Chapter 13: First Phase

Inside a certain cave.

"Honey, aren't you tired? It's already been two days and you still want another round?" A helpless and weak voice from a man echoed inside the cave.

"But I won't stop until I am sure to have another life in my womb!" The woman who is full of compassion makes the man want to cry.

"Eh? You want another child?" The man nonetheless held the woman as he fill his body with pleasure.

"Yes. So you better do a good job or else we won't stop doing this!" The woman threatened the man as she kissed his lips seductively.

The man was terribly pressured as he continue doing a good job.

On the other hand, at Western Kingdom's Central Plaza.

A large number of crowd filled the place while clamoring loudly. The crowd surrounded a rectangle surface with anticipation in each of their faces as they look at the man standing on it.

The man exudes a frightening aura as he hold a golden scroll.

"What a pleasant evening is this for all of us, don't it? I'm sure everyone is excited for the upcoming battle between the battle of the strong but before we proceed with that, I shall explain the rules first. The Western Kingdom seldomly held an event like this and we are fortunate that the Mighty True Emperor Cashir found a priceless treasure which is the reason why we are gathered here today.

The battle will be composed of three phase, the energy test phase, the strength test phase and lastly the fighting test phase.

In the first phase, all participants have to put their hand on the apparatus that will be provided lately in order for us to measure the golden and spiritual energy. Only 5,000 contestants with the higher tital amount of energy can advance to the next phase.

On the second phase, each contestant will be given an Absolute Rock, a rock that is sturdy even for a Worldly God State. Each contestant must break the absolute rock and only those who manage to finish in the given time is eligible for the last phase.

In the last phase, all the contestant will be put on the same space and must need to eliminate all the other contestant at any way they will except for killing. Who remain alone on the stage will be the winner." The man introduce the rules that make an uproar from the crowd.

"Let's not dilly-dally and start the competition!" The man officially starts the competition as more than ten thousand individual step up on the rectangle surface.

After a few minutes, ten thousand eight hundred sixty-five contestant have a transparent crystal screen on their hand.

The screen was thin and look futile but actually, it is sturdy and have more than ten runes.

"Since everyone held an Energy Detector Screen, please kindly put your hand on it and don't pull it off within half an hour." The man said in a explicit tone.

As the man already instructed, each contestant placed their hands on the apparatus as an electric shock rushed inside their body.

"Ahh!!" Due to being unaware of such effects, hundreds of contestant pull away their hand out of reflexes.

"Ahh.. too bad. Hundreds are eliminated from the competition. Sorry." The man said apologetically as he waved his hand.

Swish!

The contestants who pulled away their hands instantly appeared outside of the surface.

The remaining participants sympathize those whose been kicked out and sigh a relief for fighting the electricity.

A minute later, pillar lights start to converge above each contestant's head as it goes higher and higher.

"Golden light represents the golden energy and blue light represents the spiritual energy. Red light means that the golden energy reached billion while green light means that spiritual energy reached billion. Yellow light means that the individual reach the God State." The man informed the audience as to not get confused.

Towering pillars continue to grow and almost reach the heaven as the crowd become more and more amazed.

"Oh.. oh my god!! So strong! A yellow light!" A certain crowd yelled.

"No, that woman over there is more amazing! Five meter yellow light means that she is a heavenly god state!" A certain crowd burst out while pointing at the crowd.

After half an hour, towering light pillars exude brightness that blind the crowd.

"It seem that almost half of the participants remained standing and still carrying on. All those who have yellow lights will be eligible to pass on the second phase. Congratulations to all of you." The man said as he announced the result.

"Since 4,658 participants have already been selected, only 552 participants will need to be judged and picked carefully. Those who have 5 meters red and green light, you can advance to the second phase. Congrats. Only 5 are left to complete the 5,000 quota for second round. Contestant number 476, 2359, 8567, 9996, and 42, you passed the first phase, congratulations!" The man said towards all the qualifiers.

"For those who didn't pass, I'm sorry but there's always next time." The man said apologetically as he removed all those who's been disqualified out of the surface.

"Damn it!! Why do we need to measure energy?!" An angry woman voice echoed within the crowd.

"Icy, it's fine. There's always next time." Carl said as he comfort his sister.

"I want to fight!!" Icy said as she become regretful.

"We're still too young and can't fight those qualifiers. They're too strong for us." Carl said as he lead Icy to an available seat.

"What a pity. I'm still weak." A dejected voice echoed from the crowd.

"It's fine, sister. Mother won't punish us since she's still not coming back home so maybe she's in seclusion." Eldrin said as he let a smile.

"I should really need to breakthrough." Frank said with complicated face as he knows what to do but the question is how can he do it?

"Why don't you ask Icy for help? From what I remember last time, she actually find Jumping Jack Flower in the ancient ground." Elise said as she think for a moment.

"Eh? Why would I need to ask her?" Frank was surprised at Elise's suggestion.

"Why don't you just ask me? I have special elixir pills from mother." Eldrin said as he opened his hand with a vial that contains two bizarre green pills.

"What?! It.. it's the Energy Refillment Pill!" Frank was surprised as he look at the pills.

"Eh? If you give that to him, Mother will kill you for sure." Elise said as she shook her head with a pity in her eyes.

"Elise is right. I don't want to cause you trouble, so just keep it away." Frank said regretfully but it was visible in his eyes that he wants it.

"Okay then." Eldrin said as he keep away his treasure.

"Hmm... As I thought, I'm still weak but fortunately I passed the first phase. It all thanks to that water spirit. His holy spiritual bead is really of great help. Although it's in my life weapon, but my life weapon is in my spiritual lake so, maybe that's the reason why the screen read its spiritual as well." Robin muttered toward himself as he become thankful.

"Congrats Robin." A certain woman suddenly walk towards Robin and congratulate him.

"Eh, Sofia? You.. also passed? Then congrats as well." Robin didn't quite belive it.

"Yes. Thank you." Sofia answered calmly. But truth to be told, it is mainly because of the tree spirit. The screen was actually modified by the tree spirit and included its own energy in its own. What a cheat.

"That's good. I can finally found someone to talk with." Robin said as he smiled gracefully at Sofia.

"Hahaha.. Me too." Sofia said before the two continue to talk with each other.

"Eh? What a coincidence." Carl, who's wanting to get out of the plaza suddenly met a familiar faces.

"What a coincidence indeed." Elise said as she let a beautiful smile.

"Oh, did you also join the contest?" Icy asked, hoping to find a supporter and listener.

"Yeah. We try our luck, unfortunately, we didn't qualified." Frank said dejectedly.

"I feel the same way as well! Actually I want to battle but why do these contest have such energy testing?! It's utterly unfair to those who have weaker state!" Icy blurted out what she was wanting to say.

"Indeed, I agree with you in that. Why do they need energy testing instead of a real battle?" Frank supported Icy's claim.

"It's because to make sure that the battle later on is safe and fair. If we, Divine State, fight a God State, it's possible that we will die from the opponent's strike." Elise blurted out which make her received a glare from Icy.

"Elise is right, so don't be foolish okay?" Carl said as he pat his sister's head.

"But Sister Sofia and that guy is able to be qualified! They're also only a Divine State!" Icy said as if she feel indignant.

"That's because those two found treasure from the ancient ground that help those two contribute spiritual energy." Elise explained again as shelet a sigh.

"Whatever! It still unfair!" Icy said as she look at Frank as if looking for an answer.

"Yeah." Frank was flustered and answered unknowingly.

"As if you really want to battle, tsk!" Eldrin said in a teasing voice towards Frank.

"So what do you mean by that?! I'm a coward?!" Frank was annoyed despite it being as a joke.

"Why? Aren't you really a coward?" Eldrin provoke Frank even more.

Frank grab Eldrin's collar as he wants to punch the latter but stop midway.

"As expected, you're nothing but a piece of sh*t. Dare to talk when you're nothing but just a speed boy." Frank really said hurtful words that surprise the other listeners.

"What did you say?!" Eldrin pulled the hand away from his collar and glared at Frank.

"Not only like that but a deaf as well. What a pitiful guy!" Frank wasn't provoke and continue to insult the other.

"Ha! I see, so that's what I look like to you and my sister. Better not see you again in this lifetime!" Eldrin said angrily as he disappeared into nowhere.

"Sorry about that." Frank said to Icy and Carl with a smile on her face.

"Hehehe... It's fine. We already encounter so much of that and even were more drama than that. So don't need to worry." Carl explain towards Frank.

"Hey, aren't you a bit too harsh?" Elise seeing her brother like that, of course, would be annoyed at Frank as well.

"No! He just deserve it!" Frank said with lingering anger.

"I see. But do know that my brother have one word." Elise said as she chase her brother.

"What a turn! Why did it turn to this kind of drama?" The heavenly man was quite dissatisfied as he was not interested in any of drama but in action and adventure only.
