can condense a sword with your magic. But you must know that the actual sword is thrice stronger than a condensed sword out of magic. And also you must know how to preserve the condensed sword or else it will turn back into specks of magic, making your effort meaningless." the heavenly man answered while giving a little instruction.

"Yes, Sir. I have already decided. I will choose this skill." Carl said without hesitation.

After Carl leave the space, Frank followed him.

"Sir, I will choose this skill." Frank said with determination.

*God's Armor: the ability to be invulnerable against any damage be it cultivation or magic. The holder will also be amplified by 2x.

Weakness: the holder must not have any injury before using this skill. Also, this skill needs 100,000 energy power per half minute and can be multiplied depending on how strong the damage is.*

The heavenly man was satisfied as well before he let Frank chose the immortal skill.

Sofia also chose the immortal skill that the first boy chose, Infinite Regeneration before she disappeared as well.

After a day, only five children remained. All those children who have left have chosen a good and suitable immortal skill for them which make the heavenly man extremely satisfied. It seems that this batch was the best batch compared to before.

Elise, after being conflicted for a couple of days had finally resolved her choice.

Bringing the scroll which contain the immortal skill, Soul Partition,

*Soul Partition: the ability to divide the soul according to how many the holder wants to part his/her soul. Each divided soul will receive the same amount of experience as the real soul does. If the holder integrate each divided soul, the amount of experience that each soul achieved will be transferred to the real soul that will sublime it and make it stronger.

Note: This skill do not affect the progress or deteriorated the talent of the holder but it also do not give anything to the holder unless he/she divided her soul before cultivating it and then integrate it to the real soul. The holder can also integrate the divided soul in any time he/she wants or divide her soul multiple times. The divided soul will have the same cultivation speed and magic mastery but is 20x weaker in terms of strength and defense.

Weakness: Each part of soul can receive damage which will greatly affect the holder's progress. If a part of soul will be destroyed by an enemy, the holder will be delayed by years.*

Elise then went and disappeared. The immortal skill she chose can be considered nonsense and is the reason why no one chose it, but since she has dimension space, she can brought her soul to it and cultivate non-stop.

Eldrin, which make the heavenly man really fascinated actually brought a scroll from his body. It seems that he doesn't want someone to have the same immortal skill he have and actually hide it. Really tricky.

The heavenly man look at the immortal skill Eldrin chose and was surprised since it was indeed powerful.

*God's Speed: the ability to move the same speed as sound. The holder, aside from the whole body, can also specify which part of body he/she wants to be influenced by this immortal skill.

Note: The holder can also have divine skill, Frozen Vision, which has the ability to slow down motion in his eyes while maving like sound. The holder doesn't require much energy, but just have a strong resistance towards fatigue.

Weakness: Fatigue*

Icy chose the immortal skill, Frozen World before following Eldrin to the outside of the space.

*Frozen World: the ability to slow down movements in a range that depends on the holder's desires. The holder will aslo received 2x amplifier.

Weakness: This skill requires 100,000 energy power per 15 seconds.*

On the other hand, Heaven chose the immortal skill, God's Fury.

*God's Fury: the ability to triple the holder's original strength and movements. The holder will also received additional destructive power at the end of duration which is, God's Fist. God's Fist is a Divine Skill that deal damage of 150,000 energy power.

Weakness: Requires 125,000 per 28 seconds.*

The heavenly man look at Heaven with deep contemplation as he really feels mysteriousness from the girl.

The last one is Oscar which chose the immortal skill, Gravity of Time.

*Gravity of Time: the ability to turn back or skip the growth of those who was impacted with the gravity.

Note: the holder can only turn back the growth of an enemy to only one level and if the enemy land a fatal attack on him. The holder can also skip the growth of an allies to one level if the allies are weaker than him.

Weakness: requires 100,000 energy power. This skill only deals gravity to those who's stronger than him. The enemy can also escape from the turning back of level if they manage to move away from the target area where gravity falls.*

Now that all the children have chosen their skills, the heavenly man can finally rest and watch their progress.
